Called to acquire a quote, scheduled the tech appointment. Then Monday wasn't available, but the Tech would be in Tuesday between 8 am to 10 am. Well, it was way after 10 am when I called back; and was told Bill and Gail Wolf no longer owned Midway and it was now a Corporate; any previous relationship were no longer validated. Well, I told her what the usual quote was and if it still remained the same; as I was expecting maybe a $15 to $20 increase. Then got told the Tech makes the decision and pricing and determine what all the work needs. Hello, they were specifically informed who I am (I am a Florida Licensed General Contractor since 1972 and this includes HVAC); told them specifically what they were coming out for and they decided to derail me. Then changed the story to well you can talk to the Tech when he arrives; A/C Dispatch says he will be there within 15 to 30 minutes as he was enroute. Due to bad weather, most likely the reason why my Modem went offline; and as I always say ASSUMPTIONS AND PRESUMPTIONS WILL ALWAYS GET YOU IN TROUBLE. I GUARANTEE IT! She assumed I hung up and she went ahead and CANCELED the call claiming there were no call back number (yes there was because they called back to give the appointment time). So I went outside to wait for the Tech; and over an hour and some minutes later - NO SHOW. And I called back to find out where the Tech was.... THEY - YES, MIDWAY CANCELED THE SERVICES UNDER THE ASSUMPTIONS AND PRESUMPTIONS I HAD HUNG UP ON THEM! After all these years, including helping out Bill Wolf when he acquired Midway from his Dad and merged his with his dad's.... THIS IS THE END. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MIDWAY TO ANYONE ANYMORE! I HAVE ZERO TOLERANCE FOR THIS SHODDINESS - PERIOD!

We had to replace the drain on an older tub. Sounded like a simple job but it turned out to be a nightmare. David was incredible....determined to find a solution and he did. Fantastic job I have used Midway for a new HVAC unit, electrical work to replace breakers, and now plumbing. We have had some scheduling glitches but the technicians that have come and the work they performed was excellent. Not the cheapest but the best Ken My profile shows Gulf Shores, AL but this was for my home in Clearwater, FL

If you own a business beware!!! I tried to go the professional route when getting my AC serviced for my business so I called Midway Services and that is where things fell apart. I had the guy come out """"field supervisor"""" and I paid to have the maintenance plan he recommended two things to be fixed (AC lingo) all I know is it was almost $1200.00 ok no problem seems like he knows what he is talking about and I have a maintenance plan so if I was to have problems in the future they would come out....little did I know! I turned on the AC later that day it was blowing nothing but hot air....im like ok... called them the following day talked to the """"manager"""" and he assured me that they had qualified workers and they did a thorough check turns out that a piece """"AC Lingo"""" needed to be cleaned... im like ok why wasn't that piece checked during the maintenance check? The """"field supervisor"""" said he made a mistake and he apologized! I guess shit happens.... i felt empathy and understood and trusted after I spend $700.00 to get a piece cleaned that my customers will have AC....boy was I wrong. I turned it on for the 1st time a week later and the AC doesn't even come on. I call them again not very happy but trying to get to the bottom of the issue.... they now say that a blower fan went out.... If I spend this $900.00 and this AC still doesn't come on im coming to Clearwater and getting a full refund or getting arrested one or the other because they are playing with my time and money 2 things that I do not play with. I have an older AC so I would respect if they said hey your system is too old to work on, but they made it seem like they could repair it... you know they hit me with the just get a new system. If you cant repair a system why would I allow you to install a new one? The dumb part on my end is not being there when they """"fixed it"""" either time to verify it works.... and trusting that an expensive AC company knows what they are doing. In other words go with someone else!

Not sure what to think. I had a wonderful experience initially based on a clogged toilet. Technician came out within a couple hours of my call, was friendly and efficient. His report was that he found some small roots from a small palm at the back of yard on his drill blade where the sewage comes out. The toilet function was restored and I was given a bill of $350.00 and a guarantee of six months. He also said an additional technician would be dispatched with an optical camera to make sure all was as well as he suspected. Several days later the second technician arrived and reported there was a stump (dead for over 12 years and not even mentioned in the first visit) growing in the pipe and would require a $10,000+ replacement of the whole piping system. Who was right I don't know, will just ride out my six months guarantee. I did some research and have previously had the front yard lines replaced for about $1,500.00 where there are LIVE trees that could be understandably a problem. My research stated the average cost for this service is about $1,000 to 6,000. I don't live in a mansion so I would think my cost would be somewhere in the middle IF the replacement is actually necessary.

Do not bother even calling Midway Services. I made an appointment with this company last week for getting Washer and Drying installed in my Condo. After waiting over 1 hour past the appointed time, I phoned their Office, and received absolutely no assistance from their office. It is obvious that this company-Midway Services- does not care about their commitments/customers.

I called and they offered someone to come out same day. Looking for a emergency shut off for a gas connection to put in a natural gas grill. Man arrive promptly and there's where it fell apart. He told me I needed a permit, and was offering a """"check"""" to make sure there was gas at the site. (which I knew there was) which there was a charge. He never really answered my questions and I finally asked could he do it and how long would it take and would it be over $300 and he said more....he said the permit alone was $150 and it would be awhile......There was nothing in his conversation that made me think he knew what he was doing or his was taking me for a fool. I had already done some preliminary work on this and said No Thanks. I called TECO and they gave me a recommendation of Plummer who worked on gas connections. He is doing the job for $200 and will have it done it a hour. Insult to injury. I called and spoke to Customer Service Mger with Midway and she wasn't interested at all in the situation . She totally defended the actions of her employee. She obviously wasn't listening. She was non apologetic and is in the wrong business.

I would avoid this company at all cost. I scheduled them to come out to deal with a simple drainage clog. I was given a quote of almost $3,000. Actually my wife was given the quote which begs the question of whether the company was trying to take advantage of my wife being female and being unfamiliar with plumbing work. After I advised how outrageous the quote was, it was quickly dropped by almost $1,000. With the quote still being outrageous we called another company that was able to take care of it on the spot for about $300. I can't imagine the number of unsophisticated consumers, retirees and the like that his company has taken advantage. My suggestion would be to avoid them at all cost.

I rent a home in Clearwater. The tankless gas hot water heater died and needed to be replaced. Thank goodness our landlord agreed to replace it for another of the same unit. They hired Midway Services to do the job. Midway sent out a plumber, nice enough guy. He takes the old one down and puts the new one up. No fuss, no hassle, is done in a couple hours and we have hot water again, hallelujah! Move forward a few days, inspector comes out, reviews the hot water heater (which is installed outside on the wall of the house) and comes to the conclusion that everything looks great except for the fact that the gas line that runs from the gas meter to the hot water heater needs to be grounded and it currently is not. He tells me that he has to fail the inspection and have them come back out to put a ground on the gas line. No problem! This should be easy, right? WRONG! Midway is now going to send out an electrician to ground the gas line. I'm told that I don't need to be here for them to do it, except the guy gets here and ends up leaving because as he tells it, he needs to get in the house. The only part of the heater that's in the house is the control panel that sets the temperature. Everything else is outside. So Midway calls me and tells me the electrician needs to get in the house. Ridiculous I say to the dispatcher who has no clue about any of it. So we schedule for me to be here the next day when the electrician comes back. Electrician comes back, still insisting he needs to get in the house. I let him in, show him the panel and tell him it's the only part in the house. He says, """"Oh, it's outside?!"""" Yes, I've only told everyone I've spoken to that several times not to mention that the guy that installed it was from the same company! So, we walk out to the water heater and I show him where the inspector said that the ground needed to go, on the gas line from the gas meter to the water heater. I am unable to watch him putting the ground on, but I figure he's an electrician, he should know what he's doing and also I was working from home. I ended up having to leave around the same time he finished so I didn't even see the completed work. A couple days later an inspector comes out. This is my first time looking at what the electrician did. First and foremost, he attached the ground to the wrong gas line. He put it on the line coming up from the ground into the meter. Next, instead of attaching it to the grounded pole that is right there in front of the water heater, he had drilled holes in the house and run copper piping from the gas line, about 10 feet around a corner to the electric meter ground. Infuriating. So, the inspector fails it again and after explaining the situation to my landlord she called the company and they promised to send someone out to fix it the same day. Whomever it was that came out to fix it didn't knock on the door or anything, they just moved where the copper ground was attached to the proper place. Cut to this past Monday where I had been told again that I didn't need to be there, this time for the inspector to come out. Turns out, he won't go into the gate without direct permission from the tenant or house owner. So Midway calls me again to reschedule for him to come out the next day with me there this time. They are supposed to call me back to let me know what part of the day the inspector would be coming. They never call me back. The next morning I try to call them starting at just after 7:00 am when they open and it only ever goes to voicemail, but the mailbox is full so I can't even leave a message. After about 2 hours of this, I call in to work because I don't want to miss the inspector and I don't know when he's supposed to be there. I get in touch with the city of Clearwater only to find out that the inspector had gotten permission from my landlord and came back out the day before and everything was completed. Midway did call me later that day stating they saw they had a missed call from my number, but the damage had been done.

Very disappointed would not honor special for 59.00 for AC tune up that was online. Would not do any business with them. This has no expiration date on it. How could you trust a company that advertises something they do not honor it.

Absolutely perfect service calls for electrical work they were out in 2 hours could not be more happy with the price or the service these are my new electrical guys for Apollo Beach I will never use anyone else
