In 2017, when Mauzy installed my Lennox HVAC system, which they strongly recommended, Lennox was under fire (recalls, lawsuits) for defective evaporator coils. It was an industry scandal, and Mauzy had to know it. When my system started breaking down after a few years, Mauzy technicians kept finding refrigerant leaks but ""couldn't pinpoint the problem."" Gee, did they think to check the evaporator coil? If they had, I'd still be under warranty.

My new HVAC company quickly found the problem, and it's going to cost me $2K or more to replace the coil. As Mauzy's recent Yelp reviews indicate, this company is in free fall. I was an idiot for blindly trusting them. They are super-nice during installation. Just pray you don't have problems later on.

Mauzy installed our Lennox HVAC about 7 years ago. It works wonderfully. They also installed our solar panels. Working with them for those 2 items was wonderful. Two years ago they were a part of a Leveraged Buyout.

Today we had our thermostat replaced by Mauzy. Luis, who did the actual work, was terrific. He was efficient, thorough, patient, polite, likable and capable. The people at Mauzy are amazing.

The thermostat, with a 10 year warranty, installed, was in excess of $2000. No other brand/model could be used with our system. That's $200/year to have a functioning thermostat! (We were never told that our original thermostat would only last for 5 or 6 years, nor that the replacement would be outrageously expensive.)

I think Mauzy is suffering some serious growing pains. I understand they were purchased in an LBO, and they have merged with Sherlock Plumbing, Heating & Air. They are also doing work for Costco. They appear to be short handed where field service people are concerned. Our HVAC tune-up scheduled for mid-July has been put on hold until sometime this fall so their techs can do work for people whose AC is not functioning. I understand that, but they clearly need more people.

To wrap this up: 1) Ask lots of questions if you're considering a Lennox system. 2) I share Matt J's opinion about the ""Smart Membership"" Mauzy is offering. It sounds like membership is no guarantee of performance.

We bought a 50,000. Dollar system from them 2 1/2 yrs ago. We have had nothing but problems since. From loud noise, system calibrated wrong to total shut off during a heat wave. They refused to come out when the temperatures are in the 90's and we have no air conditioning. We have 2 big dogs that need a cool space. I would definitively choose a different company if you looking at replacing or putting in a new system. This company is not competent and they don't care if you melt!!!!

I selected their $39 HVAC ""Tune up"" offer from a postcard and after they needed to reschedule a few times, they came and inspected our working system. They seemed thorough, but I don't really know if anything important happened to ""tune things."" For this, I might give them 3 stars, but then they suggested $1620 to install surge protectors. I found the exact same parts on Amazon for $120, and it felt overly greedy for them to be charging $1500 to do a job that is reported to be around 15 min - of course marking things up and charging for service is perfectly acceptable but this number feels wildly unreasonable to me. This experience makes me feel uncomfortable trusting them to make honest and fair service recommendations.

Had a client who lives out of state use Mauzey for an HVAC replacement (about 21k). Unit works great, however the HOA had a real problem with the coil cover being left unpainTed- just sheet metal approximately 15 feet by 6-8 inches wide. Called Mauzey to see about having them come back to complete this 21k job by painting this eyesore, and they stated it looks completely normal, and that they would be happy to provide us with a painter referral so that we could get an estimate. What the heck?

Would give a 0 star. I purchased a $ 39 tune up special at Costco . I just purchased a house in January 2024 and it came with an old AC unit . I knew I would need to purchase a new one in a near future .
I was hoping to extend a life of old AC unit a little longer while we are getting quotes from different companies to replace a new one within a year or two.
Technician was here for three hours doing, who knows what. He did not do any cleaning or tune up . He's was going through a company's checklist to check everything. This is not what I signed up for because it's an old AC unit. I already had a home inspection done in January.

The next day , I got a email of multiple quotes from clearing a fault wiring , replacing motors and replacing new HVAC unit. I got quoted from $800 ( to clear fault wiring) to $30,000 ( to replace new HVAC). I felt at this point , I wouldn't be a valued customer. They are more focused on what they can sell.

Luckily , I had home warranty and they sent their HVAC technician out to troubleshoot the motors why it wouldn't start. It turned out that power circuit breaker to the AC unit was turned off the whole time. Also , they were able to clear the fault wiring because none of the wires were landed on the thermostat terminals.

Two minor fix for $150 which Mauzy HVAC technician is unable to do .

Mauzy has been amazing since day one of my full install. All the service tech that have came out have been very friendly and professional!
Today, I had Michael come out and conduct a routine diagnostics on my Lennox Thermostat. Michael was able to trouble shoot the problem and fix it. Michael was very professional and friendly! Michael made a couple suggestions and made this appointment go very smoothly!

I definitely recommend Mauzy !

Darren provided excellent customer service and awesome maintenance on our system. He took the time to answer questions and give our system top service. He explained products that will keep our system efficient. He is one of the reason we will continue with Mauzy. Darren rocks.
