Professional and friendly. Would def recommend to anyone. Don't hesitate to do business with them if you're in need of plumbing work

My dad purchased a drain field from Mike Scott Plumbing. It was installed on 9-29-2015. About two and a half years later, my father contacted the company ( Mike Scott Plumbing) to let them know something didn't seem right and to ask if they would come out and look at his septic/drain field. Mike Scott Plumbing told him he was past his warranty and there was nothing they could do. On Jan 6th 2020 the whole house flooded to which an insurance claim had to be submitted. After the claim the homeowners insurance cancelled his policy. We had the septic tank pumped and thought it was ok. (Because the drain field is still new.. just less than 5years old) Since that flooding, the septic has to be pumped every 2-2 1/2 months to keep it from backing up into the house. The company we have pumping out the septic informed us that our drain field """"failed"""". That it was no good. There is mud all through the pipes/tubes. On Aug. 24 2020, I contacted Mike Scott Plumbing to see if they could have one of their people come out and take a look at it. They sent Pat a manager out to the house the same day. Pat stated that indeed the drain field that they installed on 9-29-2015 had failed. Pat said he needed to speak to his boss (owner) and would get back to me on what they could do to help make this right. Pat did not call me back. I called him twice after he came to the house. When I called the office on Monday August 31st, Pat informed me that we are past the warranty and there is nothing they are willing to do for us. I asked Pat ( the manager) how long a typical drain field would last, to which he stated, """"15 years"""". Our Drain field will be in the ground 5 years the end of next month. We have had trouble starting about 2 1/2 years in. I have been told (now) that Mike Scott uses a system that does not require rock under it and this is the cause of the failure. Mike Scott continues using this system because they knowingly offer a warranty that will expire before the system will fail. I would not recommend this company.

It was an emergency as my septic system caved in . I called them and they came out within 2 hours to inspect and and pump out will do follow up and get me a quote on repairs. The follow up was very poor and the phone call back to them was very negative. Would not recommend to anyone

Im giving this service one star not because the tech didn't do the job but because of the nasty attitude the supervisor had when I spoke to him! I had a question related to the service and called their office three times requesting to speak to a supervisor. Never got a call back until I sent an email and in the email stated I was going to post my concerns on social media. This company installed the toilet in my two year home and since I moved in the original seal has been replaced two times because the toilet leaks when you flush it. I wanted to find out if this is a normal ocurrance for these seals to fail and if there was a way to permanetly correct it. The person or supervisor who called me back (K____) started the conversation with a nasty argumentative tone, barely letting me speak or explain myself. He ranted on and on about all the emergencies they had to deal with and he's the only supervisor! He even stated it was our fault the toilet leaked because I had a bidet installed on my toilet. I have used this system for many years and never had this happen. The leak was only happening when the toilet was flushed! I found his aggresive attitude and nasty remarks unacceptable and will never use this company again!

We had a new hot water heater installed by Mike Scott Plumbing. Angel and Edwardo arrived on time and went far above and beyond what we expected. The price was very reasonable. We couldn't be happier with Mike Scott Plumbing.

had Mike Scott plumbing clean bathroom drain and trap in March. clogged up again in just 12 weeks ? tech didn't do a very good job. I called them to return and do the job right. (for no charge). they said they do not guaruntee their work and will charge me again??? never use a company that doesn't back their product.

Had Mike Scott """"plumbing"""" install new drain field 17 months ago. Backed up 2 days ago and they pumped it, at full charge because the warranty was only 1 year. Backed up again. I called, and was told they would speak with a supervisor and call me back. They called back an told me I need to call a plumber(?). Not sure why this says San Fran. Should be Ocala, FL.

Called these guys because they advertise they handle everything that water runs through it. We had a toilet that was bubling and we called to have them pump our septic tank as well as check the drains. The came and pumped the tank and told us that was probably the problem but the plumber would come out in the afternoon to check the clean outs on the drain system. Two kids came out the could not have been older than 20 -22. They left without checking the drains because they thought the problem was resolved. The next day our house was flooded with septic water! They came back out with a seasoned plumber and he found the blockage in 10 minutes. Problem is we have a six figure insurance claim and Mike Scott has been uncooperative. They denied we called to get assistance with a blockage. We were told they record all calls however they refused to play the cLl back for us. They also would not provide a legible receipt for the work performed as it was a carbon copy and I could not submit to the insurance company for our claim. The owner got very nasty and wS very uncooperative. Total ahole!

Thought I had a water heater problem. They sent someone out, and he was NOT pleasant. He never gave me his name, he grunted at me... he told me it was a water leak in a pipe and the water heater was fine and then just handed me a bill - a LARGE one for 15 minutes of work. I asked what I needed to do and he said to call someone for leak detection. I asked if he had recommendations and he said no. Look it up on the internet. He and (what I can only assume was his girlfriend - as she only got out of the van to tell him to hurry up) got in the van and left. I wouldn't recommend them. I'm not a prude, but don't send me a plumber who is that impersonal and has a bazillion tattoos everywhere. Very unprofessional demeanor. I know plumbing isn't glamourous, but perhaps a shirt without a bunch of holes in it, and maybe some identification would be nice. I was able to find a leak detection company on my own. Guess who DID NOT call Mike Scott Plumbing to fix the problem. Called Don's Plumbing... and they were awesome!!!!!!

When our kitchen faucet sprung a leak, we called Mike Scott. We had used them a couple of years ago and had a similar issue when my wife asked the technician to wash his hands before he started working in the kitchen and he refused. Because the repairs were in the kitchen (where food is prepared) we asked about the protocol the technicians used with their tools. Did they use tools on toilet repairs and also used them in the kitchen. I asked if someone could call me back with an answer to my question as this was important for us. The service manager, or someone in authority, called my wife and said that they do not use separate tools for any jobs and if this was what we wanted, they were cancelling the appointment and did not want our business. At this point I would recommend anyone but Mike Scott Plumbing.
