We had a plumbing issue with hot water running constantly in our bathtub. McAtee sent a tech, Coleman, why analyzed the problem, told me what it could be and went through different scenarios and what the possible solutions would be. Then he started actual work, pinpointed the problem, fixed it, and made sure there were no other problems that might have been hidden. Job done. The work was quick and very professional. I highly recommend McAtee. We have used their services in the past, and they have always been top notch. Their techs are the best.
This company started good, and courteous. I had a furnace installed on 10/23/23. Everything stated good and then this month, I had a issue so I called them out. They sent someone out, he was very courteous. I stated to him that it was under warranty, it was not even a year old. He put the work order in and when it came time to honor it, they told my I had to pay the service call and repair of the part. What happended to first year everything was covered. No then they had the nerve to get upset me with and cancel the work order. Told me I was asking for to much. It's not even a year old. The could've atleast covered it especially since I only had it under a year. I would not call this company.
They were very unprofessional, not knowledgeable, didn't even have the right tools for the job and not to mention the supervisor I spoke with was very rude and spoke very poorly about my home warranty company as if there customers didn't even matter, I called for a simple small water leak under my basement sink and in return they almost flooded my basement and dug up the front my lawn trying to find the clean out drain which was already labeled, I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy, absolutely terrible experience, I don't even know how there in business and by the way, this is my very first time leaving a review for anything, that's how terrible my experience was, please go with a reputable company, they won't fix your problem, they'll only make it worst!!!!!!!!
Efficient and very honest After testing heexplained how my water line leak was on the city's side even though the city had said it was on my side.
My Home warranty company sent McAtee to my house to follow up on an
exterior water leak. Bradley did an EXCELLENT job and took his time
to diagnose the issue and test for a leak in several ways....checking psi in
several places, and also looking for excess water as we supposedly were
losing 21 to 29 gal.s per hour!!! He determined it must be a faulty meter, and
provided documentation to take to the county and advised me what steps to
take.
I had a previous company to come out and they jumped quickly to saying I needed a new line at a BIG expense!
Bradley listened to my concerns and patiently answered my questions and showed me step by step how he was diagnosing the issue before concluding it was the meter. I would use Bradley and McAtee again.
The first person they sent to fix my heating system, removed the WiFi connected thermostat and he installed a thermostat that was not WiFi enabled. I told him I needed one that was WiFi connected. He was visibly, extremely annoyed. After a lot of drama, He went to get one that was, and installed it. A couple of hours after he left, the heater started blowing cold air and I couldn't turn the unit off. I called the company and they couldn't send anyone the following day but had availability for the day after. My unit ran constantly for two days, blowing cold air and I had to buy extra heaters to stay warm. Finally, two days later, a competent person came and finally, fixed the problem, which was the way the original guy installed the thermostat. I complained to the the company about the exorbitant cost of their incompetent original technician on my finances and they wanted me to put in another service call with HomeServe so they can come see what the problem was. At this point, the problem was fixed by the second technician so there was no problem to fix. They just wanted to charge for another service call. Because of their incompetent technician, my light bill will be extremely high and the company has done nothing to reassure me that they will be willing to help with THIS problem but want me to place another service call so they can make more money for a problem that was corrected by the second technician. Make this make sense!!!!!!! I will be telling HomeServe not to send this company to my house for any future service calls because they are not reliable and do not stand behind their work. After this review, the business blamed me for using additional heating sources for the spike in power usage but the fact that the unit was constantly running, blowing cold air and I couldn't turn it off, was not a factor. I suppose they expected me to freeze until they could get to me to fix their screw up. Besides, the heating and cooling has a rating of 2.9. Very reassuring.
Kathy S.McAtee has left my senior father in a dangerous situation. They refuse to repair his yard and sidewalk they jackhammered. They dislodged the step. Passing blame on Home Serve and Baltimore City. All three are at fault for leaving my 83 without senior services because they can't get to the front door.
I want to give this Company a 0 My heat went out and I called my home owners Insurance, The use this company. OMG
No No and I mean no Communication. I am 79 years old They came just before Thanksgiving to check why the heat is not working, so then they found the problem and order the piece.oOkay they did not call and set up A Appointment I had to call them to find out when is the part coming in
The lady that I finally got in touch with after calling for 2 days left messages they don't call back. Then she tells appointment is Dec 4th so the technician comes back out and still can't fix the heat. He says it's the bugs so he order another part so still no heat then. The technician calls and says before he could come back I have to call a exterminator. Well A exterminator was out her to service on Nov 21 and again to today Dec 6 2023 okay technician tells he will send there email address no one has sent anything so how do I send proof worse company ever Do not use this company no communication what's so ever Still no heat for One month now.
McAtee Plumbing (404-618-5450) worked on my water line at least ten times over the past three years. Contracted through HomeServe's $7.99 monthly plan, I would not recommend these companies.
Cynthia P.I was appointed this business from my service warranty company, and I DO NOT recommend this company in Georgia! I needed my drain snaked due to a sewer backup. They came out, looked at the drain, and then left, saying they were going to get another snake but never came back. After completing to the warranty company, they insisted on sending THEM out AGAIN only for them to push their arrival back 3 times in one day. Not only are they fired, but the home warranty company is fired as well. Bad business! I will be rating my home warranty company NEXT! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL! BEWARE
