Quoted me overtime rates for a weekend job (fine) and said they'd show up in a 2 hour window. Never showed up. Called at the 2 hour mark to say they'd still be another hour. Cancelled at that point as I had been waiting around and had other things to attend to. Do not recommend.

We had one plumber come for a leak in our bathroom. He didn't find it. We had someone else out a week later (because I found the leak) and this technician was Jared. He was knowledgeable, efficient, and I would definitely have him come back if we ever have another problem.

A month ago, one of their tech's came out for my yearly central AC maintenance check. I was experiencing no problems at all with my AC and the gentleman told me that my AC compressor was completely empty and needed to be replaced to the tune of just under 6K. I was not comfortable with that at all so I called another company for a second opinion. They came out and let me know that my compressor was full and had absolutely nothing wrong with it. The manager at Milltown let me know that he stood by his technician so I asked them to send someone else out to check it again. The second Milltown technician was extremely nice and told me that there was in fact nothing wrong with my AC and that the other tech was using a broken gauge. If I had not gotten a second opinion I would be out thousands of dollars. The manager apologized and said he would refund me the amount I paid for the second opinion and never called me back or sent a refund. Extremely disappointing customer service. I have had good experiences with them in the past but because of this I would not use them again.

As part of a second floor renovation, I needed some new baseboard heaters installed in two bedrooms, a pipe connecting them relocated/replaced, and some leaky valves replaced on my boiler. Milltown was one of the only plumbing companies that actually returned my calls, and they were able to come out right away, which was great because it was almost October and was starting to get cold. They did an excellent job with all of the work, and I think the price was reasonable for what they did. They were punctual, clean, and professional. No complaints.

Brian at Milltown has been great to deal with several times in the past so called this morning when no heat or hot water. Ben P. arrived in less than an hour as promised and proved the consummate professional. He was able to trouble shoot and diagnose the problem and had it fixed in no time. He also helped me better understand/work the heating system to avoid future issues. Thanks again for a great job making Milltown easy to highly recommend to others.

I had an issue with my AC in my home. I am a first time customer and was extremely pleased with my experience from Milltown from my first phone call to the job completion. Customer service at the office was great and the technician was knowledgable and efficient. He even gave me some other general tips on how to keep my AC running at its best! Very happy with Milltown and will defiantly use them again!

We have had three services by Milltown Plumbing. One was a new water heater, a furnace cleaning, and an installation of new faucet/garbage disposal.

In the case of the hot water heater, we called in the morning, and the new water heater was installed that evening. The gentleman that installed it was great, very polite and professional and stayed late to get the job done.

We were also very happy with the faucet/garbage disposal installation. Work started on time, great job done, and for a fair price.

I highly recommend Milltown Plumbing.

The service was terrible. When I talked with them to schedule the appointment they said that the new stove needed to be there so that they could hook it up to the gas line. I had the new gas stove delivered on Sunday before my Tuesday appointment and the electric stove was disposed of. Figured 2 days of eating out was no big deal. They called at 5 minutes to 5:00PM the day before the Tuesday appointment to say they wouldn't be able to come out until Friday! They created an emergency and gave some BS about only having 1 guy licensed in NH. Had to find another plumber last minute to come out the next day. Use anyone else, even Heritage!

This is in response to Milltown Plumbing's comment on my review:

The court decided in favor of Milltown Plumbing? What? Wow. I guess they thought that I wouldn't see their post. For the folks at MP, lying doesn't seem to be a conscious decision - it's a lifestyle. They didn't win anything. In fact, the judge ordered them to pay the court costs (which they did). I have the court documents to prove it. The loser of the case pays the court costs. This is a public document and can be gotten by anybody.

Here's what happened. See my previous post to understand the manner in which MP stole from me. After some back and forth, they agreed to return the money that they stole. After eight weeks, I had not received the refunded money that was promised. Eight weeks is more than enough time to send a check a few miles down the road. How would MP react if I told them that I'll pay them eight weeks after a job?

I received the check after I filed a claim in small claims court. I was not happy that they had strung me along for 2 months and that they only sent the check under threat of legal action (I stated that I was bringing them to court at the end of the review). The reason that I didn't cancel the court date was that I wanted MP to pay punitive damages so that they'd think twice about doing this to someone else. I was suing for triple damages - I was going to give the extra money to a charity of Milltown Plumbing's choice.

I brought the unopened check to the court case. I opened it in front of the judge. Can you guess what I found? A check with a date seven weeks prior to the postmark on the envelope. They used oldest trick in the shyster's handbook - they had predated the check by seven weeks. The judge asked the MP owner why it had taken so long. He said he didn't know what went on in the office.

OK, for those of you keeping score at home: the MP owner doesn't know what goes on in the office and he doesn't know what goes on in the field (i.e., his employees running kickback schemes). These facts make me more qualified to run the company than him, because unlike the MP owner, I actually know some of what goes on in the office and the field of his company.

The judge was sympathetic to me but I wasn't awarded triple damages because of a technicality. If MP and I had agreed on a date by which I would receive the refund check and I didn't get it by that date, I would have been awarded triple damages. I cashed the refund check quickly and was surprised that it didn't bounce.

I have never brought anyone to court before. But, I thought that MP should receive some deterrent from doing this to someone else. Their business model seems to be: Steal as much as you can and if you get caught, give back the money that you stole and admit no guilt. Until they are made to pay punitive damages and not just return money that they stole, there is no reason for them to change. It's low risk and it seems to be working for them.

P.S. Two months after they cleared my main sewer line, it clogged again. If I called them, I would have had to pay full price again. I rented an auger myself and did the job. Six months later, it clogged again. I had someone unclog it and run a camera down (which is what I wanted MP to do, but they told me that only one truck has a camera and it's somewhere else). I discovered tree roots in every seam along the clay piping. I found the culprit tree and cut it down.

Milltown is a good plumbing company. They make sure you get a good service. They cleaned our main drain. After one guy was finished another one checked with the camera because the first one forgot. He saw something he wasn't happy with, so he came back the next day to do it all over again, no charge. Just to make sure the job was done properly. This was the fourth time I hired them. Every time they do a very good job.
