So - Never in my life did I think I would give a plumber a 5 star review. In fact, I've had only terrible experiences in the past. All those commercials about $99 drain clog repair are complete BS. Plumber comes to your house, claims its something major and tries to sell you hundreds of dollars in crap.

Any, I called monkey wrench because I had just that, a clogged drain (two actually). Nothing crazy. One bathroom had a childs toy stuck in the tub. The other shower was new and had a plastic covering on the pipe that was never removed.

Most plumbers would have made a big deal out of it and pretended it was a major issue that needed repairs. The Monkey Wrench plumber didn't even charge me for the shower. It took him literally 30 seconds to fi. The tub took about 15 minutes and he was out the door for a VERY reasonable price.

Will only use them from now on.

I used Monkey Wrench 3 times for the same issue, all within about a month. Each time the plumber walked away confident that he had fixed my shower, which was dripping and not maintaining water pressure. And each time, within a day or two of his leaving, the issue came back.

After the last time I decided it wasn't worth having them return to try again, so I called another plumbing service. They came by today and said that the Monkey Wrench plumber didn't fix the cause of the drip and didn't complete his work.

I won't know if the new plumber solved my issue for a few more days, but I can confidently say Monkey Wrench never did. I won't be using them again.

I had called regarding a malfunctioning tankless heater. The manufacturer reco'd a handful of authorized techs and this was one of them. Of the handful I called, Monkey Wrench actually had someone pick up, so kudos for them on that. Based on that, I proceeded with scheduling same day service. The woman on the line was very courteous and gave me a reasonable time window.

About 2 hours later, that time window changed into a later time. While disappointing, I understand these things happen. In the interim, the other plumbers called back but I held off since I had a Monkey tech on the way.

The tech arrived within the revised time window, and he was friendly guy. Courteous and was able to diagnose it right away. Actually, I had a feeling of what the problem was, and I was right. He replaced the part and within a few minutes, the heater was closed up and hot water was flowing.

Upon presentation of the bill, I was a bit taken by the cost, but paid anyway. After the fact I did some research and found the part that was replaced, and it's not much. I then followed up with some other plumbers and got quotes that were notably less than what I had paid.

Overall, good, friendly service, though in comparison I felt the price was a bit steep. I had to lower the score a bit for the high price and rescheduled service, but otherwise Monkey Wrench are good in my book- I would just get a few quotes if it's not an urgent job.

The water heater in my house was about 12 years old when it rusted out on a Friday afternoon. I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day, and even made changes in the order of the new tank up til that night (when I realized I needed a different sized tank). The person who installed the new water heater, Wilder, arrived on time and was very nice to both me and my daughter, who was curious about the process of putting in a new water heater. The price was what was quoted, the work was done on time, Wilder was very nice and the new water heater is working very well. Wilder did a great job. I would use them again - and would request him by name.

Last week on Friday morning, because of the rains, we needed a sump pump to be replaced as soon as possible or the rising water would have damaged our storage items. Our home waranty company assigned a company that couldn't have cared less about re-prioritizing their service calls and coming to our home before Monday afternoon - even though it was clearly going to rain several more inches over the weekend.
Monkey Wrench Plumbing was at the house within an hour! And although they had to go get the part, they replaced very quickly. We were extremely pleased with this company, and recommend them highly.

I scheduled an appointment to have my water heater looked at and they gave me a time window. They plumber showed up an hour later than the window and no one called, I had to call them. However, even if they did call--it was like a 3 hour window so there really isn't a reason to be late.

They said they could replace the water heater but also wanted to do a ton of other work that seemed unnecessary I told them I only wanted the water heater changed to keep the cost down. They did not give me a price on the spot so I waited for an email quote that came in the next day. It was definitely more expensive than I was expecting (well over $1000) to change the water heater and a couple of connections. I went with someone else.

Had a problem with my hot water and contacted a different plumbing company, they came down and spent most of the day trying to fix it to no avail. Wasted my time, money and still no hot water.
I called monkey wrench and they sent one of there hot water technicians the next day. He determined the problem and provided a solution in under 25 minutes. Good responsible company, very respectful employee's and highly recommended.
