This company is incompetent. Do NOT use them. The tech arrived two days, yes, two days late. He showed up late at night and said he was tired. He rushed through the evaluation and didn't even check the inside unit for the correct parts to order (probably because he would have to get in the attic). It took them more than five days to order the parts and, as of now, it's been an additional nine days and still no parts. They do not return phone calls and when you call to check the status they are rude and the woman screamed at me. We were told because we have a home warranty policy we were at the bottom of the list, "because we don't make any money off of you." He then told us we needed all of these unnecessary extras to the tune of $990.00. If you don't make any money then stop taking the claims. Worst company I've ever dealt with, hands down. If I could give them a -10 rating I would. Three weeks with no AC in July....Yippey A report will be filed with the Better Business Bureau. Better luck to the next person.

Full disclosure:we did not have service done under a home warranty. After we became financially stable enough to not need the "cash management" provided by a home warranty, we have done without for 10+ years. For this encounter, learning we needed a new a/c unit from an independent service technician we use, we first researched what brand of unit to buy based on Consumer Reports. We decide on American Standard, Then my husband called around the area and found Master Tech could install next day (no waiting 5-7 days for a home warranty service call--been there, done that.) The technicians arrived in the time window, replaced our unit, inside and out, cleaned up, and left. I'm not giving five stars because in the process, they disconnected the electricity to the other A/c unit ( we have two for a two-story home.) Once we figured that issue out, all is good--new unit works great --this work done in May but now that we are in HOT 2nd half of summer, finding out that the house does not get 6-8 degrees warmer in afternoon than what thermostat is set at--blame that on the 40+ year old Lennox that was replaced. Overall, good experience with Master Tech.

Master Tech was sent out by my home warranty company to install a hot water heater. They provided a list of uncovered items/costs but didn't explain why the home warranty didn't cover them. When i contacted the warranty company, they indicated that there were a couple that they would likely cover but they can't get Master Tech to return their calls. They had left multiple voice mails, but never could reach a person on the phone. I also called Master Tech and had to leave a message. When they called me today to schedule the water heater install, they argued that they had received approval on the uncovered items twice from the home warranty company. In reality, they received approval to install the hot water heater, as the warranty doesn't "approve" uncovered items...the homeowner does. They said they are busy and will have their tech call the warranty company, but I don't expect that will occur, and they said at this point I need to contact the warranty company, which I have done. Then the lady said they were busy, can't schedule my install until it's worked out, and then hung up on me. They have done nothing to help resolve the issue and would not agree to get on the phone with the warranty company with me. I will NEVER use them again, and would not recommend them to anyone! Rude, rude people, take no responsibility, don't respond, and have literally no customer service attitude. If I could give them a "0" stars, I would.

This company was contracted through my home warranty and I had a horrible experience with them. The lady came to my house and was rude the second she walked into my house. She was there maybe 10 min and informed me I needed a new unit and that if I used my warranty I would have to wait 7 days but if I used them I could finance with no money down and no interest. I told her I would use my warranty and not pay anything, she then informed me that I would have to still pay out of pocket some money. I told her that I will not have to pay for it (how does she know what coverage I have and what I do not have) when I walked into the other room to get my packet which shows I will not have to pay anything she walked out of my house and got in her truck and drove off. I called the main office in Dallas and they did apologize for her attitude and said they would send someone else out to my house to make sure what she said was correct. She then informed me that I would have to wait another 24 hours before they could get someone out to my house. WAIT your tech left my house without doing her job and I have to wait another day to get someone out here???? I then called my home warranty and informed them of what happened and told them I DID NOT want them to EVER be contracted out to my house again. The warranty company called another LOCAL business and they made it out this afternoon and fixed my problem without having to replace the unit. I feel they were just wanting to make a sale and since she knew she was lying and if the warranty looked into it would also know she was lying about what was wrong. Why else would she just drive off without saying anything to me.

Don't bother wasting your time with this service company. When I had them come to my home and "repair" my malfunctioning AC system all they did was a cursory inspection and of course tell me that I needed an entirely new system. The tech spent the majority of his time here selling me on the benefits of a new system. Granted a new system would be nice but cooling is not a problem. Ours works fine in that regard. Sadly we were actually going to buy the system they recommended to the tune of $23,017 however they never followed up with us and they original problem was never addressed which causes us to believe they are less than reliable. In the mean time we are out the money for the service/repair call and still have the problem.

I am being very generous giving them a 1 star. They came to my house after being sent by First American Home Warranty. The tech (Edward) said that my evaporator coil needed to be replaced. He gave me a work list and left. I looked at the list and saw that he had a $350.00 charge to put a work platform around my unit. I called them right away and told them that I was going to do that work. I talked to them two more times and told them that I had completed that work platform. After a week they called me to tell me that it had to be done by a licensed contractor. I told them that it did not because carpentry does not require a license and besides that it is in my home and I can build whatever I want to. They refused to do the other work unless I paid them for the platform. so I canceled their service. I was going to ignore the fact that they were going to charge me for a drain pan that was already there and several other items that were not needed like a hanging kit for one. They could reuse the hangers that had worked just fine for many years. They just wanted to make the bill as high as possible. I have told First American that Master Tech is no longer allowed to come to my house.

Hired by AHS for plumbing warranty service. They cancelled my initial appointment window due to their tech having a "family emergency." They told me I could pay $140 dollars if I wanted to keep that time slot. The operator told me the tech would call when in route to my residence. The operator called when the tech was parked outside my house. I described the issue to the plumber upon arrival. The plumber tech knew my service request would not be covered based on my description of the issue, but demanded the $75 fee before visually inspecting the issue. After reluctantly paying, the plumber tech left to his truck to call AHS to notify them my service was not covered because he deemed it not normal wear and tear. The tech returned while I was on the phone with AHS trying to describe the cause of the issue. The plumber literally threw his card on the floor and walked out. He had zero interest in doing any actual work. Even for AHS, I am amazed they could find a business this terrible.

Customer service was so helpful. My AC went out they had someone out right away. They got my AC back on great people will be back again.

Very professional and fair priced. A complete A/C/system installed in one day, works perfectly.

This company was called out through American Home Shield home warranty. My complaint was one of my outside A/C units( I have 3 A/C units) was making a loud whining noise similar to a ceiling fan on low. They had Master Tech contact me and an appointment was set to come in 3 days. The technician came, he was told it was the one of the three that was making a loud distinguishable whining noise. He did not ask us to tell him for sure which one it was or to turn them on one at a time to determine which one was bad. He just went to work and in a few minutes came to the door and took us to the units and said he replaced a capacitor on one of the units (not the one making the noise and which was working fine). Then the bad unit came on (making the loud whining noise) so we told him that the one making the noise was the bad unit. He refused to work on the bad unit, saying that would be another service call and now Master Tech wants me to pay for work not needed on a unit that was not broken plus a second service call to work on the correct unit. I have called a reputable company to come and fix the fan on the bad unit. I would not recommend this company to anyone as I feel they are dishonest.
