In 1973, a friend named Rick guided me toward the value of healthy nutrition, which included recognizing the vital role of water in our lives. As an outdoor enthusiast, I have always felt a connection to nature through activities like surfing, skiing, hiking, and biking; nutrition and hydration are paramount.

In 1998, I discovered The Wellness Filter; prior to that, I thought all filters were pretty much alike. The claims made by Wellness about their filter seemed almost unbelievable, and I was eager to learn how and why it performed so effectively. For the last 14 years, I have focused on researching water, filtration, media, conditioning, hydration, chemistry, and the critical role water plays on our planet and the life it supports.
