Called around on Saturday morning and everyone gave me super high pricing since it was a Holiday weekend and they weren't going to come out till Wed or Thursday of the following week to pump my septic. The MSP team set everything up everything for the following day. Brady came over first thing Sunday morning and knocked it out in no time.
Lindy H.Thought I had a water heater problem. They sent someone out, and he was NOT pleasant. He never gave me his name, he grunted at me... he told me it was a water leak in a pipe and the water heater was fine and then just handed me a bill - a LARGE one for 15 minutes of work. I asked what I needed to do and he said to call someone for leak detection. I asked if he had recommendations and he said no. Look it up on the internet. He and (what I can only assume was his girlfriend - as she only got out of the van to tell him to hurry up) got in the van and left. I wouldn't recommend them. I'm not a prude, but don't send me a plumber who is that impersonal and has a bazillion tattoos everywhere. Very unprofessional demeanor. I know plumbing isn't glamourous, but perhaps a shirt without a bunch of holes in it, and maybe some identification would be nice. I was able to find a leak detection company on my own. Guess who DID NOT call Mike Scott Plumbing to fix the problem. Called Don's Plumbing... and they were awesome!!!!!!
had Mike Scott plumbing clean bathroom drain and trap in March. clogged up again in just 12 weeks ? tech didn't do a very good job. I called them to return and do the job right. (for no charge). they said they do not guaruntee their work and will charge me again??? never use a company that doesn't back their product.
This is an update to a previous review. I reached out a spoke to a supervisor after discovering the contractor never pulled a permit before they replaced my mother's water heater. The sole purpose of hiring a professional, licensed, Plumbing Contractor was for the permit. Most insurance companies require you have a water heater that meets certain age requirements like a roof. Anyway, the supervisor said it they charge $300 to pull a permit (it costs a contractor $50) which I told him where he can stick it. What pisses me off the most is they never even brought it up during the quote or installation process. I find this out after the fact. This company has some really shady business practices and they should be avoided at all costs, especially the elderly community. They will rip you off and smile while they cash your check.
Don C.It was an emergency as my septic system caved in . I called them and they came out within 2 hours to inspect and and pump out will do follow up and get me a quote on repairs. The follow up was very poor and the phone call back to them was very negative. Would not recommend to anyone
Tim O.Called these guys because they advertise they handle everything that water runs through it. We had a toilet that was bubling and we called to have them pump our septic tank as well as check the drains. The came and pumped the tank and told us that was probably the problem but the plumber would come out in the afternoon to check the clean outs on the drain system. Two kids came out the could not have been older than 20 -22. They left without checking the drains because they thought the problem was resolved. The next day our house was flooded with septic water! They came back out with a seasoned plumber and he found the blockage in 10 minutes. Problem is we have a six figure insurance claim and Mike Scott has been uncooperative. They denied we called to get assistance with a blockage. We were told they record all calls however they refused to play the cLl back for us. They also would not provide a legible receipt for the work performed as it was a carbon copy and I could not submit to the insurance company for our claim. The owner got very nasty and wS very uncooperative. Total ahole!
I had a scheduled appointment for 9 AM. At 10.30 ( with still no word from them) I left the house with my wife. At 11:04, I received a phone call from their tech saying he was 40 minutes away. When I told him the appointment was at 9, he replied """"well, I'll be there in 40 minutes"""". I told him not to bother. If he had called around 9 to let me know he was running late, they would of kept my business. but his lack of courtesy, can not be ignored. This is the first and last time I will use Mike Scott Plumbing.
Professional and friendly. Would def recommend to anyone. Don't hesitate to do business with them if you're in need of plumbing work
Was supposed to come out and pump my septic tank. Never showed up as they said. I called and they said they had no record of me calling or my appointment. Bad business practice. Ill spend the extra money and get another company who will show up when they said they would.
