In 1973, a friend named Rick guided me toward the value of healthy nutrition, which included recognizing the vital role of water in our lives. As someone who loves the outdoors, I have always embraced nature through surfing, skiing, hiking, and biking; proper nutrition and hydration are essential.

In 1998, I came across The Wellness Filter; before that, I assumed all filters functioned similarly. The descriptions provided by Wellness regarding their filter sounded too good to be true, and I wanted to understand how and why it worked so well. In the past 14 years, I have committed myself to exploring water, filtration, media, conditioning, hydration, chemistry, and the vital importance of water for our planet and the life it sustains.
