My Home Warranty people sent them. The Technician from "Master Tech Service" showed me a picture of mold and said I had "an unidentified biological growth" in the intake box and that I would have to have somebody do remediation for about $9000 OR he could replace all that for me for about the same cost. He reminded me several times that if I had to have mold remediation (he made a point of saying he was not allowed to call it mold) I would have to disclose that if I later sold the house. He also said the home warranty company would pay only $1800 of those costs. He then recommended I replace my 8 year old unit since the life expectancy of a unit is only about 10 years, and gave me an estimate of $13,000. I told him I needed to discuss it with family and he said "No pressure, but I have to report this to your home warranty company by the end of the day." My son-in-law called another contractor, who came out within 3 hours and informed me I had no biological growth at all. Obviosly trying to deceive a single woman.

If it allowed no stars I would choose that. Master Tech Service came to my house to fix my AC. It was not cooling properly. They told me they could not fix it because there was mold in the drip pan. Said I could do remediation (which he advised against) or I could get a new unit for $14,000. I called another service company and they told me the bearings were going out on the fan. They replaced the fan motor and no I have cool air. No mold. Master Tech tried to take advantage of me (a widow) and my two children. Shame on you.

I was very pleased with the installation of our new hvac unit. All the technicians were courteous and worked hard to get it all done in one day. Even when they damaged some dry wall in the attic during installation, they had someone out first thing next morning to make the repairs. Overall, I would recommend their services in the future.

For the second year in a row, we have had a horrible experience with Master Tech in clearing out our condensation line. Edward is the one who has always come out when we need service, and to say I am less than impressed is putting it lightly. For the second year in a row, our condensation line has clogged, Edward has come out, told us its a sewage issue and a plumber needs to come out. WRONG WRONG WRONG. All he has to do is clear the condensation line that runs under our house- it is not a sewage line. Last year this happened, we had a plumber come out and he vehemently said the HVAC company should have fixed the problem, yet he cleared the line. Same issue happened today and Edward lied to my face saying this is a sewage issue. HE. IS. LAZY. We will never be working with Master Tech again. We have already called and voided the check for having Edward come lie to us. DONE DONE DONE. I wrote a review like this last year, and the new owner contacted me and apologized and paid for the cost of the plumber which I greatly appreciated. However, after today's experience, I will not be deleting this review.

The tech left me and my children in triple digit heat with an indoor temperature of 80 degrees. He refused to work on the outdoor unit because the furnace MIGHT have some mold spores. He did offer to replace the furnace for $17,000 plus. Or I could call a mold remediation company and spend $6,000-$25,000 for mold remediation and then he'd come work on it. What man, if you can call him that, leaves a mom and her children in this heat and just walks out without a care in the world?? He didn't even need to work on the indoor unit. The tech also misdiagnosed the problem. We called another AC repairman and he diagnosed the capacitor on the outside unit as being bad and quickly changed it. We will NEVER call Master Tech Services and I would never recommend them to anyone!!

Do not use this company! If your home warranty assigns a technician ask them to re-assign immediately! We had not had any major issues with First American home warranty for over a decade. Filed claims here and there, nothing like this experience -EVER. The Master Tech technician that went to one of our home walked in and walked out in less than 7 minutes. Tech told the tenants to clean the coils and he would be back! Tenants didn't know what they were to clean, called us the landlords and I said I've never cleaned a coil either. All HVAC work that has been needed to complete a job has been done by technicians - first time a technician asks us to do his work, or part of his work. Very disappointed with an inexperienced technician and absolute lack of professionalism!!
I feel sorry for Melissa the girl taking calls as she was trying to help and of course she's only the messenger. I've filed an official complaint with First American. Horrible experience to date!!

My Ac stopped working, so through my warranty company Master tech came out and did not fix it. The fan motor blower outside burned up. So they wanted to inspect my Air handler inside. After opening they took pictures and cited they could not work on my unit. But they will replace it for 14k and saving me money :-(
Since when does the ac compressor outside have anything to do with inside the house. This company works on loop holes so they will not have to repair it.
I called a third party and got it fixed that day, they did not even need to look at the air handler.
The techs name you ask? Ryan Crawford.
The warranty company that said there is nothing they can do from India
First american warranty. Nothing American about this BS

good luck people and do not call these guys.

We had what are their service technicians come to our home that we are We are training they work through a warranty company through landlord they replaced the faucet and said that we had missed used the false it by force which is completely absurd and false. After doing research but the glacier Bay file set today have they have hundreds and hundreds of complaints through The Home Depot about this it is so badd that they no longer carry this product and offer I full refund they did not do any due diligence on this other than to blame us which we have been perfect tenant for over 4 years. I am senior construction superintendent for a large general contractor and has asked local inspectors 3rd party inspectors and to master plumbers and all agree with the complaints on home depot that this is a defective faucet but yet they charge us astern Ahmed khel of a mountain every place is $68 faucet with a $200 faucet.
And after checking that Better Business Bureau they have several complaints that are relative to this.

I have used them for both AC and Plumbing issues. Both times they were prompt with being on time when they said they would be there. Technician was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. Office staff went above and beyond to get someone out ASAP. Highly recommend them.

We have dealt with Master Tech through our home warranty company for an air conditioner that is leaking coolant. They know it's leaking - we know it's leaking. But they just topped it off and said, "look, it's working again, our job is done".

Of course, in six months, when we actually need the A/C, the coolant will have dissipated (and, conveniently, our home warranty will have expired). They have been totally dishonest from start to finish and I will never use them again.
