Called MSP because I see their vans all over my neighborhood. I needed a very simple evaluation of a gas installation in order to get teco to connect a new service. I explained this to them very carefully over the phone and asked them how much it would be. They quoted me $150 for the first hour and $95 each additional hour. No problem this should take less than 30 minutes I thought. When the plumber arrived I spoke to him for about five minutes after which he hands me his phone and his boss tells me it's $495 to do what I wanted. I told him that was unreasonable and the guy left. This morning I receive a call from MSP and they tell me I owe them $150 for the estimate!!! No work was ever performed and I clearly stated what I needed prior to them coming out. I wish I would have read these reviews before calling them. At least it got me to open a Yelp account. Stay away.

After having an emergency, I couldn't get any other company to send out a plumber. When calling Miami Shores Plumbing, they managed to have someone over within no time. I'm very happy with the service received and I highly recommend them.

Said it would be $250 for the first hour for a weekend service call. Normally that would have been high, but, on the weekend I agreed. When presented with the bill for 1 hour's work, it was $295. I asked why the extra amount and the guy said the hourly rate starts from when he arrives and ends when he finishes writing the bill. So, I was charged a full extra half hour because it took him ten minutes to write the invoice and he said he was there for an hour and ten minutes. I will not be using their services again.

Can't speak highly enough about this outfit. They did a major, major job for us some years ago that involved excavating the house and replacing sagging pipes. I recently called them again over a leaking toilet and a kitchen faucet. They came, they told me what was needed, they did the work, they fixed some other issues while they were at it, and they cleaned up after themselves. The bill was what was bid - no surprises - and very reasonable.

I explained the problem in detail and was given a quote that I agreed to... Took about 30 minutes to solve the problem, but instead of a $175 bill I wsa presented one for $295... Plumber told me that was what the office said to charge... When I called the office I was told it was because of the second hour involved... to which I laughed and told him to check his records... that I had called at 3:30 asking where was my 2:30 appointment, and it was now only 4pm... Basically, lied to me, and attempted to cheat me... I refused to pay anything but the estimate.. And now I find myself with the same problem, just like one of the other reviewers...

0. these cheats did unnecessary repairs at prices inflated way beyond their quotes and i hope they get more of their equipment stolen, so they do not wreak havoc on other customers!

I just used MSP again today, after a break. I tried my hardest to find another reliable plumber (since MSP is so expensive), and after several frustrating missed appointments, confusion over appointments and outright rudeness on a call, I called MSP again, and they sent someone the same morning (I had been trying for a week with another plumber) and fixed the problem and two others, gave me a little break on the price, though it wasn't cheap, and once again did the job right. The truth is that you get what you pay for, and I have used them several times for several problems and never had to have anyone come back. It just hurt when the invoice came! They just priced a water heater installation and new plumbing (it had been ripped out) for a pretty high price, so I am forced to consider alternatives, but to be honest, I think I would rather have them do it than another joker, close up the wall again, and then find leaks six months later. I have found them courteous and professional, and maybe that is what we pay that extra for!

As soon as i called MSP they had Good and fair prices. It was Monday night and I needed a plumber right away to come to my residence with an hour they were at my house. They provided me with a quote before starting the job was even started it was a great experience with them. The work was fast and will done and my issue was resolved & complete I would DEFINITELY recommend!! for all Plumber needs.

Sunday Finally came and after having a long rough day as I'm home ready to sleep it was about 1:30 AM when i heard the toilet bubbling and ran to the bathroom. I came in to find the toilet backing up and water overflowing from it. I called Miami Shores Plumbing on Sunday September 22, and they were at my house within an hour to take care of the Problem, the plumber was very nice and professional. After he fixed the toilet he cleaned up after himself. I was very happy with the response time and from now on i will use Miami shores plumbing for all my plumbing NEEDS!.

LANDLORDS I used MSP services yesterday to replace a kitchen faucet. Smooth no problems in the job. Kenneth was the installer. He is skilled and did a very professional job and replaced the faucet within an hour tops. I have used their services in the past a few times for one of my rentals, and Ari was also very professional in his work. After using their services in the past, I felt confident in using their services again. Unfortunately, I did not check their rates or any of the messages boards. I was a little confused when the plumber did not have a faucet on his plumbing truck for an appointment to fix or replace a faucet. I live downtown and parking is tight and not cheap. When he told me he would have to go get one, I was annoyed, but I certainly did not expect to be billed for neglecting to come to a job prepared. My kitchen faucet job cost me 400 bucks.
