On 8/9/2020 a pipe broke under a bathroom sink, flooding the room. We had moved to the area shortly before & hired Micah's based on a few local recommendations. Micah & his wife, Jennifer, came 8/10 & "repaired" the break. They were nice & we were relieved to have it fixed. On 8/27/20, that same plumbing "fix" failed again, drenching the cabinet underneath. I texted & left an urgent voicemail message asking them to come & fix it again. Jennifer said they were on an emergency call & couldn't come. I had outpatient surgery scheduled the next morning at 5:30am & their "repair" failed 2 weeks after their "fix". So I had surgery scheduled, standing water again in the bathroom, but she suggested I call another plumber to fix what they "repaired" 2 weeks before! Nice, caring, customer service- NOT! We mopped up the mess & my husband figured out a way to bypass the break. NO THANKS to Micah's! This is NOT a company I would recommend to anyone! I hesitated about posting a negative review for a local small business, but it is honest.

Recent info- We had a clog in that same sink & contacted another local company, Auger Pros! I've used them several times since moving to Lucas & they are professional, caring and efficient. They actually said my husband's previous bypass was well done! Need a good plumbing company in our area- call Auger Pros!

Hey Jennifer,

If any of what you say is true that sucks but it's not like they told us that on any of the number of times we tried to get help, but regardless it doesn't give them the right to treat customers poorly and just hope we understand something we aren't aware of. SMH! . We were just treated rudely with no explanation. Surely you can understand how that would be disappointing. But yeah blaming the unknowing customer is a great response and makes me stand by my original review that this business is one to avoid.

They probably shouldn't let you address customer concerns as most would apologize and say this is why you were treated poorly instead of having a hostile reply to a customer concern. NICE!

Super friendly and fast response. Micah's wife reached and was able to suggest some options I could do myself to fix the problem - which I did and it worked! This is wonderful service, putting people before profit. While her advice was free I plan to use Micah should I have a need arise that I can't do myself. Thank you and God Bless!

During the February 2021 freeze in Texas, it was almost impossible to get a plumber to repair a broken pipe and get my water back on. It took me 8 days without water and calls to at least 12 plumbers before I found Micah's. Even though they were working insanely long hours and were fully booked for days in advance, they came out late at night and got my water back on. They identified the cause of the leak as the result of some years earlier plumbing work that had been done incorrectly by the builder, so they did a temporary fix and promised to come back and reconfigure the pipeline and do the job right next week when things aren't so out-of-control in Texas. I am so grateful to have running water again, and be able to take a shower and flush toilets and wash dishes and clothes, etc.! I will be calling on Micah's for future plumbing work and highly recommend them.

Everything said in the previous reviews are true!! Micah and Jennifer are awesome! They were responsive, hard working and so down to earth, but I find their honesty in the way they conduct their business is what I appreciate the most. We are customers for life.

I recently had exemplary service from Micah's Honest Plumbing. I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service and -- most of all -- with the quality of the work. We had a slab leak and had already spoken with another plumber about options, but I wasn't confident I was being dealt with honestly. I left a msg for Micah late on a Friday afternoon, and his wife immediately called us back -- from the car -- while their family was traveling on vacation! She asked questions and relayed them to Micah while he was driving, requested photos and information to help them understand the extent of our issues here, and was able to reassure us that we'd be handled as soon as they returned. They then rented a camera to ensure that they were not bidding on this job without understanding the full scope of the issue, which is more than I can say for the other company we initially dealt with. They took care to share the camera views with us, drew diagrams to help us understand what work they would be performing, and they discussed the variables we were facing in great detail. They performed the work immediately, keeping us informed at every stage. Their excavators arrived the next day and were speedy and polite and so tidy! When they covered up the hole after the job was done they even spread fresh mulch so you couldn't even tell they had been there. I felt like Micah did exactly what was required at a fair and reasonable price, without "padding" his bill or his time with a bunch of fear-mongering extras the way the big franchise-owned plumbers often do. Truly I just felt like this small, family-owned business took excellent care of our plumbing, our property, and our budget. I can't recommend them highly enough, and they will be my first phone call the next time I need plumbing work of any kind. Contact them today -- you'll be glad you did!

I hate to be negative to a family man, but... he's good, nice, and competitively priced. However, if you need a plumber for a specific time/day, he can't always deliver. Since he's a one-man-band, he can't please the next customer waiting which isnt good if you're the one waiting... and waiting...and waiting... for a day or two.

Extremely prompt! We are off to a really good start. The idea of a hot shower is exciting! Being able to wash dishes is another thing I'm looking forward to getting done. I know dishes. Didn't realize how important running HOT water was till I had to start camping inside my own house.

I went 5 days without hot water and was having to boil water on the stove top. What a pain in the butt!I'm super stoked we got Michah's to replace the unit. He works a tag team operation, with his wife setting up the appointments. He's cheaper then the other 4 businesses we contacted for bids.

He had the old unit drained, removed, and the new unit in, in 2 hours. That's skill. Michahs extremely transparent. That's awesome about a business. Ultimately, I have a great water heater, I can take hot showers and finally wash some dishes!

He doesn't use business cards. He's all by word of mouth. Micah's really is built on honesty. I highly recommend this business.

We have used Micah's Honest Plumbing several times. Last week the water heater went out and Micah was out the next day to fix it. We were given a quote over the phone but he gave us a discount because he didn't have to replace the water lines. Larger companies would not have done that. Highly recommend Micah's!

Micah came by and cleared up a blockage in our guest bathroom sinks today. He had to go through our attic to access the AC vent that was causing the backup so it wasn't particularly simple but he got it done without issue. He did a great job, worked efficiently and charged a very fair price. Another large company gave me a quote for almost 6 times as much for the same work (plus an extra trip charge) but luckily Micah's wife, Jennifer, got in touch with me before I committed to that job. I urge people to give Micah's Honest Plumbing a try when you're having plumbing problems! Thanks again!
