Fair, professional and knowledgeable technicians. Definitely recommend this company. Had a technician come to my house for an a/c inspection and he combed through the equipment in the attic as well as the outdoor unit.

Had a leak and water running from under my refrigerator. Called Michael & Son, who said they would come out. Several hours later, I called again and was informed I was on their priority list. Called the third time (since I called RotoRooter in the meantime and was told they were busy and it would be the next morning after 8 am) I could see myself mopping the floor all night long - had used every towel in the house and mopping every 10 minutes. 24 hour service? I don't think so. They even pulled up information and found I had used them once before to unstop a toilet about 5 years previously I was at the point of just giving up and going to bed, waiting to float out the next morning. However, I got a call from Mori, with Michael & Son saying he was on the way. At about 8:30 he arrived, pulled my refrigerator out, showed me in the garage where the cutoff valve thing is, cut my water to my icemaker off, leaving all the other water on for me, Very pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable. I went to bed knowing all was well!!! Many thanks, Mori, you were a lifesaver!!!.

A home inspector found that we needed to have our gas water heater grounded, and it needed to be repaired since we were under contract to sell our home. Our realtor sent us a list of recommended vendors, and Michael and Son was the only electrician on the list. So we scheduled them to come out and quote the job. I was not home but my wife met with the technician, Jonathon. He was courteous and professional. He quoted the job at $479. We felt painted in a corner given the time frame was short to make the repair, so we agreed to have him do the work. Come to find out that this job was not in line at all with the market price for this service. The job was done right, no question. The question is around the price for a simple repair.
I called the customer care line and was greeted promptly and courteously. I explained the situation and asked to speak with the supervisor. When the supervisor got on the phone, he listened again as I explained the situation. He understood the position and explained that there is not much he could on the phone but he stated he would send a message to the area supervisor to give me a call.
I received a call later that day from the GM. We talked for 30 or more minutes. It was a very frank discussion and he knew how displeased I was with the price. Being a sales professional myself, I know how businesses operate. They are in it to make money. And I am in the business of hanging to as much of mine as I can. I was not particularly pleased with the GM explaining to me they ""hire only the best"" and they have to pay them a premium. I get it, you want the best. He continued to explain that his techs expect to make 6-figure salaries. What couldn't be explained is why a job is bid not by the hour but by the job itself. The market price for this service with a licensed, bonded and insured electrician is between $85 and $125. Not $508. The GM understood my complaint and we negotiated a lower price, although that price is still well above the market price for this service.
So, I will say Michael and Son do a good job, the techs are well prepared, and professional. I would recommend them, but get quotes from other licensed contractors, then negotiate a price.

We purchased a tankless hot water heater from Michael & Son. Matthew visited us in our home, explained our options without any pressure and gave us a chance to make an informed decision. He came two days later and installed the new water heater. He was very professional, in all of our dealings with him. We are completely satisfied, and will recommend Michael & Son to anyone needing their services.

I had ""blinking light"" syndrome in my house recently. I called Michael and Son Services basically because they were in the phone book. I'm glad I did! Setting up the appointment was a breeze, the operator was very polite and responsive. I was scheduled right away and the technician was right on time. He was polite, knowledgeable, and very comprehensive. My problem was solved after needed parts were received.

I recommend them for any electrical work that might be needed.

I had a technician named Bruce come out to the restaurant I manage this afternoon to fix our HVAC unit and he was awesome! He was very knowledgable and had the problem fixed in under half an hour. The service was great, I would highly recommend.

The supply line coming into our meter box had dry rotted and was arcing inside the box. The always useless Duke power cut our power and told us to call an electrician. In the mean time, we had no power in heat of Summer.

Anthony arrived right on time and was extremely polite and helpful. He provide a quote that was inline with a couple other estimates, and he offed a 10% discount if we acted now. (which we obviously did since we had no power)

Anthony begun work immediately and stayed at our house till about 10:30pm working his butt off to help get our power back ASAP.

I was very pleased with the work and commitment to getting our power back on swiftly.

Sorry!!! $660 to install 4 under cabinet lights that were already wired in, working and up 2 weeks ago. Just wanted them put back up after we removed our tile backsplash!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I gladly paid the $29 for service call fee for way over priced estimate. Never again. Maybe job was to small for you but you should have told me when I booked the appointment. Technician was very nice and apologized!! He said that is what he was told to charge and he tried to explain it to his manager. BE CAREFUL!!!!!

Michael and Son ruined my Thanksgiving.
My heat went out 2 days before Thanksgiving. Called Michael and Sons and they were the only company that could come the day before Thanksgiving. The HVAC contractor arrived at my house and was outside approximately 45mins ""investigating the issue"". He returned with news that 3 parts needed to be replaced amounting in approximately $3000 ($1500 for parts and $1500 for labor). Of course he didn't recommend going this route because there was no warranty and he felt like we would be gambling with our money. So the next best offer was to replace the whole unit for approximately $7200. My house is only 6 years old so I find it hard to believe that a whole new unit is needed. He proceeded to go over all these options of how we could finance a new unit. My husband told him several times that we needed to think about and discuss his findings. My husband and I decided to get a second opinion so we enlisted the services of Tier 1 Heating and Air. Let me just say, I wish we would have called them first. We called Tier 1 Heating and Air and explained the situation, they were at our house less than 2 hours after the Michael & Son contractor left. The manager/HVAC contractor concluded that we only needed a fan motor and coil. So a situation in which Michael and Son estimated that we would have to pay $3000-$7200, only ended up costing us $478. Lets just say that some people were trying to get their Christmas started early. So if I have learned anything from this situation, is not to call them for anything. Tier 1 Heating and Air will be the company I use to handle all of my HVAC issues. PLEASE BE AWARE!!!!
