Back in 1987, Mike Scott, a veteran of the Marine Corps, started Mike Scott Plumbing in Citrus County. Starting with little and an insatiable drive, Mike set out to grow his company on a foundation of values that set him apart from other plumbers in the area; honesty, integrity, ethics, and excellence in service. With the support of his wife Pat and their three children, Tracy, Shawn, and Jason, he set a vision for what would become one of the largest and most respected plumbing companies in the southern region. As the years passed, the company’s reputation and the Scott family expanded. Before long, Mike, Pat, and all three children came together to keep pace with the rapidly growing business. United in their vision, delivering solutions to customers for all their water-related needs while actively contributing to their local community. Anchored in our core beliefs and with a focus on community involvement, Mike Scott Plumbing is dedicated to evolving.

Mike Scott plumbing gets zero writing from us zero in zero out in mid January of this year The builder that built our home Called this company for a plumbing problem upon arriving the supervisor who came told us our home was built on top of mud pile... Said it since we didn't call for them to come out and we had no idea of the problem with the dirt in the rain and there would be no bill. And He would have someone Snake out Plumbing That there be no charge ::;;;;;;;Also saying that the dirt so bad it will see him again,, sure enough two months later with the rain we had to call them again After Being lies to Sure enough 4 mos later Receive your original bill we had no idea it was answer Customer service is not lies and deceit That's what you have to look for dealing with this vendor No one wants that whenever he's in again ever I suggest you do the same

Called around 9:30 am on Monday morning. After the recent rain, my toilets were draining slowly, and my tub was making a gurgling noise while draining. By 1:30, their tech, Messiah, was on the job at my house. He quickly and efficiently found my septic tank lids, emptied the tanks, and cleaned the filter. In less than an hour he was done. Reasonable price too. Highly recommend.

What should have been a simple fix turned into a 6 week joke. Not very good at all, I will stick to Meeks Plumbing for all of our needs in future.

Ocala service providers are just a joke. Calls, emails go inanswered. Must be independently wealthy.

Awesome customer contact team (really smart and efficient) from the start of the call. Upon arrival, within an hour(!) the service personnel was top notch, and the price was unbeatable. I have recently worked with several contract companies for multiple services and this one should be the model service for everyone! AND all seemed to ENJOY their job! What more could you want?

We saw good reviews and called Mike Scott Plumbing due to our hot water heater not delivering hot water. The water was luke warm. It seemed warm for a moment and then it would go cool. The first time they came out, they said it was due to an electric power surge that threw off a master temperature switch. They tested with their hand to see if the water warmed in our kitchen and it was and told us it was fixed. Unfortunately, the next morning we had luke warm/cool showers again. We called back again and they came out and they did not charge us a service fee to return, just for parts. The repair guy they sent out seemed very bewildered. First, he said it might be our electric saver on our circuit box that might be turning off our water heater to save power. We might need to call our power company. (Huh?) Then he said our water heater was only putting off 120AMPS instead of 240. He had to call another technician to ask questions and realized he was reading the amps wrong. We explained the tank wasn't that old. Then he said it was our heating elements, and he changed those and replaced 1 thermostat - """"just in case"""". He tested the water from the sink and said it was fixed. Next morning, luke warm/cool showers again. We couldn't believe it! My fiancé and I are not mechanical handy people and we want to trust that the professionals we hire know what they are doing. Two different technicians came out, that's two techs who had no freaking clue. They were very nice guys but apparently oblivious. After spending $200+, we couldn't immediately afford to keep plugging away at it and we felt like calling Mike Scott Plumbing back was futile. I mean, they just didn't inspire much trust in their skill set. We wanted to know where the techs were that inspired all these supposed great reviews. We just weren't going to give them anymore of our hard earned money. We just decided to take luke warm/cool showers for a while, which sucked. In an unrelated issue, yesterday morning I noticed a slow steady constant drip from one of our showers despite the handle being off. Google said it was a valve inside. We decided to call Jim Brady Plumbing and while they were fixing the shower - we also asked him to look at the water heater. He looked over our water heater and he said - well one of your thermostats isn't set. We asked, """"One of them, isn't there only one? The previous repairman replaced it."""" We told him the whole story. There are TWO! Two freaking thermostats on our water heater so what good does it do to replace only one? If that was even the issue to begin with. I Googled our model (yeah, the number is on the tank guys) and confirmed in the manual - there are TWO! I mean if I can Google, can't your techs? Guess what? We have hot showers - wonder of wonder, miracle of freaking miracles! Someone actually knows what they're doing and it took one trip and 15 minutes. Now, we are left with questions as to whether we've wasted money replacing elements and thermostats and draining the tank of water when all along, it was a setting or maybe it was just one faulty $10 thermostat. I mean would Mike Scott's techs ever fixed our water heater or would they just have made us replace it. Thankfully, we didn't have to find out. If you provide a service, send people who know what they are doing. Know your craft. And sure, you can come out again and again but if you can't fix the problem then it's moot. And we work, we don't have the time to sit in our house for repeated visits. $200 is a lot of money for us and it's not cool to take advantage of people. This is the digital age folks, reviews go everywhere and I hate leaving negative ones, I'm not a mean person but truth is truth. You either deliver on the promise or get called a liar. I will never give you any more of our money nor will I recommend you to anyone, and I know A LOT of people.

We had them to come out to fix our toilet and I thought it was fixed and then it started leaking again. Called them and they said they didn't touch the specific part that was leaking, even though they did and wanted to charge me again and told me I was lying.

Called SEVERAL local plumbing business's on a Saturday for what we thought was a collapsing septic issue. Within 45 minutes of initial call, Jose came to our Ocala home and found it was JUST a bad clog. He had it sorted and done with within an hour. Normally, I try to support local business and not call a MLM company. But, I have STILL yet to hear from the local guys, even the one's that I left messages with their emergency lines. It's now 5pm and taken care of when I called at 3pm! Jose was also VERY informative, and encouraged my 'shadowing' tendency and many questions. He also advised on how to continue to properly maintain my pipes AND septic. I will admit though, the gentleman over the phone told me the price would range between $65-$80 for the call and to do a clog, but it ended up being $160 for him to climb on roof and snake the drain. That price was...a bit higher than anticipated....but, I am just glad it's not my septic and it was JUST a clog. Thanks Jose! Absolutely horrible customer service the lady employee Janice took our call and when we had an issue with an invoice that was promised to be waved being we would be using them to replace our drainage field. We wanted to speak to management or the employee that agreed to wave the invoice ,she refused to transfer the call unless be paid the invoice .To top it off she was extremely rude and did not care about the reputation of this company. This employee Janice did receive our payment and a forever lost customer along with a bad review for the company she works for.

They were rude from beginning to end. From the office to the plumber who came out to our house, looked under and said yep you got a leak, I can come back Wednesday and see if I can fix it then. Hello? we had already been without for over a week when they came out! Never ever again.
