Great service! The guys were very personable and took care of the problem extremely quickly! $99 as advertised and quoted over the phone :)
Lowered one star because they gave us a specific appointment time, but gave us a time window when we called to ask why they weren't here yet.

Looked them up to see the Yelp reviews after they came over to our house. Wish I checked yelp first. Super fast response comes with a high price. We had a leak and the guy quickly identified the garbage disposal needed to be replaced. Quote was super high to fix $900x. When asked how many labor hours will this take the guy says we bill by the job and not the hour. WHAT? Cost me $75 to get a dumb quote, and sent them packing. Our handyman bought the item for $120 at home depot & installed it in less than an hour.

Will give MD credit as the guy determined problem and gave quote quick with the option to go buy one at store and he could install to save us money. I guess some people just buy the one in the truck and pay the high price for quick service. We just waited a day and went out to dinner and saved some crazy big $. Silly he didn't just sell & install the unit on the truck for a reasonable price and charge us an hour for the work. In a pinch they get there fast but prices may reflect the speed. Best to get a second quote on any repair, probably why they charge $75 for a quote. I was fine paying the $75. Would have preferred they guy just did the work too. But it was the principal of the matter ..when price was not based on hours.

So I went through the website to make an appointment and the person reaponding was pretty quick to reply, asking what time period I wanted and I told them the 9am-1pm would be good. They replied Hello ""We can definitely schedule you for the morning. What seems to be the plumbing issue you are having this evening?"" I explained the issue and they responded, "" We can definitely help you out with this. All basic stoppages are $99 and if the technician is unable to clear the drain, there is no charge to you. We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards upon completion of any work and we will give you a call 30-40 minutes beforehand to let you know when the technician is due to arrive."" That should mean it's all taken care of, right? Nope. Waited all morning for nothing. Contacted them again to see what happened and was told ""I do apologize for the inconvience. The appointment was not made on our end. I can set you up for Sunday 10.19.14 between 9am-1pm."" Waste another day waiting for the smell good plumber to probably not show again? No thanks. I Should've read the reviews.

Father in Law's house out back had broken pipe... I had called Mike Diamond before for their $99 drains ervice, which went well... called them for this... they looked at the pipe, said it would take two hours to repair... for $1600... I explained that it seemed like a high quote, so they graciously took it down to $1400... still seemed really high, so I paid them their $75 for showing up and called another bonded plumber... who did the job for $300 all in... I was so happy at the savings I had to plumber replace my kitchen faucet (he charged $150 labor... Mike Diamond's quote... $700)... I don't expect them to be the cheapest guys on the block, but damn... charging over $1000 more than another qualified plumber for the same job? Seems a bit... shady...

Mike Diamond Plumbing wrote an estimate of 5,333.33 to clear a clogged sewer drain at my home. Because the estimate was so high, I called a rooter company to obtain a second quote. The rooter company cleared the drain in fifteen minutes and handed me an invoice for $185. The attached invoices reveal the drastic difference in price and I feel compelled to warn others who would consider using Mike Diamond Plumbing.

I don't know why they have so many bad reviews. We've had them come out a number of times for different issues and have never had a problem.

Our latest incident was due to the padre attempting to fix a leaking toilet and a plugged shower. Of course his attempts just made it worse, so we called Mike Diamond and they sent someone the next day (Saturday).

Eran was great. He fixed the blocked mainline quickly and was able to reseal the toilet all in under 3 hours. He also had no problem answering my father's multitude of questions as he was working. He didn't have an attitude about it either (you know that-I have to answer your questions because it's my job but I'd really rather not talk to you and have you leave me alone attitude). He also left absolute no mess when he was done.

I would definitely recommend Eran and Mike Diamond.

If it was possible to do a negative number I would. Had a leak under the kitchen sink. Called Mike Diamond Plumbers. The plumber arrived looked under the sink for maybe 5 seconds and then went to his truck for 15 minutes to get an estimate. Came back with the news that the disposer had to be replaced for $1,100! That included their warranty, if I went without the warranty it was something like $895. Said no thanks but they still charged me $65 for showing up to tell me it would cost $1100 to replace the disposal. Called another plumber and got the whole thing taken care of for $290 including installation and a brand new quality disposal. NEVER call these people.

Wow. This was one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. My downstairs toilet was backed up and overflowing and I needed a solution ASAP. My contractor suggested I call a local rooter to handle the issue and when Mike Diamond arrived (after waiting for an hour) they told me they couldn't root the problem because to get access to the drain area he had to climb stairs. To bring the equipment up the stairs required another person. We asked him if my WILLING contractor could help him and he said no, it has to be a licensed technician. Then we asked him if he could call someone and he said no. I understand that stairs could be an issue and I even understand that you would want another technician but a) when I told the woman on the phone that I lived in a hill she did NOT ask me if I had stairs or suggest they would be a problem and b) the technician that arrived was completely unwilling to help so we had to call another company.

It was a complete waste of two hours. I highly recommend that you go somewhere else for your rooting problems.

THEY MAKE $75 JUST TO COME OUT & QUOTE YOU AN OUTRAGEOUS PRICE! Get a job with them and just drive around collecting $75 while making outrageous quotes.

Quoted $1000 just to change the faucet (we supplied), air vent, and drain in our kitchen sink! Called a local plumber and they quoted $189 & did a fantastic job and were very reliable and helpful. They also told us that George Brazil and Mike Diamond are the same company, but the GB got so many bad reviews that they had to change the name!

All I can is that they promise what they deliver. The problem is what they promise is way too expensive.

I needed a water main valve next to the house replaced. It had very easy access (above ground) and basically the job entailed cutting a copper piper and putting a new valve on plus soldering. The valve cost per Lowes is $15. The charge from Mike Diamond was $630. The job itself took less than thirty minutes. i.e. works out to be more than $1,200 per hour. Even if I gave them a credit of one hour for their travel time - that works out to about $430 per hour.

Now, they were polite enough, they showed up on time and they did quote me the ridiculously high price job in advance and stuck too it. When the job was done, the plumber asked if I would like to make a comment. I said you don't want mine - I thought the costs was exceedingly high. His response - yeah, but we showed you the price ahead of time. I responded - yep, but I had to have the water on (company was coming) so I really had no choice but to pay). Kind of like - if you're leg is broken your in no postilion to quibble with the Doctor about the cost of the cast.

So, if you need a plumber as your very last resort - they're your folks. They will show up on time and fix your problem. However, you will pay through the nose.
