Milltown set an appointment for me for Wed... called late that day to reschedule.....

The rescheduled appointment day comes up. I've emptied out all my cabinets, which was a lot of work considering my physical disability... only to have them call around 3:30PM to reschedule AGAIN!!!

Received nothing but empty platitudes from their staff. I will not be doing business with Milltown ever again

I have been a customer of Miltown for about 10 years, but I guess the buck stops here. I recently started a large project in my home when I discovered a leaky sewage pipe. Through every step of the process, Milltown was completely unhelpful in the administrative sense, dragging their feet and making it difficult or impossible to get their attention. They were unhelpful in making appointments, stood me up and didn't call when they said they would. This continued even when I told them how annoyed I was that they were ignoring me. Their slogan says, ""We make pipe dreams a reality!"" and they claim to strive for good customer service. Well, maybe they singled me out for their bad behavior and are making other peoples' pipe dreams a reality, but I'll be seeking a plumbing company who *doesn't* ignore me. All this begs the question of why they are doing this. Do they want to hurt their business and potentially lose money?

I contracted Milltown to install a new heating and cooling system in my home, what a mistake. 3 days before the scheduled install Milltown contacted me to ""let me know"" that they would be installing York equipment rather than Trane equipment I had contracted for. I was told York was of equal quality and price, which is not the case at all. When I refused the York and suggested we cancel the install suddenly they had Carrier equipment available which I agreed to, another mistake. The install was the worst, the quality of the workmanship was substandard, ductwork poorly done, held together with tape, air intake not Carrier equipment as promised and not fitting properly, also held together with tape, air conditioner unit teetering on the edge of the platform and a strong aroma from the furnace when running. Milltown has made nothing but empty promises to correct the substandard installation. If you are looking for a professional HVAC company that values quality Milltown is NOT for you, save yourself a lot of frustration and go elsewhere.

moved into new house mid august - set an appointment with these guys a month in advance for the day after closing because I desperately needed gas hookup - old oil burner probably wouldn't make winter - and National Grid could not guarantee 2020 hook up unless plumber signed off on their application right away. These guys just never showed and never called. They explained ""we dont do gas hookups so we didn't come"" and after 3 phone calls back and forth w/ national grid I convinced their office person that they actually do gas hookups - the necessary indoor work, but they do. Wanted to reschedule a week later. The local plumber I got sooner couldn't understand what their problem was, this was a basic request. Now I'm at the end of the National Grid line at the end of August and they're saying probably March, fingers crossed the oil burner will make it through the winter, these guys screwed me good.

Needed a very small job done - replacing a 4 foot piece of pipe to the outside faucet. They didn't show for the first two appointments and then quoted $500 for a job that takes an hour. I asked what they charge for parts - a 4 foot length of pipe - and he couldn't tell me because they charge by the project! (Should be about $30). While he was here the office called to say that as he was already here they'd offer us a special discount to $375. I told them to pound sand. Obviously the first quote is the mug's price but even their special discount rate was outrageously high. Cost $85 call-out fee for them to tell us a $150 job would cost $500!!! Never again.

We received our check back I the mail from the company. We appreciate that we were not charged for such a bad experience.

We were told that we were on a waiting list with no indication how long it would take for a technician to come out. After 5 days, a technician came. He looked up the age of the system. Without even touching the equipment to diagnose the problem, he said that he recommended replacing the unit. As it turns out the problem might be HVAC-related or might be electrical. We don't know yet. However, we were put off with the flip suggestion to replace the system without running a single diagnostic or even touching the system. Not everyone is willing to sign a $10k check based on a 30 second visual of a system that is at least running.

Met with salesman, got a quote to do ac/furn/hw heater thru MASS SAVES. All went well he pitched it just right. We decided to go with Milltown over 3 other very close in $$$ quotes. (MID JUNE). Spent aprox. 2 weeks with MASS SAVE LOAN APROVAL. Finally met with salesman again signed contract($5000 DEPOSIT) to have install July 16th. NO SHOW....Gives us reason that foreman called in sick and if CODE OFFICER SHOWS ON SITE COULD BE TROUBLE WITH NO FOREMAN.Tells us wont be there next day needs to try and schedule again. Saturday after failing to call us like he stated, we contact him...best can do is JULY 30TH 2 MORE WEEKS...After voicing our anger and disbelief that for some reason not our one, being put out again. We contemplate voiding contract and getting deposit back. Now he says will discuss with project co-ordinator and try get sooner. Calls us back says how about wed or thurs, 1 week later. We decide Thurs. 7/23. Guess what...comes to do door to tell my wife SORRY...It wont be today...
He can call office and get a cashier check cut for our deposit back...So now we our back to the 30th...Unfortuneatly going with MASS SAVE PROCESS IT WOULD BE MORE TIME TO WAIT FOR APPROVAL AGAIN FOR ANOTHER CONTRACTOR...
THIS COMPANY SUCKS AND IF WE WERE NOT IN A JAM...TO HELL WITH THEM...Talk about being held hostage....Hey MR MILLTOWN OWNER, DO YOU KNOW THIS GOES ON IN YOUR BUSINESS?

The experience was horrible and I would not recommend this company. I had issues with my heating system and they could not diagnose the problem. The first instance they came out they asked me to change a part that costed a $1100. Immediately within a month the problems reappeared which confirmed the diagnosis was not accurate. The came back and suggested that the issue might be the thermostat and changed the thermostat. The issues continued and I asked them since the issue was not the thermostat, can you help to put the old thermostat back. They suggested since this will be a new installation this will cost another $85. The service was unprofessional and the customer is charged unethically to gain financial advantage.
