This is not a review about the work(because no work was performed) this is a review in regards to customer experience. Had the team come out and provide an estimate, I had the work scheduled, then the team comes back to start the work, notices that a ""special part"" needs to be ordered and they will reach out to their contacts and then call me back to reschedule. A week later(today), I call the office and follow up status. Message was passed to the team. I get a call back saying ""no one would sell them the part"", which I understand. But what I do not like is ""lack of follow up"", this could have been conveyed to me days ago. And I would have reached out to whomever, so If you say your going to follow up..then do so.

Called this business to assess our drain in the crawlspace. I asked if there was a fee and was told no. When the 'plumber' arrived we were told it would be a $500 non-refundable fee for going into a crawlspace! I asked what if the problem is a quick $100 fix and was told I would be out the $500! Thievery in disguise; beware of these guys. Tried calling them 3 times and never got past the 'call killer' secretary. Tried calling the owner and again, the secretary intercepted the call and demanded to know why we wanted to talk to the owner before hanging up on us. It's obvious the plumber that came out is after quick cash! Not a good representative of the company - or is he?

Our basement started to flood this past Saturday and Motor City had their men to my house within the hour. The problem turned out to be a massive job with my driveway being dug up and sewer lines repaired. They arrived the following Thursday and finished in one day! Tim, Jack, and Josh were friendly and knowledgeable. They we're informative and helpful. They did a great job cleaning up when they were done. Highly recommend!!

The damage done to my home during a complete repipe. The job was five grand. They cut the price$200, then warranteed their work for 60 days. Unprofessional, swearing in my home. I will never use them again

The technician Esteban was wonderful I had a hot water tank installed by another company which was a mistake
I didn't have hot water they told me it might be a dip tube and they don't fix that
I called Motor city they came out the next day and all he did was turn 1 knob that the other company left off and BOOM I had hot water!!
Fast Friendly Service I give them 10 stars!!

This review is long overdue! Tim & Duncan, not to be confused with the former superstar power forward from the San Antonio Spurs, are superstars in their own right.
I had a backed up drain in my basement, they came out on time and were polite, and at the same time, funny as hell. They did some reconnaissance with a cam and assessed the problem. They explained everything thoroughly and gave me some options. They educated me, did a great job (clean up was perfect), gave me a great price, and made me laugh: win/win.

My basement was doing a slow flood, that seemingly was coming up from the middle of the floor. So I'm thinking this is going to be an enormous job and very expensive, like digging up the floor!
Van and Noah got to my home just under 30 mins. of my call, accesed the issue and advised that snaking the lines should clear the issue. They gave me pricing before starting any work and and at $199 it was well worth it.
These guys were very knowledgeable, clean and efficient they answered all of my questions and exceeded all my expectations.

Needed some repairs and they were super friendly and responsive. I was a little shocked at the prices.so I will have to save up money to have some of the other non emergency repairs done. But overall good experience and happy with work performed. Everything is now up to code in preparation for the new washer and dryer.

I needed a new water heater, and found the one that I wanted at Home Depot. Home Depot wanted a lot of money to install it, so I called Motor City Plumbing. Mike said he could install it and gave me a rough estimate. They came out and installed it without any problem. There were two guys and they were so nice, clean, and efficient. They were done in no time, and walked me through the features of the tank and how to maintain it. It ended up being a lot less than what Home Depot would have charged and the service was fantastic. It was not the first time that I used Motor City Plumbing, and it sure won't be the last.

Had Motor City out for quite literally a crappy fix!! Called Mike last Saturday, due to our basement backing up for, thankfully to MC, the last time! We found out that our entire piping from start to finish had to be redone. Called them Monday to proceed with the estimate and wow am I happy I did! Such a great experience from beginning to end! Tim and his crew were professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and very hard working! It took two days to tear the basement apart and also the front yard to replace all of the necessary piping! This included running into patch jobs and over cemented areas - that they breezed through with ease! The clean up job was superb, awesome, & almost looks like they were barely there! They even cleaned our tub, haha! This team/company goes above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied and to make sure the job is done perfectly and correct! The city of Roseville inspector signed off on the job which made me even more pleased! Obviously that's a need be, but even as a homeowner, I did not know - honestly, that it had to be done! It's nice to use the toilet, shower, sink, etc. without wondering when it's going to back up next! I know this job was not easy, but shout-outs to them for getting it DONE! Wade and I appreciate you so much more than you'll ever know for hooking us up with some new piping, that doesn't just benefit us, but is a long term investment into our home! I highly highly highly recommend Motor City Plumbing and Tim and his crew! Thank you guys again for the amazing job you did! You will be our first call (for things other than piping of course) and first recommendation from here on out!
