Thank you to Nate who was able to identify a leak in my AC System that another company was unable (or unwilling) to pinpoint in order to attempt to charge me high cost for refrigerant. My HVAC contractor informed me that my AC unit needed to be replaced which would cost me thousands of dollars. I decided to get a second opinion. I looked at several reviews and the one I was really impressed with was Metro Services HVAC and a Technician by the name of Nate. I contacted them and they sent Nate out to my residence on 5/9/23. He ran a thorough check of my AC system and informed me that the system was functioning fine and did not need to be replaced. he said there was a freon leak which was very slow. He added freon and said on occasion freon would have to be added. Still no reason to replace the unit. Nate took the time to explain to me how the entire system functioned which I had no idea. He is extremely knowledgeable with regards to HVAC systems and functions. He also has a great personality. On 5/24/23 Metro dispatched Mike for a follow up visit and he replaced an ultra violet light bulb and did a thorough cleaning of the AC unit which is located in the attic. In spite of the heat and cramped conditions Frank was very patient and thorough as he did a fantastic job cleaning a dirty system. He had a great personality and was easy to communicate with which is indicative of the two employees Metro Services sent to my rescue. They came to our house in a short time the same day we called them, had our thermostat fixed also, in a short time. Will call them again if anything goes wrong.
Catalina M.It's time to part ways with Metro Services HVAC after over 3 years of services. Their services were fine (though there was one guy who was great). I used them to service the systems 2 a year, but their informality and disrespect to my time was too much. They were usually late but I put up with it but the last 2 times within one week were just too much. There was always someone more important and more urgent, and if at least they would call me to give me a heads up I may have let it go but they didn't. Though they did apologize, they are now one customer down.
They are the best. Another company looked at my unit and told me I needed to buy a whole new unit, Metro HVAC system told me my unit was completely okay and and repaired the issue quickly and cheaply. They saved me $6,0000. They are considerate, kind, helpful, and good at what they do. I have had two technicians come to my apartment and both of them were great. They are very knowledgable. They don't try to up-sell and only charge what you need. I trust them. I would recommend them to anyone.
Nancy M.On Christmas Eve I woke up to a freezing house! My less than 1 year old furnace was not firing up. I tried calling the company that installed my new unit to no avail. I also tried numerous other companies before coming across Metro Services HVAC. Within a few minutes I was connected with Nate. I explained my issue and he said he knew what the problem could be. Although he was booked for the day he promised he would fit me into the schedule and he did just that. Upon his arrival he quickly diagnosed the issue which had to do with the water pump connected to the furnace. He worked diligently to fix the problem and got the heat running again in my freezing house. It's obvious that Nate is a seasoned professional and has the experience to fix HVAC issues. He was honest and we felt the pricing was fair. He literally saved Christmas for us! Than you Nate!!
I contacted Metro Services after another company was unreliable and unable to fix my heating issue. Enter Nate. Nate from Metro Services was at my house for several hours on a weekend and methodically checked every component in my system in order to troubleshoot the system actually identify the issue. I was shocked by how pleasant and professional Nate was after dealing with the other company. Metro Services has my business going forward, all because of Nate!
Just reiterating how impressed I was with the customer service from Metro Services HVAC. Called them out because I was having circulation issues with my heating. The supervisor came out, arrived on time, and really took the time to analyze the issue. Rather than try to sell me unnecessary services, he recommended that I speak with my initial HVAC installer and offered to be on the call to explain the issue so I could get the problem solved more affordably. I was completely blown away and would recommend this company to anyone.
Nate was recommended by a friend so I asked for an estimate for a new electric gas valve (which I already had a strong suspicion was the problem with our 16-year old Carrier furnace). After a quick conversation regarding the symptoms he agreed it was likely the problem. After relaying the model no. to him he was able to locate a new valve for our furnace. He beat out two other repair estimates from five other HVAC companies (three of which after a week never provided an estimate). He arrived at the scheduled time, was totally Covid-19 correct (including wearing little disposable footies!) and proceeded to expertly replace the valve demonstrating his twenty years of HVAC experience. And his final charge was his estimate (as oppose to some outfits that charge $40/15 mins extra if they struggle with a repair). Despite its age no attempt made to upsell to a new furnace. I understand that time will come but for now thanks to Nate I'm ready for 'ol man Winter!
