Sorry to see all the bad reviews, because I have nothing but positives to say about my experience. I had technician Josh come out to fix a clog in my sewer. I assume Josh came out of the Folsom area, as I live close to Folsom. The clog was diagnosed and fix within 45 mins. Tree roots were entering the line through the joints in the pipes. Josh took his time to explain to me exactly what was going on, and told me my options for repair. This is not the first time I have used this company and will not be the last. If I am in need of their services again in the future I will definitely ask for Josh.

I needed my water heater replaced. Adam did a great job. It took the time he said it would. He cleaned everything up nicely. He was very friendly and polite. If you need something done he will do it right.

Another excellent experience with Mr Rooter. Adam Jones came over to work on the drain from our kitchen and laundry to the main line. They spent the better part of the day crawling under the house to make it happen.

Avoid these ""plumbers"". Cost me $250 for 15 minutes to unclog main line due to clogged sink. Technician used the video head to feed down and free grease clog. Talked me into buying their useless bio-chem maintenance agent to eat away grease, etc and prevent future problems. 3 months later, same clog, same problem. Called them and they said no warranty, no discount, nothing. Blamed it on egg shells and disposal. Useless and a ripoff, won't stand behind work.

I had problems with both my bathroom toilets and tubes, water was overflowing when I flush. I call Mr. Rooter and a plumber was at my house in 20 minutes( that was a plus) but what happen after that is what I'm not too happy. He arrived at my place (South Sacramento ) . He asked me what was going to him about and he went around looking for a sewer clean out and couldn't find it so he shined hid flash light into my basement and said that there's sewer water all over in there and couldn't do anything until its all clean up "" ONE OF YOUR SEWER PIPE IS BROKEN)"" he said. He recommended a cleaned up specialist...giving no other options and I needed it fix I agree. The specialist came out within 30 minutes and crawled under my basement, examined, and gave me an estimate of $611 to do the clean up...once again I had no choice. I said go ahead. After the cleaned up he said "" I don't think its sewer spill, looks like you got a small leaks from one of your fresh water line not the sewer line. ( Paid the guy for the service and call Mr Rooter again. He came back and I told him that he gave me wrong info and I paid $611 for nothing...he just laughed it off and said I thought it was sewer water... Anyway to make storing short. He came back and charge me $537 for his service which turn out to be a problem with the County pipe having roots build up in it. He walked away saying there's no warranty on my work today...it could happen again today or tomorrow and if we come out again we'll charge you the same price. DON'T USE THESE PEOPLE CALL IF YOU LIVE IN THE SACRAMENTO AREA CALL THEM FIRST THEY WILL COME OUT AND TELL YOU IF ITS YOUR PROPERTY PROBLEM OR THERE'S. I would not use them anymore. I feel like they ripped me off with their services also unprofessional, leave dirty latex gloves behind and dirt trail all over.

Had a clogged drain. Said it would take 60-90 minutes. Quoted $220. He was done 15 minutes but would not adjust the price. I will not be calling them again.

I hate to write bad stuff about a business. But this business don't deserve any customer (should be out of business). Over charge me for a simple job, and make up things that doesn't have problem. Very dishonest business practice, should be out of business.

Mr Rooter was incredible! Be sure and ask for ADAM! He was great, we live in Loomis so its a bit of a drive but he came and was very pleasant! It was cold and like 8 pm ... He worked quick and the price was very fair, yet took the time to get to know us a little and build that customer Service.

Adam gave a good quote to start, and due to our home and pipe configuration things were a little more difficult, but he clearly explained the options and the costs prior to finishing the job ... he communicated with us through the whole process of resolving our stoppage!!

Mr. Rooter has our business for good! Thanks Adam for everything ...

My sewer line had backed up on Christmas Eve. I had called my sewer insurance but the service center was closed. I had to call an emergency plumber in the interim. This company was Mr. Rooter. Before assessing my line, this young man took note of my fruitless mulberry tree in the front yard and immediately told me I needed a new sewer line and that it would be $5800. Thirty minutes later, he allegedly scoped my line with a camera and said that tree roots had destroyed my piping so much that he was unable to snake the line for fear of ruining his $3000 cable. He said there was no way to repair it. I paid $179 for him to remove my overflow cap and tell me a bunch of lies.

Mr. Rooter was prompt, for which I will give them 1 star. However, this technician recognized two female homeowners as an opportunity to take advantage by using fear tactics to create a sale. This is one sleazy company that I will never use again.

The following morning, my insurance company dispatched America's Plumbing Company which further validated Mr. Rooter's lies. Marcus came out on Christmas Day and was very friendly and helpful. He snaked my line and then ran the camera. He called me out to view every inch of the pipe and there was absolutely no roots or breakage, in fact, he said it was the nicest looking sewer line he's seen in a while. The actual problem, it was discovered, is at the junction of the county line. He advised that I call the county and have them review the line for it's repair. Then he came into the house (after putting on shoe covers) and proceeded to check all the sinks, toilets, and showers to make sure all drains and pipes were functioning. He was very thorough, courteous and professional. It was nice to have honest service.


I would highly recommended America's Plumbing Company for any plumbing needs.

When using Mr. Rooter, buyer beware!

On November 10, 2012, we called because we had a leak in the ceiling . When the repairman arrived we showed him the leak and he had no ladder, so we got ours for him to use. He had only a box cutter to cut into the ceiling drywall for 12 feet so again we got tools for him to use. Next he had no tarps to cover the carpet where the ceiling drywall was coming down. Again we provided the tarps and laid them out. He was very tentative removing the drywall so I helped him with that. Together we figured out where the leak was coming from and told him we would have someone else repair it. He was at our house for a little under an hour, had no supplies, and had help and charged us $179.00,. When he left he didn't even clean up any of the mess on the tarp. Called the company to complain, but never heard from them, Mr Rooter claims they don't charge a service call, only for the work they do, so for what we got I feel $179.00 was excessive.
