Having a plumber as a neighbor shaped Mike Diamond's early years. At 14, he started tagging along on plumbing jobs, learning the trade. In the years that followed, he gained valuable insights and experience. In 1976, he took the leap into entrepreneurship and established his own business. With a contractor's license in hand, he collected tools and set out in his truck. At the age of 19, he started his business from his parents' garage.
Mike Diamond Plumbing leads in plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and electrical services by focusing on customer requirements.

stay away. initial visit for sewer - plumber reassured me he took all the roots out. suggested his field manager come in 2 days to put a camera down the pipe and give a video for free. no one called from the office to let me know what time he would be there. on the day of- i got a call he would be late. late? i was not informed of ANY time so how is he late? later than what? the office person was rude and terse. he was an hour late while the plumber was waiting for him here. showed up with an attitude, full with self importance and dramatically ""explained"" to me how dangerous the situation is. claimed he took out more roots (did not show me!) and that i need a very expensive process to resolve the problem. no mention of the free video! very aggressive ads on tv- very little to show for in reality.

I called for water heater services this morning at 9:30am, we were given an appointment time between 1-5pm today and that we would be called 1/2 hour before the service tech would be here. At 4:50pm the operator called and notified us that the tech may not be able to make his appointment because ""he is on a very tough job"". At 5pm the operator called again and said that the tech would not be coming to fix our water heater after all. I HAVE NO HOT WATER AND 3 CHILDREN. I am outraged and I feel that your company is insanely unprofessional.

I don't know how they stay in business. Anyone buying a house or selling a house that needs repairs done...DO NOT CALL THEM. They refuse to make repairs on homes in escrow.

Mike Diamond Plumbing came to our home to fix two slow drains (one in the master bath and one in the children's bath). Instead of first checking the main line sewer to the house as my husband suggested, the plumber used an auger and a snake to find the problem. Not only did he not find the problem, but he caused a major rupture in a plastic flange which caused water to accumulate in our ceiling above our family room to the point where the ceiling collapsed, and we received extensive water damage to our family room. After working for 3 hours, the plumber (stating that he was overwhelmed) called in a supervisor who came to the house exhausted and complaining that he (the supervisor) had worked ""14 plus hours already."" After an argument with my husband and denying that their plumber caused the rupture, Mike Diamond services walked off the job and refused to take responsibility for the damage done to our house. We were left with no usable bathrooms upstairs (two of them) and couldn't shower or use the sinks in either bathroom. The toilets that Mike Diamond disconnected were just left in the middle of the bathrooms as they ""walked away from the job."" The supervisor even admitted that the plumber was ""overwhelmed."" They simply walked away from the problem and the damage they caused. The next day my husband contacted another plumbing service who immediately came to our home. Within ten minutes after the new plumber arrived, and after checking the main line sewer drain first, the drainage problem was repaired. Mike Diamond's plumber never even looked at the main line sewer drain. My husband called Mike Diamond Services to see what they would do to repair the damage they caused to our home, and they sent another supervisor our to assess the problem. He looked at the damage, took some notes, and ultimately decided that Mike Diamond would refuse any responsibility for any of the damage they caused. We had to pay the other plumber $600 to repair the pipe Mike Diamond broke and then another $300 to reset our toilets. In addition, it's going to cost us another $5,000 to repair the damage. Mike Diamond says that the pipe that ruptured was already leaking ... which is NOT true. There was no leak in the pipe before they arrived. It was ruptured and/or broken by their overwhelmed plumber. This is not the first time we have had an issue with Mike Diamond. We called them about a year or so earlier and they said they would come to our house right away to see what problem we had. When the plumber showed up, it wasn't Mike Diamond at all ... it was another plumber (George Brazil Plumbing). If we wanted George Brazil Plumbing, we would have called George Brazil Plumbing. However, we overlooked it and decided to give Mike Diamond another chance ... and we are so sorry we did. We will never call Mike Diamond Services again for any of our plumbing needs and would certainly NOT recommend their services to anyone.

First the guy who came to our house stunk! So much for smell-good plumbers. They could not unplug the drain and each time they came up with another solution the estimate kept climbing. They spent three days at our house and finally ended up charging $3,000. They were about to add more at the end but I gave him the evil eye and he backed down. You know you're in good hands when the second day they bring in a new guy and Mr. Smelly introduces him as someone who usually works in the office but he's training him now. That day I was working in my office when I heard Mr. New Guy yell ""Shit!"" Downstairs Mr. Smelly Guy started yelling ""Turn the water off! Turn the water off!"" Needless to say their repair job lasted only one year and ended up having to tear through the wall again. They reek!

They may be affordable to fix a drain, but don't ask them for anything else, cause the will gauge the living hell out of you. I should have come on here to check first. $900 to fix a water supply line???? Seriously???
I will never use these clowns again....do yourself a favor and don't waste your time.

If I could give negative stars, I would!
Simply put, this company is unscrupulous, criminal and fraudulent. We believe they pray on women and the elderly. I had 3 standard toilets that needed routine maintenance and they quoted me either $2700 to rebuild or $3300 to replace?!? Even I (a girl) know new toilets are on avg only $100 -$200 ea. Btw, found a GREAT company the next day who performed rebuilds on all 3 toilets and the bill was $340.
My fiancé is an attorney and he called them out on fraud and RICO violations. If you haven't had to deal with fraud charges before, you typically wouldn't know about RICO. Mike Diamond not only knew about RICO, they made it perfectly clear how they avoid being prosecuted by them. We will be reporting them to the D.A. and have informed them that we would. Enough said. STAY AWAY!!

Well, yesterday when I was doing laundry, ...I went out in kitchen and both sinks were half full of mucky water. Place where water drains from washer was all full of soapy water too. So, hubby says call Mike Diamond, they advertise on KFI and are supposed to be only 99bucks! OKAY!
The girl who took my call was rather condescending. She asked what the problem was and then was all, ""Ahhh, I'm saw-weee..."" What? How unprofessional. I don't need to hear that you are 'saw-wee, po' you, you have no dwainage'. UGH!
WELL, the guy has come and gone. And I'm not happy. Should have read yelp reviews BEFORE calling.
They were on time, I gotta give them that! I really don't know if he smelled good, as I didn't get that close. But the guy was really difficult to understand (Indian, dots not feathers)... I had to ask him many times to repeat himself. And true to the majority of other Yelp reviewers claims, he started up-selling the minute he walked through the door. I suspected trouble when he wanted to know right off the bat how old our pipes are and how long it's been since we had a plumber out. (Do they always ask that, or was he trying to feel out the situation to see what he could put past me?)
We might have a broken pipe!... ($$$$$) but he will run his snake and see.
So, he ran his snake and said the problem is sludge and he is going to have to do a camera jet clean, because just snaking is not going to clear it. He has to go to his truck to get his book to give me a price (give me a break, he does this every day and he doesn't know the price?)
So, he says, it's 399. but he can give me 10% off. So, 350. :/
Well, the reason we called him is because he was cheaper than the guy we had last time that charged 170! So, I said no way can we afford that.
He wanted to speak to my husband (I guess he figured I was the tough sell in this relationship?) and after speaking to my husband on the phone, basically hung up and told me that my husband was lying if he said he can get it done for $170. (Do NOT start dissing my husband now!)
So, I'm thinking he is going to leave and I keep my 99dollars. NOPE! The drain is BETTER, albeit draining SLOW, so I am responsible for the $99.
He says there is NO WARRANTY for the 99dollars I just spent. But I can call him back within four days and he will deduct the 99 from the 350. he quoted me for the Camera Jet Job.
Ridiculous.
What a scam!

Caution! George Brazil was bought by the dreaded Mike Diamond over a year ago.
So now calling George Brazil will bring you a 'bait and switch' plumber that cahrges incredible high prices. I had a hose faucet that was leaking and wanted it fixed on a Sunday. The big George Brazil truck arrived, and the quote was $ 70 for the service call, and $ 250 for the faucet !! (This part would cost about $ 10 at a hardware store)
The plumber kept saying the $ 250 was what it said in the book!. I declined and then he asked what I was willing to pay. We settled on $ 30 for the part instead of the $ 250. If I hadn't known what the faucet was really worth I just might have fallen for the ridiculous quote. Beware of Mike Diamond and now George Brazil as well.
Especially if you aren't aware of what parts should cost. These 'plumbers' will takre advantage of you.

First off I have to admit my baback is hairier than a feral wookie. therefor my shower drain often gets gunked the f-up! thats when i called the Homie Mike D to come through . Also if you need some help getting your empty pipes filled check out my review for LAPCG.
WIth Love,
