Service person was great.
Tried to get detailed invoice explaining charges, was told by owner that they could not provide. Could not tell me hourly labor rate or parts cost. Never ran into that answer for any services provided.
This company is an absolute rip off. Technician said he stopped at supply house before arriving . Left after two hrs. , said he had to go back to the supply house . Came back , left again , went back to supply house . After six hrs said the supply house didn't have the right part . Still charged me six hours and fixed nothing . He wrote on the invoice "" things didn't Work our in his favor "". I also asked him at least three times what it would cost to fix and he kept saying he didn't know until he got in there . After all was said and done told me that since he couldn't fix it , I was going to have to replace the whole thing .
I asked for a quote for three things. They recommended replacing all three things (2 faucets and a toilet). I only needed to do 1 faucet as an emergency so I had them do it. The following week, I watched a youtube video to fix the second faucet and found that I could fix it with a new part that cost $7 and 10 minutes of work. I did the work myself and saved the $600 they quoted to ""fix"" the issue. This fix was something any plumber would be able to know on the spot, and they tried to screw me over. Now I wonder (and suspect) they screwed me on the first faucet that they ""fixed."" Needless to say, I won't be using Mr. Rooter again and if I were you, I'd look for a different plumbing company.
Meagan E.Don't waste your time. With the sketchy practice of requiring a non-refundable (??) deposit of $50 for first time customers, I was skeptical. But I was reassured they wouldn't cancel the emergency service they scheduled for me the day after I called (forget that ""same day"" promise on their website.) But then they did. 20 minutes before they were supposed to show up. They did refund my deposit quickly - the only plus. Will never call again - stick with your local plumber.
Red S.I'll just post the 1 star for now I'll wait till after taking to office on Monday about charges post to my card
$$$$$
Refuses to give a price over the phone, charged a $100 dispatch fee. You cant get a price until the technician is onsite and you have paid $100. Tech then tries to charge $800 for drain cleaning. Have had other companies do it for $200 in the past. 4x the price no wonder they wont give you a price over the phone. A complete ripoff. Find a small plumbing operation if you need your drains cleaned without cleaning your pocket at the same time.
Israela B.Out first experience with Mr. Rooter Plumbing and we couldn't be happier. Lewis, our Plumbing Technician, was prompt, professional and exceptionally nice. He's just the type of professional you hope for when you call for help. Based on this we'd definitely (although hopefully won't have to) work with them again.
Called this company to replace an outside faucet. They insisted on charging me $49.99 on my credit card before they'd come out. The money would be applied if you use them but if you don't, you're out the money. They arrived promptly and gave such a ridiculous cost for this simple job (over $800.00!!) that I asked them to leave. Called another professional plumber who came out (no charge) and did the job for $115 (and received a good tip from me). This company charges far over the standard prices and you'd do well to check with others before hiring them no matter how prompt they are.
Colin C.This is the second time in as many years I've used Mr. Rooter for plumbing services with absolutely no issues or complaints. The woman that scheduled the appointment was very nice and attentive and was able to accommodate some last minute changes I had to make due to a scheduling conflict on my part.
Jared and Eric came to my house to install a new gas range. Despite having to pull permits and all that good stuff the price was fair, the guys were very professional and super friendly. They called 30 minutes before they arrived and were smack dab in the middle of the 2 hour window I was given. They did the job quickly and effectively and even helped me bring my old gas range out to the curb. I don't see myself using any other plumbing service in the near future.
Steve A.Replaced an outdoor faucet... maybe more expensive, but prompt, reliable, clean, quick, competent. I bought a 3 year membership for $100 and got a discount right away. I'll be preferred for future emergencies and good discounts on work. When you need a plumber, you usually can't wait!
