Mike Scott plumbing did some work to my hot water heater. They never called to schedule me after I was referred to them by Duke Energy. I have to call them 11 days later. They came out and did some repairs but missed the water leak. When I called back the next they - they were rude and gave me a hard time. I'm a pretty reasonable person with appropriate expectations from people who do work for me. Wasnt good. Try someone else first.

What should have been a simple fix turned into a 6 week joke. Not very good at all, I will stick to Meeks Plumbing for all of our needs in future.

Called SEVERAL local plumbing business's on a Saturday for what we thought was a collapsing septic issue. Within 45 minutes of initial call, Jose came to our Ocala home and found it was JUST a bad clog. He had it sorted and done with within an hour. Normally, I try to support local business and not call a MLM company. But, I have STILL yet to hear from the local guys, even the one's that I left messages with their emergency lines. It's now 5pm and taken care of when I called at 3pm! Jose was also VERY informative, and encouraged my 'shadowing' tendency and many questions. He also advised on how to continue to properly maintain my pipes AND septic. I will admit though, the gentleman over the phone told me the price would range between $65-$80 for the call and to do a clog, but it ended up being $160 for him to climb on roof and snake the drain. That price was...a bit higher than anticipated....but, I am just glad it's not my septic and it was JUST a clog. Thanks Jose! Marco Polo Village II Ocala, FL - Marion County (Not sure why it says I am from San Fran, CA.........)

I hired Mike Scott Plumbing to fix my water heater recently. They came out twice & thought they'd resolved the issue. Unfortunately, they hadn't but did give me a full refund. I appreciated their professionalism.

I will never use again. 2 young men came out after back up in toilets and showers one came in after running a snake around 4 feet in to say nothing was wrong. The flushed my toilet said all good charging 154.00 for doing nothing. Called company back because we still have issues was told it was good when they left something must have clogged 2 days later so would be full charge. Horrible company to do business BEWARE

Ocala service providers are just a joke. Calls, emails go inanswered. Must be independently wealthy.

I have two experiences with this company and their techs are unprofessional and rude. They came recommended by my contractor who was working on my bathroom. The first time they were repairing a valve on our toilet, and while they accomplished that and I was pleased with the work, the technician was rude and sullen. I put it down to a bad day. It wasn't bad enough that I wasn't willing to work with them again. This time however, enough is enough. Our bathroom is being worked on by the same contractor who again recommended this company. He was working in our bathroom when the tech came by to give us a quote on various things to be fixed. We needed a hot and cold fixture to be piped so that it could fit into a new fixture with only one knob for both instead of two, the top of the shower valve extended upward because my husband is tall and he had to bend over while using it, and a toilet installed. Pretty simple, at least to me. I just wanted to know how much it would cost. No work was being done this day. The tech called before coming. I wasn't at home, just my contractor, who spoke with him. The contractor noted the attitude himself. The tech took a look around and said he didn't have time for this and left. When I called to find out what happened, I was told he'd noted that there were a breathing hazard because of pets. I do have pets, but they are corralled in a room away from the construction, and the contractor was working there since early morning without any problems. I told them this. They said they would investigate. They called back and said they wouldn't be doing any other work for us without giving any explanation. I said that is fine, as I would not be having them do anything else with their unprofessional attitude. One of the things the management stated was that things are backed up right now and there are emergencies. I am the first person to acknowledge that there are emergencies and things happen. However, the tech called me to confirm that he was arriving. Nothing was stated that he had somewhere else to go to. That I would understand. Instead he didn't want to do the job and came up with something that would absolve him of responsibility. My contractor is upset and will no longer be recommending this company to his clients, and I'm calling someone else.

Pricing issues. Most service providers charge a fee for a house call. The fee is then applied against the first hour of labor. Not so with Mike Scott Plumbing. They charge a service fee plus an hourly rate which starts at immediately, so for example for one hours work you pay a service fee of $90 plus an hour at $90.

Had a Pump problem they looked at it ,15 minutes later gave me a bill for over $100 and said they don't do pumps ,if water runs through it they don't do it ,it's very sad, everywhere you look people just like screwing other people here in Florida

I called a few hours ago and my problem is already solved. Not only was the lady who answered the phone very polite and on the ball, They sent someone out very fast. The man that fixed the issue was very professional! I have used this company before and if I have issues with my plumbing I will be using this company again!
