Mountaineer Mechanical was founded in 2002 in Little Hocking, Ohio. It evolved from a small family business with just a few employees to 12 employees by 2008. A new facility, including an office and warehouse, was built in 2010. In 2015, an additional location opened in Parkersburg, West Virginia, employing 30 staff members and specializing in heating, cooling, plumbing, and commercial restaurant equipment.

Growing up in Little Hocking, Ohio, Eddie dreamed of starting his own business from a young age, just like those before him. His father, a plumber, taught him valuable skills that would benefit him later in life. Eddie continued his education, focusing on computers, refrigeration, and commercial restaurant equipment. He held various positions, including work with the Electricians Union and Hobart Sales and Service. He eventually moved to Minneapolis, MN, to join Hobart Corporate, bringing his wife and small child along. After a year away from his roots and discovering he would soon be a father again, he chose to return to Little Hocking and start his own venture. With the support of dedicated employees and loyal customers, he has built a thriving business with multiple locations.
