OK, WTF!! My shower drain clogged and I called Bret after reading the raving reviews. He was pleasant and professional on the phone. I asked for an over the phone quote and he told me that he would come out and assess the situation, then give me a quote. I got that response from a couple of people, so fair enough. We set a time for 1400, same day. This was at 0900 on a Sunday.

At 1255 Bret calls and tells me that the typical charge for this type of service is $198.00! I'm like, hold on a minute. You previously told me that you would look at my situation then give me a quote. He was like "yes, that's true, I just want to let you know that it's typically $198.00". I said "well jeez guy, wish you could have volunteered this information four hours ago, because then I had a quote from someone else for $109.00!".

Thanks Mr. Rooter for wasting my time and losing me a quote of $109! Fortunately, I was able to get the work done much cheaper than your typical $198 four hour decision making quote.

I had a faucet that was groaning. Called a couple plumbers and IF I got a call back, they wanted at least $100 for diagnosis/trip charge and usually couldn't fit me in for at least a week. Mr. Rooter scheduled for the next day and there was no charge for the diagnosis. He actually missed that appointment but called later apologizing profusely because he'd accidentally put my appointment down for the following week. He seemed very sincere; I believed him.
Came out the next day and diagnosed a new faucet was needed. Guess what? NO CHARGE! I don't know if that's normal or if he just felt bad because he missed the initial appointment. Honest and great service. I've bookmarked Mr. Rooter - I will definitely use him in the future and refer him.

Call Mr. Rooter first! We had a leak that was causing a wet spot on our carpet. After another company crapped out on me, I called Mr. Rooter on a Saturday and they$0scheduled me for an appointment that afternoon. The technician explained the different scenarios that could be the cause, and how much we could expect to pay for each. Then he checked our dishwasher and found that it was the problem. He recommened a water cleanup company that turned out to be really good as well. After more than an hour's visit, the total cost was...wait for it....$0. I actually would have been happy to pay a service charge, but the visit was completely free, even on a Saturday. I can't imagine that I would call any other plumbing company.

Called to get an estimate for installing some bathroom faucets, they called me back right away and set up an apt. to come to the house. Michael came over and he was very friendly and informative. They emailed me a detailed estimate; however, after checking with 3 other plumbers the Mr. Rooter estimate was ~$1500 over what the others charged! So friendly and seems like they know what they are doing but *expensive*.

Our hot water stopped working and Michael came out and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. He told me there may be a potential issue with a computer chip but for now he would adjust the setting on the pilot light and light the pilot light. Since no real work was involved, I was not charged for the visit. Michael was very friendly and I appreciated the little touches such as bringing foot covers so that dirt was not tracked on thr floor. These people understand customer service.

A problem with my faucet was causing water to leak all over my floor. Not only did Brett from Mr. Rooter diagnose and fix the problem, he gave me helpful tips to increase the longevity of my tankless waterheater free of charge! THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Would not hesitate to call them again for future services needed.

Hands down, the friendliest, most knowledgeable, and efficient experience I've ever had dealing with a plumbing company. Emilio was awesome and I would, without hesitation, gladly recommend! Work was done very quickly and thoroughly explained. Many thanks.

Ends up, I was wrong!

Toilet had a clog deep and Mr. Rooter found it and removed it. It shows that it is best to pay a bit more up front to know that they can fix complications that are bound to arise. I'll be calling Mr. Rooter again next time.

Timely, good work, but way overpriced!

They charged $264, just for a simple toilet wax seal replacement. I'll be looking for a new plumber for next time.

The good: prompt service.

The bad: exorbitant price for routine services, even more expensive than my lawyer on the hourly basis:
$270 for installing gas dryer.
$75 for installing a shower head (takes less than 2 mins, not including the service fee for showing up)
