I would give zero stars if I could. go anywhere else!! I had a sewer blockage that they came out to fix on Thursday. By Saturday the blockage was back. Couldn't come back til Monday. Guy came out on Monday and while repairing the clog he shattered my toilet. now they want $400 to fix what they broke. And that is with me buying the toilet. I told them I would sue them for damages if the work wasn't done for free. Tech left in the middle of the job and now I am looking for another plumber to fix what they broke. Run away from this company. oh and did I mention the manager hung up on me?

I had Mr Rooter come out to connect a gas stove they charged 655 dollars, and told me for a small fee they remove the old one . then the technician said it was 359 to remove the old one.

I called the owner and he said that I was using social media as a weapon , I told him I am in sales and the reason I am calling is to not go to social media. he kept saying the opposite, so I see the deception starts from the owner.

DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING AND THEIR NAME IS MR. ROOTER not to be confused with the other companies who have rooter in their names

I was looking to have well piping replaced, specifically Jody who was very deceptive for saying yes when in fact they do not perform this work. Beware! as they will test your water (for free?) and write it up on your credit card as such. You will not be able to dispute your $49.99.
Deceptive business practice as they are independently owned

I had a great experience with Mr Rooter today, I needed a simple fix in my bathroom and they took care of it in a matter of minutes! They were able to come out the same day that I called and also double checked my other bathrooms for any potential issues. They detected a water dripping sound in the ceiling above my bathroom and recommended that I also have my central air system serviced just to check for leaks. Their attention to detail was great and very much appreciated. Thank you for your help!

THEY PRICE GOUGE! I'm so disappointed with what they charged me for a simple disconnect of a gas stove and connection of a new gas stove. I made an appointment with Mr Rooter and was charged a dispatch fee of $49.99. The plumber with Mr Rooter showed up promptly and was very polite. No complaints with him. He gave me a price of $309.01 to disconnect the gas from the old stove. He was in my house for 15 to 20 minutes tops. At that point I had no choice to disconnect the gas for my old stove because my new stove was arriving that afternoon. He came back the next day to connect the gas to my new stove. He gave me a price of $448.97 to connect the gas to my new stove. That took approximately 30 minutes but he had to wait approximately 15 minutes extra because I had a super important long distance call. He was very patient and I appreciate that. Minimal parts needed. So for approximately a total of 1 hour Mr Rooter CHARGED ME A TOTAL OF $807.97! That was just to disconnect my old stove and connect my new stove! A fairly quick and simple process. The prices are set by the owner/boss not the technician/plumber. Sorry but I feel $807.97 is PRICE GOUGING!!! I'm looking at other reviews now and it appears others have the same complaint! I wish I checked their reviews first.

Sorry to have to add my 2 stars but, with a recent staffing change my evaluation of Mr. Rooter (now Mr. wallet rooter) has fallen. For a recurrent soil pipe restriction, two technicians arrived and to the tune of $775.oo proceeded to fiddle with the issue from a first floor toilet flange rather than enter the basement and open the cleanout (thats why they call it that) and power snake. After 2.5 hrs and the above charge they were unsucessful.
We then called an independent company (I will not name him but he is a Mr. Rooter alumnus) and for half the price, with a basement cleanout approach, had the line open in 3 hours AND WILL CHECK BACK in several weeks to monitor. BTW basement conditions were the same... Clearly the Rooter team in not trained well enough to be dispatched on their own. Sorry but it is what it is...

I called to have a toilet swapped out. Wouldn't give me and estimate over the phone. I had the new toilet. It ended costing $600 for 1 hour work. Never again !

I was so happy the first time I used this company. Eric came to my house and was very patient with my questions and offered detailed explanations so naturally when I had furnace issues I called them again. I needed my pilot lit and also wanted to get an estimate to replace the furnace. The tech that came out, Mark, was to say the least awful. He complained about having to go up and down the stairs to my basement. All he wanted was to make the sale for $15,000 . He did the estimate which was $5000 MORE than the one Eric gave me 2 years ago, I questioned that and he told me that Eric only gave me an estimate for "" a"" not ""a and b"". Completely wrong I asked for the exact same estimate. then he proceeded to get ready to leave without lighting my pilot so I asked and he said oh no I don't bring tools into the house when I do an estimate and that will be $350 for me to light it. I told him THAT was my reason for calling. He couldn't get it to stay lit ( or so he said - and charged me $600 for a part- a two foot wire shown I. Photo below - I know he was overcharging me in a big way but I needed heat in the house so paid it. When he left all of a sudden there was a leak in a pressure valve so I ran out to grab him- he came back in and said that's $1000 to fix. I declined.
I called the service manager about the estimate and she determined that he OVERCHARGED on my estimate by $2500!!!
He left my house knowing that one zone was not firing - he said it could take some time- after two days still there was no heat. The company wanted to charge me to come out again. Instead I called another plumber and they found a crack in a pipe right above where the first plumber was working and it was leaking carbon monoxide so the whole system had to be shut down. Mr Rooter boasts about a no quibble guarantee on parts so when I called to inquire about getting my $600 back I have recieved complete silence. I have called I have emailed. I have left messages.
I am surprised that a female service manager would allow her techs to treat women differently. Everything about this man screamed ripping me off. I am so disappointed. As a female I rely on the professionals to act in a professional manner and not take advantage. We call them for help not to get screwed over. If you use them ask for ERIC Murphy and refuse Mark Reddan. He is a rip off and will take advantage.

Better business bureau is next .

$5000 for 4 hour job replacing a gas line

insisted replacing plumbing in outdoor shower despite town inspector not mentioned it. copper press fitting was loose he said that's normal. probably expecting me to call next summer when it falls off after the freeze thaw

they put two big holes in foundation
we weren't hone for a month so a rat came through the hole and ate everything it could find pissing and crapping everywhere

had to fill hole with mortar and when I pulled up access panel noticed he supported the gas line to stove with a stone. wonder why it was really loose?

""we charge per job not hour, you're paying for experience""

plumbers in mass know homeowners can't do own plumbing so they take advantage and charge what they want. it's very unfair most of us cant afford to get shafted like this

I'd add pictures if this app would let me

After speaking with a representative and explaining that I was not expecting to pay 0.00 for any service, but also didn't think checking the placement of the wax ring should cost 475.00 they offered to come and check the wax ring placement at no cost. It turned out to be an issue with the wax ring and was replaced. I'm am glad that this was able to be taken care of and I continue to look forward with doing business with this company in the future.
