Recommended Customer Reviews

Summary: Overcharged for service. Technician misled us. Technician was prepared to come back out and charge us an additional service fee for a problem he knew he couldn't fix. Mike Moore assured me saying """"I am certain we will come to a positive resolution"""" in his response to my initial feedback via email and has since ignored my FIVE emails in the last 30 days requesting an update. Buyer beware. Details: On Saturday, January 2, I contacted Mike Moore's Plumbing after our toilets had started backing up into our bathtub. On the morning of Sunday, January 3, we had a technician (he said his name was Mike, and the invoice says Lang) come to our home. While Mike was here, he said he cleaned out an obstruction. When he left, he left us with the impression that the repair would remedy our problem. We paid $325 for this service. After he left, we had the same backup happening again and coming out of our bathtub. I called back to the main line, and the person who answered said that Mike could come back out but was on a call. We waited about 5 hours (without water), and Mike texted me to let me know he was on his way. I asked if this was a problem he could fix if he came back, and he said """"No,"""" that we needed a septic pump truck. So... why was he going to come back out??? To charge us again to not be able to fix anything apparently. I told Mike not to come to avoid an additional charge. I called back to the main line, and the person who answered said that Mike had never told him we had a septic issue and that he'd reach out to Justin to come out the next day. Justin came the next morning with the truck and did a 1,000-gallon tank pump with an up-charge for root removal. We paid $500 for this service. In total, we paid $825. On Saturday, January 6, I contacted Mike Moore directly via email to express how I felt that we had been overcharged for the initial service that made no progress in our problem and that we'd narrowly avoided another service charge. He responded via email on January 7 that he appreciated me letting him know and would consult with his technicians. He assured me that we would come to a """"positive resolution"""" and his goal was to make sure that I felt we'd received a good value for the service provided. Then he would write me back to let me know the next steps. That was one month ago. I've emailed back FIVE times in that time and have gotten nothing but silence. So apparently their business structure is set up to overcharge people and then provide zero customer service. Buyer beware. I will be taking my business elsewhere moving forward and will not recommend this company to anyone.

I paid Mike Moore 11000 for plumbing install and septic repair. He was nothing but belligerent and hostile to me. His crew yelled at the inspectors signing off the permit. Mike yelled at me when I asked him to reconnect the water line (which I paid him to do!) He said he didn't have time to deal with that and gave me the middle finger. It was like talking with a troubled child. Unbelievably unprofessional and rude. Seriously something wrong with the whole crew. I mean who acts this way??

I had a terrible experience with this company!! We got an estimate from them to re-pipe our entire house, and we were under contract to have it done by a certain date in order to sell our house. They came out to do the work, and suddenly their price TRIPLED from the estimate they gave us before. They backed out and left us in the lurch and almost unable to sell our house! Thankfully, we got the good people of Atlanta Area Plumbing who came in and did an excellent job and re-piped our entire house in one day at almost half the price of Mike Moore's. I will never recommend Mike Moore's plumbing.

Used Mike's to fix (new) water heater at my parents. Fixed small related pipes which seemed to bin poor condition, seemed like they were looking out for us by doing that, its a very old house. Installation seems very nice and parents loved the technician - no complaints!

Called last night spoke to Mike. Explained what the situation was. Told me someone could be out today. Gave a good quote, Avg of what I have been quoted around town. Today Donnie called said his guy would be out in 10 mins. Sure enough he was. Everything going great! Guy comes in goes to bathroom spends 3 secs, asked me no questions and said it was going to be doubled the quoted amount. I explained I had been given 2 quotes from his company he said he don't know who would have quoted us because they have a book they have to go by. He said he would go make a call. After returning he said, """"best I can do is $$$"""" which was $75 cheaper than the price he told me. Feeling scammed I told him that's ok, I will find someone else.

They sent out Josh for a septic issue at our home. 1) on time 2) honest 3) did not even attempt to upsell us on any unnecessary items 4) price was very reasonable 5) would STRONGLY recommend you using them if you have septic needs.

BEWARE !! Everything they said was a Lie!! They damaged my plumbing and literally made up repairs . in the end, they were completely exposed by an honest Plumber. Frightening experience. This """"Company"""" has 7 open BBB complaints and has changed their address and phone number to create new Public profiles. 464 Windol Ct Marietta, GA 30066 878 Kurtz Rd, Marietta, GA 30066 13 Autumn Wood Dr SE Cartersville, GA 30120-7519 (770) 590-0511 (404) 410-6625 (678) 504-2291 (678) 279-4720 (404) 414-7156

Came home one evening in Jan 2017 to find my 6 year old water heater leaking into the garage. Googled for emergency plumber and their name came up. They answered the phone promptly and sent a plumber out in 2 1/2 hours but that's where the good part ended. The plumber made it obvious that he didn't want to be there. When he got to work on the water heater in the basement closet, I could hear him cursing about the job. He made a point of telling me how heavy the new water heater was and how heavy the old water heater was and that it would be difficult to get them up and down the hill to the truck. The next morning, when I came downstairs, I noticed an odor of natural gas. I went to the water heater in the basement closet and applied soapy water to all of the gas line connections. The gas line connection at the newly installed water heater bubbled like crazy indicating a leak. I had to get a wrench and tighten it myself until it stopped leaking. This is an extremely dangerous and unprofessional installation which could have resulted in a fire. Three weeks later, my water heater pressure relief valve began leaking. I called them back and the guy that answered the phone said he would call me back the next morning between 8 and 9. When 9:30 came with no call, I called them again. The guy that answered the phone had clearly been asleep and told me he would call me back in a few minutes. Still waiting for the call... Bottom line, a very unprofessional outfit and my experience has been right in line with that of the other two low-rating reviewers. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Do not go with these guys! The plumber was slow and tired. They will charge you by the hour for him to go as slow as he wants. He will be unable to tell you how long he took. You will get a bill with a block amount and no breakdown of the amount of hours. When you call to question it, the girl in the office is completely rude and will give you a huge speech on how happy everyone is with them. She will not listen to what you say and continue to give you a ranting speech. If you hang up before she feels she is done. She will continue to call you to restate her case. Their customer service approach seem to be, the customer is wrong. You'll be happy to went with someone else!

I was very satisfied with the customer service and work done. The receptionist had Donny call me to help me figure out what was wrong and sent Mark the same day. Mark was so nice and quick to find and resolve the problem. I definitely recommend them!
