We just used Metro Rooter for a pipe repair at one of our rental homes. They charged us a ridiculous price of $750 to cut out a 2' section of 3/4"""" polybutylene pipe and used 3 shark bites to connect new to existing. We'll never use this company again.

Terrible service!! Can't be trusted to complete the job they were paid to do!! Last year prior to buying a home, I had metro come out to inspect and empty the tank. This year I start having issues, and over $600 dollars later I find out they never emptied the solid tank. I call manager multiple times, and never receive a return call. I'm offered $50 off this last bill which was mostly labor, due to their poor job the first time!!! Extremely poor service!! Unacceptable!!

They have been the most reliable pumping service for as long as we've lived in our home. We called other companies but Metro-Rooter was the only one to answer the phone. Krystal was so sweet and told us if we didn't anyone to come out, to call them back. After no one answered or called us, we called Metro-Rooter back and Krystal made sure we were on the schedule. She tried to get us on their Sunday schedule but they were booked. They gave us a window of arrival on Monday and they came within that window. They are definitely a reliable company. I like so support smaller businesses but if they don't call you back, then they won't get my business. The gentleman who pumped our septic tank was so nice and professional.

Called Metro Rooter to clear out my septic tank on a Saturday morning expecting to have an appointment days later. They sent a truck straight out and had everything pumped out by 10 am! The service specialist George was polite, friendly, and very professional. Price was right. All in all a very good experience considering.

Just had Metro-Rooter come by and inspect my septic system since I found water (real smelly) running out of my drainfield. This is not good. Kyle came out and dug up parts of my septic and indicated I have problems. Bad drainfield. We discussed options - most of them expensive. Kyle suggested some possibilities to explore and was quite helpful. You should see the number of positive reviews on Google for these guys. I was not disappointed. We shall see where I go from here. Maybe I'll have to pee in the bushes!

Been doing business with Metro Rooter for 13 years thru 3 companies. They used to be top notch & unmatched. The past year has seen them dwindle off. The Customer Service has gone away. I feel that they think they are doing me a favor by servicing my commercial buildings. I know them and have spoken with each of them over the years and have to say my last conversation with John the Service Manager has left me cold. I have been waiting a week for a repair to a hot water heater. Was told the parts were overnighted. Saturday the plumber working on my water heater told me """"he could not repair it"""". Now here I am going to work tomorrow morning in a medical office building a week later having to explain to Drs and medical staff that we still do not have hot water. John I hope you learn to treat your customers with a little more respect. Especially a customer of 13 years.

Metro Rooter was suggested by our real estate agent as the cheapest way to inspect a septic system at a house we were considering purchasing. Long story short, the experience was horrible. On the day of inspection the inspector told our agent and the homeowner that there were only a couple small issues and that the system passed inspection. The homeowner agreed to fix the issues and sale went into contract based on that verbal report. Then, for two weeks or so our agent could not get in touch with anyone to get a copy of the report. Then one day I get a call from our agent telling me she finally got the report, that it said the septic had to be completely replaced to tune of about 10k and the homeowner was getting ready to cancel the pending sale. This amounted to alot of STRESS on our part. As we couldn't trust this report, based on the huge disparity between verbal and written report, we were forced to hire another company for another report. Low and behold this report came back in 24 hrs and confirmed that, besides the minor issues noted in Metro Rooters report, which had already been fixed the septic system was fine. We have been living in this house for months now and no issues. My firm belief is that either there was a complete breakdown in the inspection process or Metro was trying to drum up business by saying we needed new tank and field. Either way, this situation caused much stress and cost me an additional 475.00 by hiring a separate company. I would not under any circumstances hire this company for any business, especially inspection of septic fields.

I'm a fool . . . hee-hee! April 21. Our commode was not always refilling after being flushed. Sometimes it did, sometimes it didn't. It had something to do with the flotation device within the tank. As a member of our family was having a birthday on the 23rd, I was concerned because guests were coming over, and at least one was spending the night. We called three plumbing companies that we had used before, but none was available. We called Metro Rooter. They sent someone over within a couple of hours. (Have you ever had misgivings when speaking to a repair man whom you've never met?) I showed him the problem and mentioned that we also had a leaking faucet in our other toilet. His labor quote was over $200.00 (I forget the exact amount). I also mentioned that the toilet that was not always flushing and needed to be plunged. He added an additional $75.00 to the $200.00 + for snaking the commode. After he had finished in the first bathroom, he told me that he could not repair the faucet in the second bathroom and that I needed to buy a new faucet. I said I would. He told me to let him know when I had purchased the faucet. He left after approximately forty-five minutes of his arrival. He had not billed me at this point. I went to Lowes and purchased an on-sale Pfister for approximately $120.00. When I came back home, I used the toilet that he had repaired, and the lever became stuck, which caused the commode to continue to run. I manually dealt with it and made note to inform the repairman. When the repairman came to install the faucet, I told him about the lever becoming stuck. He responded, """"You should have told me before."""" I told him, truthfully, that it hadn't happened before. He said it needed replacement parts to the lever, which he had in his truck. He installed the new parts. Then he installed the faucet. Total cost $393.25. Let me repeat that: $393.25. I paid while reprimanding myself for my foolishness. This is not over: Within five days of the service, I'm plunging the toilet. I get that . . . I'm a fool. Within seven days of the service, it's discovered that the sink is leaking. It appears to be the drain of the newly installed faucet. We remove everything from under the sink and call Metro Rooter. We asked for a different repair man to be sent. We are told -- led to believe -- that it will be repaired without charge. The new repair man arrives, examines the sink and says that the faucet is probably faulty, and that Metro Rooter is not the source of the warranty. I needed to return the faucet to Lowes and exchange it for a new one, which would be installed for $135.00. I said goodbye. (I still hoped Metro Rooter would reconsider, which is why this review may seem late.) The sink still drips. The toilet still must be plunged. We are saving for a different plumbing company to perform the repairs. I was a fool . . .

Called to asked for a Quote on a repipe job and he shows up late then, quotes me double what everyone else in town quoted, then drops an """"Inspection Fee"""" on me for his time. I didn't need an inspection, I needed to know how much a repipe costs. Bunch of Crooks!!!

I am not at all pleased with the service I was told on Monday they would be out Monday afternoon or the latest Tuesday morning I called them Tuesday at 10am after not hearing from them back on Monday they said we were next . I then called around 2pm on Tuesday and we were next on the list still they arrived around 3pm and snaked the toilet and charged 99.00 very high for service I thought I would try them as they are locally owned and operated and I like to keep my money and business in Jacksonville maybe they are great for commercial where the money is but not residential . ill go with the bigger names next time. they were their a total of 10 minutes. They also had testimonials on their website but no place for reviews not cool.
