Brett Bidwell at Mr. Rooter is the man. After the recent icepocalypse in Texas, we had a busted copper pipe in the attic. It was impossible to get a hold of any plumbers. I saw a Mr. Rooter truck across the street, and I went over to try to get on their list. Brett made time to assess our problem and fix it at the end of that same day, on his own time, after his shift was over. He got us patched up, and Mr. Rooter got us fixed up permanently three days later.

Scammers. Don't let them take advantage of you.

Improper diagnosis and installation led to more water damage to kitchen. Overcharged me by a thousand dollars. Refused to fix.

Improper assessment of the garbage disposal that was broken. Charged me $1400, for a new one, and an hours worth of work.

Two days later: New Garbage disposal doesn't work. New pvc pipe put in leeks water under sink and onto kitchen floor. A disaster.

Called them to talk about the issue and send "repairman" back out. Michael told me there was food stuck in the NEW garbage disposal that was the problem.......

Refused to fix working pipe, or any other part of the job. Refused to provide hourly service quote and breakdown of services I was charged.

Spoke to the lady who scheduled the appointment and she too refused to provide a breakdown of services cost and charged.

After talking to Bert at mr rooter he agreed the charge was to much and arranged a credit. The work was done satisfactory and I felt the credit made the cost reasonable.

Mr. Rooter was awesome. They were scheduled for the day but due to my sewer mainline was blocked they worked me in and got the problem resolved. Michael did a fantastic job quickly clearing the line and then scoping the line to see what the problem was.. turns out there were tree roots that had caused the blockage. He took the time to explain to me that this was a temporary fix until the roots grew back and told me what it would take to fix it permanently. I was very pleased with the service and the honest and thorough work that Michael did so we knew what caused the problem and how to fix it from coming back. Thanks Mr Rooter

I expect to get overcharged by Lawyers, but I did not expect to pay more per hour than a lawyer for a plumber to replace 2 copper flex pipes. I guess because I had already scheduled the condo HOA to turn the water off to the building, he knew I was over a barrel and needed to get it done then. Stephen was friendly and talkative which is what I expect when getting screwed.

Elder mother used the company. They overcharged her for work that wasn't done and didn't fix the problem. Attempted to scam her out of additional funds for work that might fix the problem. Then attempted to pass off a fraudulent inspection report when no inspector had been to the job site. Very untrustworthy.

Complete waste of time. Charged $50 for service visit for a 10 second quote of $400 for replacing kitchen sink water shutoff valves. Ridiculous estimate for $20 worth of parts. I ended up using a different plumber for $150.

Charged me $50 service visit fee to give me a 10 second estimate on replacing two shutoff compression valves for kitchen sink. Estimate was for $400. No break down of parts/labor. I know parts are about $20 at local hardware store so absolutely ridiculous estimate for labor. I will not use them for any future jobs as this was complete waste of time and money.

They require a $49.95 "service charge" just to come out and provide a quote or estimate. I was looking for bids on a two unit tankless water heater upgrade for my home and Mr. Rooter is the only company that wanted to charge me a trip fee to provide an estimate.
