I've never dealt with a more unprofessional company in my life. We had a failed shutoff valve behind a bathroom sink that we needed replaced and they came in and quoted 800$ to replace it. We thought the price was high for the repair and the plumber on site then said "Then call a handyman and stop wasting my fucking time." and stormed off. Unbelievable. I would recommend you not do business with these jerks.

These guys were terrible. Had a clog in my main line that I had tried to snake with no success. Mr Rooter's guy came out and tried the exact same thing with the same tool that I tried before calling them which of course didn't work. So that was $100 for nothing. I told him that they could rooter it from the outside main line easily but this guy said that they needed to pull the toilet ($350) then run a camera ($200) then probably snake the main line ($?).
Paid him the $100 and called Johnny Rooter. They came out quickly, rooted from the main line outside and in 5 minutes, problem solved! $140 and they were gone.
Call another "Rooter" next time because "Mr" has no idea what he's doing.

Grant (plumber) arrived ahead of time. I live in a mobile home and an exterior water faucet needed to be replaced. He gave me a bid that I felt was very reasonable and I accepted. The job ended up taking almost 5 hours (much longer than I'm sure he thought it would take [it's a mobile home so those who own one understand]). When he completed the job I expected that he would need to change the bid (and I would have understood) but he stayed with the original bid. Being on a fixed income I really appreciated that. The job is complete, and I am extremely pleased with Grant and Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Austin. I recommend them with Five Stars.

I had a service call for a broke outside water faucet over the weekend (the fitting split during the cold). They repaired it over the weekend and did a fine job. This is 4 stars as this was not a bigger job, but for this we were treated professionally and the work was completed.

This is the first review I have ever done but needed to let people know of the great service I received from Mr. Rooter. I went to Lowes to get advice on problem with a slow bathtub drain and they are one of the plumbing service providers. To make a long story short the job was more than a simple fix but Steve had quoted me a price that I was happy with and then when it involved more time and even having to come back to finish later to make sure it was right(it was a unique situation changing some plumbing etc). Bottom line great job and stayed on original quote. I am a 63 yr native Austinite and just want to let people know if they ever have any plumbing issues these guys stand by their word which you know can be a rarity these days. Thanks again Brent and Steve! Skip Petty

These guys were great! They did all the plumbing work for my kitchen remodel. New garbage disposal, faucet/sink hookup, dishwasher hookup, and fridge. They helped identify places where they could save me money. I also appreciated the advice they gave me on shopping for faucets. They also checked my bathroom and laundry plumbing. They are very responsive and communicate well. I also like that they are available on weekends without charging extra. They are my go-to plumbers now.

My garbage disposal drain plugged on a Friday night. I waited until Saturday to try to get someone to come out to fix it and found few plumbers who bothered to return my call. In the meantime, I figured my "builders' model" needed to be replaced at the same time, so that became an issue. No problem! Bret returned my call immediately, had all the answers to my questions, and send Michael out by the afternoon with the proper model to replace my old disposal with. Michael (and Isabel) were professional, neat, and cleaned up nicely after the installation. I would not hesitate to call Michael again for any plumbing needs!

OK, WTF!! My shower drain clogged and I called Bret after reading the raving reviews. He was pleasant and professional on the phone. I asked for an over the phone quote and he told me that he would come out and assess the situation, then give me a quote. I got that response from a couple of people, so fair enough. We set a time for 1400, same day. This was at 0900 on a Sunday.

At 1255 Bret calls and tells me that the typical charge for this type of service is $198.00! I'm like, hold on a minute. You previously told me that you would look at my situation then give me a quote. He was like "yes, that's true, I just want to let you know that it's typically $198.00". I said "well jeez guy, wish you could have volunteered this information four hours ago, because then I had a quote from someone else for $109.00!".

Thanks Mr. Rooter for wasting my time and losing me a quote of $109! Fortunately, I was able to get the work done much cheaper than your typical $198 four hour decision making quote.

I had a faucet that was groaning. Called a couple plumbers and IF I got a call back, they wanted at least $100 for diagnosis/trip charge and usually couldn't fit me in for at least a week. Mr. Rooter scheduled for the next day and there was no charge for the diagnosis. He actually missed that appointment but called later apologizing profusely because he'd accidentally put my appointment down for the following week. He seemed very sincere; I believed him.
Came out the next day and diagnosed a new faucet was needed. Guess what? NO CHARGE! I don't know if that's normal or if he just felt bad because he missed the initial appointment. Honest and great service. I've bookmarked Mr. Rooter - I will definitely use him in the future and refer him.

Call Mr. Rooter first! We had a leak that was causing a wet spot on our carpet. After another company crapped out on me, I called Mr. Rooter on a Saturday and they$0scheduled me for an appointment that afternoon. The technician explained the different scenarios that could be the cause, and how much we could expect to pay for each. Then he checked our dishwasher and found that it was the problem. He recommened a water cleanup company that turned out to be really good as well. After more than an hour's visit, the total cost was...wait for it....$0. I actually would have been happy to pay a service charge, but the visit was completely free, even on a Saturday. I can't imagine that I would call any other plumbing company.
