As the saying goes, Plumbers only need to know two things: Poop flows downhill and payday's Friday.

Having replaced the kitchen faucet a couple of months ago, I guess I'm getting lazy in my old age.

I set up an appointment to find out why there is no cold water going to the tub/shower faucet that had been replaced in the house we just inherited.

After they failed to for the appointment and never bothered to call, I suspect that they may be the ones that did the original job.

Having been in the building trades as a carpenter for decades, I have done most common plumbing jobs like replace toilets, water heaters, and faucets. They are jobs that anyone with half a brain can figure out. How hard is running a snake to remove a clog?

Seems like the good reviews are all for these types of jobs. I guess a real plumbing job is too much for them to handle.

I have recently had another WONDERFUL experience dealing with Marti's Plumbing! I needed to have my old water heater removed and a new one installed. That work was done for me last week. Erica was the main plumber but was helped by Ed and another plumber during part of the installation. But the main plumber in charge was Erica. The plumbers were exactly on time, they brought all necessary tools, they worked extremely hard and were very diligent about doing this job correctly. It was a somewhat time-consuming job, but they never once complained and had a great attitude the entire time. Today, I called Marti's. A new refrigerator had been delivered to my kitchen, but the plumbing line connecting from under the sink to the new refrigerator icemaker needed some help/tweaking. Even though this was very peripheral to the work that Marti's had done, Erica was nice enough to return here, today, and to get the plumbing line connected from under the sink to the refrigerator so that the icemaker can now operate. I inquired if I should pay extra for this, but was told by Erica that it was OK, she would just consider it part of the original job. Wonderful people! Great work! I don't look forward, ever, to needing a plumber, but I am so glad that I know an excellent plumbing company that I can call when such help is needed!

Marty's has now saved us once.

The first time when we had a leak in the master bath coming from the base of the toilet. Was a major leak and required removal of the toilet.

No BS, fair price and quick work that day. MUCH better than some of the other plumbers we've had out.

Second time was from majorly shoddy work from Superior Plumbing. We found out we had a $800 water bill and that there had been a leak where Superior did work. Immediately called San Jose water to have them shut off water to the house from the street (was below main shut off line).

Ed from MArti's was here the next day and worked ALL DAY on one of the most difficult jobs I have ever seen. I know, because I was there all day to try and help any way I could.

What Superior couldn't do in weeks, Ed did in 1 day. Awesome job, thank you.

Ed Ramirez dealt with an early life failure in our water heater quickly & painlessly. Got parts lined up while I checked warranty and then picked up the parts late on his Friday night. Reasonable parts markup and fair prices.

Excellent service. The plumber came out to check out a bad odor coming from our bathroom which I suspected was due to backup in our sewage pipe. Turns out it was due to the fact that the sink and bathtub drains had dried up (we hadn't run the water in that bathroom in awhile) allowing sewer gas to accumulate. It was a simple fix as long as your plumber is knowledgeable, which he was. Just in case he did a few tests to make sure there were no blockages in the pipes. After this he didn't even charge me for the diagnostics since he didn't have to use any parts, etc. It was such a pleasant experience, hard to find. Definitely using them again!

THIS COMPANY PROVIDES A VERY POOR SERVICE. I give them one star only because they came on Saturday and didnt charge me for their 2nd visit as they didn't fix the problem.

We had our 1st floor toilet overflowing. They came and ask if we have a house clean out spot (usually there shall be a street clean out and a house clean out spot. We didn't know if we have one and where it is located. As they didn't find one, they suggested removing the toilet and using a sewer metal cable machine to open the clogged pipe. They run it 80 feet and pull it back saying the problem is fixed. They charged me a total of $384.99. The plumber also said that since we don't have a house clean out spot they can make one for us to eliminate the toilet removal in the future. It will cost us around $1800. I said that I am not interested.

At that night when we took shower and run the washing machine the toilet overflowed multiple times. I called them again and after multiple calls they agreed to send same person on Monday. He run that cable again and this time it was stuck after 60 feet. He said that he can run a camera cable to get better visibility but it will cost us additional $185.99. I said ok. He run the camera cable but didn't see much because of water and it didn't help. Then the plumber run under the house said that few pipe supporters are broken and as a result the pipes have bend and that is probably the problem. he said it will cost us around $2000 to fix it. I said that I will look for other solution.

Bottom line - they didnt solve the problem. they suggested costly option to possibly eliminate similar problem in the future.

I had a nasty clog so far my main drain that I could not reach it with a 25' snake. I tried two other companies - one quoted me $400, another said they needed to use special equipment to work form the vent pipe on my roof. I went to Home depot and rented a machine with a 50' cable - still not long enough. I finally gave up and called Martis, since they are near my house. Mathew from Martis showed up with a good sized rooter machine in less than an hour and quoted me $160 per hour. It seemed like a lot, but I was tired and agreed.

Imagine my delight when Mathew got that clog out (65' down the pipe) in about 30 minutes, and only charged me for 1/2 hour -$85 :-) :-) He left everything clean (even wore shoe covers when he walked through the house) and working, and later I took the longest shower I've had in weeks - no sign of water backup.

Mathew also noted some iron chips that may be part of our drain pipes. They are coming back next week to put a camera down there (quoted $150) and see if my 65 y/o iron pipes are rusting through or if the clog was just a fluke.

I was having a bit of a problem with my kitchen water filter and wasn't sure if it was a simple or more serious issue that was causing the problem. Either way, I wanted to get it fixed asap because I drink a lot of water and I cannot stand the chlorine tasting water out of the tap. I called Marti's Plumbing because of the great reviews and because I like to do business with Cupertino companies.

Matthew came out within 15 minutes. I was relieved to find out it was a simple thing and he resolved my problem within minutes. It was a nominal fee he charged me, so I was delighted. So now that I knew I wanted to continue doing business with him, I asked him to take a look at another little problem I have been having with my bathroom sink drain and plug. He had it replaced in no time, it looks great and I am satisfied with the fee charged. He also made an adjustment on my guest bath sink plug before he left and I am delighted that that is in working order, too!

Matthew was very nice and I really appreciate his professionalism, as he explained to me everything he was doing to repair my sink. He also gave me some good tips. I also really, really appreciate the immediate service I received!

I have a short list of people (electrician, general contractor, etc.) who I trust and who I like to do business with for my household issues. Now Marti's Plumbing is on that list. Once I start doing business with a company, if I am happy, I am very loyal.

A great team of plumbers .. I called Marti's around 9am and by around 9:20am Erica came out to clean out a clogged waste line from house to sewer .. she was professional, described to me the various options and their prices .. unfortunately the snake broke early in the procedure so she called in for backup .. Dragan arrived and saved the day. Very experienced and professional .. solved my problem in no time. This is the third time i have relied on Marti's Plumbing and without hesitation i will be calling them first the next time i need a plumber.

Dragan came out and fixed our problem quickly. He's very polite and neat, suggested improvements but didn't push. He was on time, and the charges were extremely reasonable. I've never been able to say such great things about a plumber!
