Mike Diamond's childhood was influenced by living next to a plumber. By age 14, he was already riding along on plumbing jobs, doing what he could to assist. Over the next five years, he absorbed knowledge and skills. In 1976, Mike's entrepreneurial drive led him to start his own business. He obtained a contractor's license, gathered tools, and hit the road in his truck. He was only 19 when he began his operations from his parents' garage.

Mike Diamond Plumbing excels in service and repair for plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and electrical because he prioritizes customer needs.

For home gas heater repair: Service appointment cost 50% more than others in the area. Repair estimate was QUADRUPLE -- 4 times more! -- the cost I paid when I called another company! Quoted me $670 for a $40 part and a 20 minute installation, on top of the $100 service call fee. Same day, paid another company $200 all-in (service call, part, installation). When I called Mike Diamond (company) to request a better estimate, was told ""that's the book price; we can't compete with the internet."" No, Mike Diamond, and you can't compete with local companies, either!

AVOID! I would not believe it if I did not see it myself.

I went to help a friend with something on his house and he mentioned he had a plumbing issue and was waiting for Mike Diamond. I know quite a bit about plumbing and was going to help but he felt obligated to have them look since they were going to be there anytime.

The complaint was possibly high water pressure per his water softener company. So the guys show up and check everything out. They claim the pressure regulator needs to be replaced. He was also going to have them change a toilet fill valve too, he had the part for this.

The total bid to replace the pressure regulator and toilet fill valve was $1500. This is outrageous. A Wilkins 1 1/4 double union brass pressure regulator runs $100 to $125 at Lowes. Furthermore, this takes no more than 10 minutes to change out. My friend had the toilet fill valve and this takes about 10 minutes to change as well. So they were charging about $1400 in labor for about a half hour of work.

He sent them on their way without having them do the work. I happened to have my water pressure tester in my tool bag and tested the pressure. It tested at 65 psi, well within normal limits. In other words, he did not even need to have it changed. I then changed out the toilet fill valve and it took about 10 minutes.

I checked with another friend who just had his pressure regulator changed. He had a more complex pressure valve but a licensed plumber charged him a flat $250 to do the work, parts included.

Something is very fishy here. Check the Better Business Bureau page on them and see their D- rating and a slew of similar complaints.

I called Mike daimond up at 1:45 pm and they say they will be there before 3:00. The plumber didnt get to my house until 4:00 pm. He walked in and look at my toilets and say one need a flapper and the other need a ball/cock and flapper kit. Both toilet will cost about $600 to repair!!! OMG!!! I think i can buy two new toilets for that price. Then he charge me $76 for his service fee. He left at 4:20. WOW 20 mins cost me $76!!! and nothing was repair!!!

Bad experience. We called in the morning, couldn't get an appointment until ""after 1 p.m.,"" then they finally called at 2:30 p.m. to cancel. Then they asked to reschedule for the next day. I don't think so.

RIP OFF ALERT. Do yourself a favor, Don`t call this crook Mike Diamond. They are ripoffs. How can they sleep ripping people off. My toilet flush stopped working. I called these guys and they wanted $76.95 just to come out. Parts and labor for the repair extra. Huh?? No freakin` way. I went to Home Depot and bought the parts for $16.87 and fixed it myself. And it took me 15 minutes after seeing a repair video on Youtube.

Should have checked here first. Had a main line clog and called them at 4:45 on a Saturday. The web site said they were available until 8:00. Told us someone would be here before 9:00. Called back within ten minutes and told us they were shutting down for the day. Apparently, they don't need the business enough to honor their commitments.

Do not use these guys at any cost. We have an annual maintenance contract with MD and they came out mid-November to perform their annual inspection. We had no problems with leaks at that point. During they're inspection, they looked for unnecessary work to perform and ended up snaking two drains for $200, one of which was our upstairs bathtub.

Shortly after their work was completed we noticed pooling of water in the kitchen and laundry room. Thinking this was a problem with the fridge, we did our due diligence and checked all its hoses, etc.. It was only when our dog started licking moisture of the wall behind the fridge that we realized we had water coming down the walls from the bathroom upstairs.

We called MD and they came out only to misdiagnosed the problem, explaining that the caulking around the tub had worn out and told us we needed to get a tile guy to regrout the tub area. They recommended a company that does water remediation from which we are currently renting machines for $700.

Based on MD's assurance that there was no problem with the pipes, we extensively masked the seal between the tub and the tile wall and ran a small amount of water in the bathtub only to find water seeping through the wall and pooling on the kitchen floor again. At this point MD came back and found a hole in the pipe but took no responsibility and blamed it solely on the age of the pipe. They then tried to sell us an extremely costly replacement of all the pipes.

Two independent plumbers have since come to the house and confirmed that there is a puncture in the pipe from the bathtub that appears to have been caused by aggressive snaking due to its size and shape.

Needless to say, we strongly suspect that MD damaged these pipes during their annual inspection and have yet to take any responsibility for it.

Between the water remediation machines, the pipe replacement and unknown long term damages to the wall, we are out a lot of money and very unhappy.

This seems to be a clear case of negligence. While the individual plumbers have done good work in the past, it seems Mike Diamond the company is solely out for the sell, flashy trucks and TV ads. The lack of integrity backing up their work and acceptance of responsibility for their mistakes will eventually catch up with them.

Yesterday, i had kitchen drain clogged and needed immediate help. I recalled radio commercial which I'm listening every day while driving, and called Mike Diamond - The Smell Good Plummer. During the call, the customer service rep was asking a lot of questions to diagnose my problem and after 5 mins waiting (while he contacted the owner) answered that they don't serve the buildings with more than 3 floors.
I'm wondering, why they don't ask this question in the beginning of the questionnaire!

The plummer came to my rental property asking $672 to ""rebuild"" a valve while the top of the line valve @ Home Depot is less than $100. Asking him how comes that to rebuild costs so much more than to ""build"" (If Home Depot sells at $50 it probably costs them $15) he lost it and hang up on me

I will give them 0 star if there is such an option. How should I describe them? Crooks and thieves that's what they are. They should be shame of their own ""smell good plumber"" commercial. Don't believe in their $99.00 price from radio. It's all lies!

Hubby called them up to take care of a slow flow problem. Before they could do the $99.00 snake service, they asked for $300.00 camera fee to see how bad the situation is.. Out of desperation, we agreed. So, after the $300.00 camera fee and $100+ snake fee, the problem could not be fixed according to two clowns. They have the gall to ask for $2000.00 additional for hydrojeting and etc.. We cut our loss and sent them on their way.

We called up courtesy plumber base on yelp review. that company fixed the problem for $115.00. We should have checked with yelp earlier.

We called the corporate office and they refunded the $100+ snake fee, but refuse to refund the camera fee. What a bunch of crooks. I hope they are out of business soon.
