I knew we probably needed a new faucet so I bought one to have when the plumber came. He confirmed the leak in then faucet then wanted another $400 in addition to the $76 service call to replace it.

UNBELIEVABLE!

I politely declined and will now seek another plumber to do the work.

It's really a shame that yelp doesn't allow zero stars...cause that's what Mike Diamond Plumbers really deserves. I've called them twice for emergencies both times they said they would be right over and no one came. I guess all of their plumbers were in the shower making sure they smelled good.

Wow!!! $900 to replace a garbage disposal? No thanks. $78 from Amazon, a handyman friend and a few beers later and I'm up and running again.

Avoid. Had a mainline blockage on Easter morning. My usual plumber said he was unavailable, so I called Mike Diamond at 9:30 AM. They said they would have someone out by 10:30, and that it would cost $99. Then my usual plumber called back to say he was available, but I waved him off because I THOUGHT I had some less expensive on the way.

The Mike Diamond guy showed up 2 1/2 hours late, then wanted over $300 to scope the blockage so he could tell me how much it would really cost. I told him where to stick his scope.

I'm now waiting for my usual plumber (Gruenberg Plumbing in Fullerton 714-871-3571) who has ALWAYS been straight with me.

Promises to show up on time and smell good, or your house call is free. Let me just say this. He charged my mother in law over $800 to replace the valve assembly in her toilet tank. Now that's a $20 part at home depot and a 30 minute job. And that $800 price? that was AFTER giving her a free house call for showing up late !! And the only reason he gets even one star is because I had to rate it with something.

Run the other way!
So I poured some rice down the kitchen sink and clogged it up. Called up Mike Diamond and the operator said it'll be $99 for any basic plumbing, just like they had advertised. The guy shows up, takes a half look at the sink, and says he has to use a Hydrojet so it'll be $377 instead. Brought his binder of prices so he could show me them in print, too. Not as gullible as I apparently look, I kicked him out. Today I had a REAL plumber come and he snaked the drain and charged me $60!!!
Not only would I not recommend this place I am warning all my family and friends.

Get another referral from somewhere else.
We got Giovanni from Mike Diamond. He showed up and assessed our situation. We just needed to install new fixtures in our 2 bathrooms. Nothing too fancy...maybe one with a handshower fixture.
He told us to go to Snyder Diamond to pickout our fixtures since Home Depot doesn't have quality products. So we did as he recommended, and ended up with $2K worth of bathroom fixtures. He came over to install...opened up a giant whole in our wall, started cutting away at the wooden beams and saudering away. Then he realized he SCREWED UP, and came over to tell us this wasn't going to work. He then said we should pick up a more simple Kohler fixture ($200) at Home Depot that he can install.
We tried to return the expensive stuff, and after we showed them photos, they also told us our plummer SCREWED UP and they can get us someone to do it properly.
So, we called Giovanni to fire him, and all of a sudden he said he can install the fancy fixtures as scheduled.
We ended up getting the Kohler showerhead due to time restriction - we had friends coming to stay with us and needed it fixed ASAP. We SHOULD have just gone to Home Depot to begin with and hired a different plummer.
We had him do the 1 bathroom for $1000, but we'll hire someone else to do the master bathroom, and kitchen water line to the refrigerator.

They SUCK! They have all of those ""smell good"" plumber commercials on the radio. Unclog any drain for $99! Right! IF they come out. We had a clogged drain - they said they would come out at a certain time. Then a half hour before - they cancelled! Then they had the audacity to send us a coupon to use off of their next service! I will never call them again! We wound up calling LA Hydrojet. They actually came out when they said they would, and came back when we had more problems for free!

So this so called $99.00 special is just a way to get people to call, once they get to you they only have the objective to sell sell sell sell. i was at my aunts house last night an she had a mainline clog, i told her i had a great experience recently with the LRS PLUMBERS but no she wanted to call the $ 99.00 company. when all was said an done they were trying to line her sewer for $ 7,000.00 . She finally listened and called my guys LR Services Plumbing www.lrsplumbing.com
Mike Diamond should nopt advertise $ 99.00 if it not going to be 99$

My hot water tank leaked, a very nice gentleman showed and gave me a price of over $3500. I could not believe it.
I told them no thank you and called a local plumber and $1,000 later the work was done.
That seems a bit excessive
