What rip off artists. I had them out today to fix my air conditioner. They charged me 1150%, that's 585.00 for a part that cost 46.00 at Grainger. I had them out once to unclog a drain and it cost 99.99 so I thought or was hooked into thinking they were honest. I can understand a 100% mark up but not 1100%.

I am in Los Angeles. There is not even a LISTING for Mike Diamond, on Yelp, in Los Angeles. I think I have an idea as to why: It's because any listing would surely lose them millions in revenue. They suck and suck utterly. In my opinion and based upon what happened yesterday, they are crooks and brigands and liars. Now, I must say I used them once, in a past emergency when our regular plumber was not available, and they were definitely expensive but they showed up and got the job done. They are nearly ubiquitous on the radio and lull you into thinking they're terrific people with that cute, homey radio campaign with the whole ""smell good"" and harp strumming crap. But be not fooled, plumbing-challenged reader! Yesterday we had an emergency sewer line clog so I called them as the new campaign says they will ungclog ANY drain for 99 bucks. I called them and, sure enough, the nice lady said they'd unclog the main for... 99 bucks. I was delighted! She said I would be called 30 minutes prior to arrival and that the window for arrival was 11 AM to 1 PM. 3:10 PM and they finally show and that's bad enough. I show the plumbers, there were two, where the main access is. The lead guy says they cannot work from the access I show them as it is ""too small"" and that he will have to call out his supervisor to determine what needs to be done. Now, I KNOW what the supervisor bit means so I ask him to cut to the chase and tell me what it's going to cost to repair the problem. ""Let me get the book,"" he says, those dreaded words. Mike Diamond plumbers, you see, works per job and all rates are in that sweet little book of theirs. So I figure, $300, maybe $400? Well, he points to the suggested repair and, get this -- Twenty two hundred and forty seven dollars. All I could do was laugh. Anyway, I bade these fine, good-smelling gentlemen adieu and called Rescue Rooter, who came out within 2 hours, as scheduled, and cleared the main for... $225. Main is completely cleared now and all is well in Toilletland. Do NOT use Mike mDiamond. Do not. Under ANY circumstances. Even if they WILL unclog your drain for $99, they do not deserve your business. Go to Craigslist and find some guy, who may not smell as good, to snake out the clog for $50. I imagine any 5 star ratings you see for this company are generated by the company itself. Do not use them. They are evil and, beneath the surface, they smell like, well, you know.

Zero stars! NO SHOW! I made an appointment and confirmed it by telephone. Mike Diamond was a no show! My time is valuable too! I set aside an entire day for this service call. It was scheduled three days in advance and they never showed up! When I called to find out when they were coming, I did not receive an apology, nor did they even seem to care! THEY JUST LOST A CUSTOMER! I will never call Mike Diamond again!

I had a plumbing problem with a blocked sewerage drain.

I tired one rooter service but they were unsuccessful.

I called Mike Diamond to take another shot at clearing the drain.

They refused and told me they were not interested in my business!!

What kind of a plumbing company is that???

My wife called me at work and said that the kitchen sink drain was clogged. I remembered Mike Diamonds $99 guarantee commercial and, unfortunately, believed it. I called and they were over in relatively short order. Within a brief while, they informed my wife that it would cost us over $500 to finish. She called me immediately and realizing that we were having guests coming over to spend the night I felt forced to accede to their demands. They were done in less than an hour and left. My wife informed me that they were nice gentlemen, but I really can't imagine referring their services to anyone else.

unbelievable! guy shows up with attitude. says he's in a hurry has two more calls. we were quoted $149. told me it was $350 to pull the toilet. pulled it myself in 5 mins. snaking wasn't working from that toilet. informed him it would have to be done from the other toilet he left without saying a word. just gone. I say good riddance. called roto rooter. nice guy with a smile. good job, good price.

My toilet was flushing slow for a while, I called this place because the commercials I heard on the radio. The lady who answered the phone was nice and set up an appointment the next day. Then the plumber came. He seemed like he didn't want to be there. I showed him the toilet and told him the problem. He told me ""we don't remove toilets"". I thought, you are a plumber right?
Then I asked him, "" So, can you fix my toilet?"" He said ""I'm gonna have to do a smoke test and other stuff, its gonna cost you a lot of money."" At that point I was pretty mad, so I showed him the door. He clearly is paid by the hour and not by the job. Why work when you can sit in your big plumbers truck and do nothing?

The tech that did come out was nice Daniel Barajas, however dispatcher David was a complete jackass. After losing my appointment in the system they just told me that were not going to show up because I had let them know how frustrated I was with their service and was going to post a yelp review. I have only posted one other time that a business really has to upset me in order for me to post. Stay away! Three days with no service and they just don't care! Maybe I should take them to small claims for not performing work after a contract has been signed...

Do I have to give a star? I can't tell you if their work produced positive results or not, because they never showed up to do the job. We had the sewer back up on us overnight. We called Mike Diamond because of their advertisements, and we were told that they would be there between 9am and 1pm. Meanwhile we are without use of a toilet or water, in a one bathroom house. Come 1:30pm, no technician, no call. My husband called and they said they were backed up and they would be here in a couple of hours! What? They assured us they would call every hour to update us. By 3pm, we still hadn't heard anything, we called again. We were assured that someone would be there within 20 to 40 minutes. We called someone else during this time and left a message. During this time we received a call back and technicians arrived at our house from the other company. My husband called to cancel Mike Diamond and there never was an apology, just an ""okay!""

I don't care if my plumber smells good, I care if they show up and do the work.
