I called Midas in the morning about a plumbing problem in the kitchen. He was able to schedule me for an early afternoon visit. He cleared the main line that was backed up, and then explained to us why running the disposal was causing blow-back on the other side of the kitchen sink. It turns out we have a smaller pipe. He was honest about the issue and explained that changing the pipe was not worth the cost. I probably could have save him a trip and our cost, but at least we got the main line cleaned out. I see it as regular maintenance--yes, homes need that too! Overall, I recommend Midas wholeheartedly.

I had a shower backing up which I suspected meant the sewer main was probably backed up.

Called Midas after finding them on yelp. They quoted a price and thought that might be a bit high so I shopped around.

Went with another plumber due to an ad for much less. After the other guys came and tried to snake for only 15 min, they started to quote me for installing a new cleanout($$) since they said they couldn't get snake around the pipe bends from where they were trying. I sent those people away and tried more of my self help.

The next day I called back Midas to see what they could do. After a little more effort than the other guys(~100 feet of snaking), my sewer main was cleared. Yay!

Wrote James from Midas a check and was pleased with the service. I felt Midas tried to really solve the problem w/out trying to simply gouge me for money in my time of need.

Will definitely keep Midas' number handy for my plumbing needs.

When I realized I really did need someone who knew what they were doing, I called him back and he was there the next morning. Fixed it. Friendly. Professional. Awesome. After I saw great reviews for them, I had hired them in February, 2013 to fix a leaky main water pipe joint. The leak started happening again at the same spot so I called them over the weekend to report this. John called me right away and had James come and fix the leak in 2 days.

Our kitchen faucet sprouted a big leak from the pull down spray part and we didn't have a plumber contact. Decided to check Yelp reviews and saw all the great reviews for Midas Plumbing. I immediately called and John answered and we set up an appointment for the next morning. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with John at Midas Plumbing! He is knowledgeable, professional, respectful, a very kind man who had my new faucet installed in no time and I was very happy with the cost! He then cleaned up his work area and was very gracious and polite. I will definitely call Midas for any future plumbing work - only wish there were more like him in other repair categories. About as pleasant of an experience for which one can hope.

Had a stopped drain in a single bathroom sink. Had tried all the ""home remedies,"" to no avail. Jumped onto Yelp and looked for a reputable plumbing service, and I was not disappointed.

Called John, who answered promptly on his cell, traded information. He said we would be working another job but gave me an estimated time of 1pm. Showed up at like 11am (that's right, two hours early) to see if he could take a look. After inspecting the situation, John gave me two possible scenarios and their respective prices before continuing. I appreciated the upfront nature of the possible costs.

It took him a whopping 10 minutes with a hand crank snake-e-doo-dad (not the technical term, I'm told), and this 40 your old sink is running smoooooth. Wrote him a check, he provided a professional-looking invoice, and that was that.

Thanks, John, for being prompt, professional, and most of all, effective. And thanks to Yelpers for giving props where they are due and getting business to those most deserving.

Took a chance on Yelp to help me find a great plumber and I was pleased I gave it a try. Based on the other ratings, I took a chance. John was great.
Came to our house on time as scheduled, kept the bathroom area very clean as he worked, and fixed my plugged up bathroom drain very quickly.
Had called around and the charge was pretty reasonable.
Would definitely use this service again!!!.

I haven't posted anything on Yelp before, but John came the same day I called, was on time, friendly, quick and did a good job. Of course I wished it was a little cheaper, but worth it for the professionalism.
