I hired Mauro to replace the gasket and flange of a toilet (the toilet was loose) and to replace a 3rd floor bathtub gasket which was causing a leak through the 3rd floor ceiling to the 2nd floor. Mauro came as scheduled and completed the work within the time frame. Unfortunately the leak continued, however Mauro made himself available the next day to check it out again. Turns out it was an issue with the hot water knob for the tub and he took care of it (without charging extra). The cost was good for the quality of work. He stood by his work, came back to solve the new problem quickly, and was easy to work with. I respect that and will use him again for any plumbing issues.

Within 45 minutes of calling Mauro's Plumbing there was a plumber fixing my toilet. Turned out clog was in the pipe and not the commode so they simply removed the toilet and got to the clog that way. Took about 20 minutes in total and the price was very reasonable.

It's Thursday night after a long day at work. Came home to water and ""stuff"" coming up through the downstairs shower again. Those darn roots in the sewer line were at it again!! Called the plumber I've been using ...booked until Monday. Called his referral, also booked!! He, in turn, said Mauro's Plumbing had great reviews on Yelp. Called Mauro this morning, who responded immediately. I described my problem, was at my house within 30 minutes, took care of the problem with his assistant. Done!! Courteous, on time, competent and price was absolutely reasonable. This is what service is supposed to be like. Fantastic...will refer to all my El Cerrito neighbors!!

Long story short, Mauro and Mohammad showed up in my house, spent 3 hours (not a minute less) found out the problem with the camera, ran the snake at least 8 times to clear out the blockage (double checked with camera). And charged me only for the camera and refused my tip. Then gave me a DVD record free of charge ( the first movie of my house, LOL)

They are simply awesome.

Btw, I am in the planning/architecture business and have basic knowledge of the pipes, the problems I had in the house was not simple, it take skills to deal with.

Mauro did a great job! My basement sink overflowed with brown water and flooded the basement. Mauro showed up 30 minutes after I called and fixed the big problem within an hour. While he was here he also fixed a running toilet, a slow sink drain and a drippy faucet. Total damage, just over $100.

Best reliable, honest, and efficient person we have ever met.... He came to our house to unclog a drain in the bathroom ... Before that my husband tried to fix the problem himself but couldn't and I call Mauro and he got to our house even before his schedule time wish we really appreciate and got to work right away ... He told my husband that whatever he had done before him had clear the clog and that we didn't need to pay him but that if we wanted to ensure that everything was clear he could run his tools thru the drain and we opted to to that, have him check everything and on top of that he installed the toilet my husband had removed the day before....I really recommend him.... I highly recommend Mauro's services. He and his assistant had to come out to our house twice for a problem that was connected to our sewer line. We found out that we have to contend with the bigger issue of a sewer lateral replacement (darn those clay pipes!), but Mauro gave us some sound advice and was able to get our plumbing temporarily running until we get the big job done. Service was great and Amy was a pleasure to work with. She always kept us apprised of their timing.

OMG! I agree with the others. This guy is AWESOME!!!! We were so expecting an expensive, depressing experience. But I'm happy to say the opposite. Mauro came when he said he would - on a Saturday. He took care of replacing a thermal coupler on our water heater, fixed a broken pipe under our one story house and cleared out blockage in our pipes. All in one hour. He used his time efficiently and was nice to be around. The pricing left us with a grin on our faces, as we were expecting so much worse. Will be recommending him to everyone I see. A+ indeed.
