My first time using Marti's Plumbing and I couldn't be more pleased. I'm in the process of preparing a townhouse for sale and have used several contractors for various jobs with mixed reviews. As I approached the final days of prepping the townhouse and handing the keys to my realtor I noticed water coming from under the kitchen sink.

I called Marti's Plumbing and they were over to my place in only about 20 minutes. Amazing. Daniel from Marti's was very polite and friendly and after a thorough inspection of the problem he gave me a quick no BS analysis and suggested what I felt to be a cost effective solution.

Daniel's no-nonsense approach was refreshing and he took care of the job in a neat and professional manner. In the end he left his work area cleaner than from when he started. Daniel's problem solving and professional approach saved me time and money and handled my plumbing issue like a pro. Thank you Marti's Plumbing!

Our Advice : STAY AWAY !! Could have given 0 stars if possible.

We had noticed that there was a wet patch in the ceiling in our 1st floor living room. The patch was below the toilet seat of our 2nd floor toilet. We wanted to get professional help, so after checking reviews on Yelp, my wife called up Marti's Plumbing. Marti's was prompt to send a plumber to do initial evaluation. After initial evaluation, the plumber told that it would cost $700 because the waste drain has a leak and need to be replaced. We wanted a permanent fix, so agreed to spend huge $$s to avoid long term pain.

On 09/07/2017, we were given window of 2 hours 9:00 am to 11:00 am to expect the plumber to arrive to start work. No sign till 11:00 am. Eventually the plumber (can't recall name) showed up at 12:15 pm. and started work.

He spent a few hours working in the restroom and then demanded $700 payment. Throughout work, we were in living room and didn't see any pipe being changed. We asked if the pipe was indeed replaced, and demanded to see the pipe that was removed from our toilet. The plumber went to his truck and brought a piece of pipe and told it is the pipe that he removed. That pipe had a dust layer in the inside walls of the pipe !!! It seemed that the pipe hasn't been used for months which is unlikely if it was removed from our toilet.

So, the plumber spent a few hours and just changed the gasket and demanded money for pipe change work that he didn't do. Rather than admitting that pipe change wasn't done, he tried to cheat his way by giving us a some old pipe claiming it was removed from our toilet.

Anyway, just to check if the leaking problem was solved, we flushed the toilet and found that it still leaks. So, a few hours were spent, lies were told and the problem isn't still solved.

My wife refused to pay the plumber. Later on Marti's called up for payment and we refused to pay until the problem is fixed. Why should we pay if nothing's been fixed ???

We had heard good reviews about Marti's and thinking that we encountered a rogue plumber, decided to give them second chance. Marti's have scheduled another plumber to be at our place on 9/11/2017. I will provide an updated review after this appointment.

We have used Marti's Plumbing several times, the latest being today. I really appreciate the exeptionally good quality of the service they provide and the excellent character of the men they sent to help us. They are fair with the price they charge and leave the area they work in clean and neat.

Just had a nightmare experience getting a tankless water heater installed. It took four days to complete the job... After the heater was first installed, two water leaks developed under the house. One leak sprayed water onto the house sub-floor for the whole night. I discovered it the next morning after I crawled into the crawlspace to see why a large puddle was forming under our house. There was also a significant gas leak on the hoses connected to the heater - fortunately it was installed outside, so our house didn't blow up! After the install began, we were informed of significant additional expenses. There were a number of other significant problems during the install (like the side of our house getting scorched from a blowtorch they used), but enough said. Perhaps Marti's has some good installers, but after this experience I would never use them again and certainly wouldn't recommend them.

This company is a joke they constantly were rescheduling me and when I called in to see where they were the office staff seemed confused. I'm not gonna throw names out cause the technician was young. But lacking experience. I will not be calling them back. If I can give them no stars I would.

As the saying goes, Plumbers only need to know two things: Poop flows downhill and payday's Friday.

Having replaced the kitchen faucet a couple of months ago, I guess I'm getting lazy in my old age.

I set up an appointment to find out why there is no cold water going to the tub/shower faucet that had been replaced in the house we just inherited.

After they failed to for the appointment and never bothered to call, I suspect that they may be the ones that did the original job.

Having been in the building trades as a carpenter for decades, I have done most common plumbing jobs like replace toilets, water heaters, and faucets. They are jobs that anyone with half a brain can figure out. How hard is running a snake to remove a clog?

Seems like the good reviews are all for these types of jobs. I guess a real plumbing job is too much for them to handle.

I have recently had another WONDERFUL experience dealing with Marti's Plumbing! I needed to have my old water heater removed and a new one installed. That work was done for me last week. Erica was the main plumber but was helped by Ed and another plumber during part of the installation. But the main plumber in charge was Erica. The plumbers were exactly on time, they brought all necessary tools, they worked extremely hard and were very diligent about doing this job correctly. It was a somewhat time-consuming job, but they never once complained and had a great attitude the entire time. Today, I called Marti's. A new refrigerator had been delivered to my kitchen, but the plumbing line connecting from under the sink to the new refrigerator icemaker needed some help/tweaking. Even though this was very peripheral to the work that Marti's had done, Erica was nice enough to return here, today, and to get the plumbing line connected from under the sink to the refrigerator so that the icemaker can now operate. I inquired if I should pay extra for this, but was told by Erica that it was OK, she would just consider it part of the original job. Wonderful people! Great work! I don't look forward, ever, to needing a plumber, but I am so glad that I know an excellent plumbing company that I can call when such help is needed!

Marty's has now saved us once.

The first time when we had a leak in the master bath coming from the base of the toilet. Was a major leak and required removal of the toilet.

No BS, fair price and quick work that day. MUCH better than some of the other plumbers we've had out.

Second time was from majorly shoddy work from Superior Plumbing. We found out we had a $800 water bill and that there had been a leak where Superior did work. Immediately called San Jose water to have them shut off water to the house from the street (was below main shut off line).

Ed from MArti's was here the next day and worked ALL DAY on one of the most difficult jobs I have ever seen. I know, because I was there all day to try and help any way I could.

What Superior couldn't do in weeks, Ed did in 1 day. Awesome job, thank you.

Ed Ramirez dealt with an early life failure in our water heater quickly & painlessly. Got parts lined up while I checked warranty and then picked up the parts late on his Friday night. Reasonable parts markup and fair prices.
