Duck launched his plumbing venture, naming it Mr. Rooter. The Neighborly Group purchased Mr. Rooter Plumbing in 1989 following negotiations with Duck and Don Neighborly. Although Duck transferred the rights to the business and its original franchises, he retained his shop in Oklahoma City. David Duck is still a franchise owner today.
