**Don't Call You Will Regret It**
There was nothing wrong with my AC but wanted Preventative Maintenance done before the summer, $89 special. He basically did nothing and went on to tell me my until was old and needed to be replaced at a cost of $20,000. I will never be calling them again.

TL;DR: These guys are scam artists and salesmen, not repairmen.

The family HVAC business we used for years was bought by Monkey Wrench. When Monkey Wrench took over our account, they came out and said that pretty much everything about our HVAC, water softener, and water heater systems needed to be replaced. They scared my pregnant wife and told her our A/C would stop working in two to three months. The quoted repairs were tens of thousands of dollars.

We called two other HVAC companies to come and check out our system. Both checked out our HVAC, and both said the systems looked fine to them.

They explained that Monkey Wrench's technicians are all salesmen. They all get a commission off of the work you agree to, so they are all incentivized to tell you that everything about your house is broken. You cannot trust them to give you an honest assessment of your house.

I hired Monkey Wrench for an $11,000 job that I think they did well, but when I subsequently asked them to come by for a ""small"" job they dragged their heels. I guess I wasn't a good enough customer? I ended up calling another plumber who showed up at my place same day and took care of it.

They're sure trying hard to get me back, though. I get phone calls, texts, emails, snail mail. They Will. Not. Stop. Even though I've asked them to beat it multiple times. Maybe I need to get a restraining order.

I unfortunately had a very poor experience with Monkey Wrench. Their technician, Luis Munoz, was friendly but not honest. My Noritz tankless was not staying on. He quoted me a high price to replace gas lines because ""they very not supplying the correct pressure"", even though the pressure he measured was more than required by the manufacturer. He and the company via email refused to put the measurements they made in writing and instead suggested new gas lines at a significant cost. Luis also mentioned a new replacement heater would work but that the price would be even higher, $5,000. He did not put that in writing, either. The unit installed from Home Depot is $700. Disappointing to say the least.

The service technician Mr. Munoz, was incredibly kind, professional and extremely knowledgeable. His patience and expertise help identify our issue with our tankless water heater and before we knew it, it was fixed and we had hot water once again. I can't recommend Monkey Wrench and Mr. Munoz enough. We had reached out to so many companies. They responded to our nighttime call immediately and the next morning they were out with a fully loaded truck for repairs. They're pricing extremely competitive! I will use no one else ever! what an amazing and professional experience! gas company had to shut off the gas and I quickly called Monkey Wrench plumbing to come to the rescue! Mike and Mason came super fast and diagnosed the problem. They made sure to wear booties on their shoes to not cause a mess each and every time they went in and out. They made sure to tell me what was needed so as to not get any surprises. I highly recommend Monkey Wrench for all your plumbing and heating needs!
