I usually don't write reviews, but I've worked with Marathon HVAC a couple of times now and they are completely professional. From customer service (Paula) to the actual service men they send out (Cesar, Danny, and Andy), they are respectful, polite, knowledgable and punctual! Moreover, I always get at least 3 companies to bid a job, and these guys were the only ones that really knew what they were doing. They fixed the totally loused up job another company had done when we remodeled our home. Plus, their prices were great! The only problem I had with them was that they were so booked up! And there's a reason why - they're just a great company. Thank you!

This is a truly horrible company. Stay far away. I spent thousands of dollars with them and they did not fully resolve my issue with my AC and just stopped responding to calls, voice mails and text messages for absolutely no reason. I reached out 5 or 6 times over a three week period and did not receive a single return call, text or voicemail. I was simply politely trying to schedule a follow up visit to fully resolve the issue. I spent thousands with them and have an AC unit that doesn't work and they don't even have the decency to call me back.

The summertime might be one of the worst times of year that your AC can stop working. Out of the countless HVAC repair services I contacted, Marathon was the quickest to respond. In fact, communication with Sarah was quick and efficient. They charged $125 to come out, and if they couldn't fix the problem this time around, that fee would be applied to the whole repair, so long as you did the repair through them. Seemed fair enough.

The service technicians were 10 minutes late, which was excusable (traffic). Sergio and Jesse diagnosed the problem in a decent amount of time. They walked me through what they were doing, and it eventually came down to a capacitor replacement. In all it took about 45 minutes.

Based on the ease of communication, professionalism of staff and technicians, I wouldn't hesitate to call Marathon again.

Stay away! The Sellers of our home spent over 20K on 2 new units. Less than 18 months later the first floor unit is not working and blowing cold air (in the middle of winter). They wanted to charge $125 just to come out and assess. After spending that much, I would expect them to come out first and diagnose before even thinking about charging the client a fee after so much was already spent.

I highly recommend this company. They repaired my furnace. Ray gave me a very reasonable estimate and the technicians were punctual, professional and respectful.

I would not recommend them to anyone in the future. As a Realtor, I called them out for a quote for my client. Since we were in escrow, time was of the essence. The technician came out, informed me of the $125 fee for them to come out (and I did not recall hearing that when I made the appointment), and he was not able to give me a quote. He had to go back to the office and let them email me the estimate. I did receive the quote by the end of the day, which was timely, but I had questions and emailed back. I never received a response so I had to call another company out. Their fee to come out to give an estimate was $59, they had a tablet there and gave me a quote and did the work same day. I would definitely call that company again. The company that is the subject of this review did adjust the service fee they are charging me to $80 which was better but still unreasonable for the service.

I first meet Ray the owner of Marathon HVAC Service at the LA County Fair. We set a date for him to come to the house to give us an estimate . He was on time and very attentive and listen to what I wanted. Ray then looked over my old equipment and also discussed with me about moving the outside condenser to a new location. He made me aware of the advantage of relocation the unit since it was outside my master bedroom and was rather noisy. He showed me some information on product reliability and then gave me an estimate for complete change out of the heating and air unit. Ray was the fourth company that came out and gave me an awesome estimate. I was very pleased with the price and agreed on an install date. The morning of the install Ray was there reassuring me exactly what the process was going to be . His installation team did an excellent job and was very clean and very professional . I would feel very comfortable recommending this business to my family and friends. Thank you again Ray

Ray the owner himself came by my house for estimate on a replacement a/c and furnace system. I was quoted an American standard unit which was one of the top 3 a/c brands out there.( did some research after getting estimate)
I had some wiggle room and was able to upgrade to a 16 seer vs 14seer unit. 16 seer unit is more efficient than a 14 seer which means extra savings in electric bill. California's standard recommendation is a 14 seer.
I am 100% satisfied with this company service and installation. There was a few leftover bolt and screws I found but no big deal. I know they worked really hard in this hot weather (100 both days) to install. I made sure to give them waters and one Gatorade each day

The new unit is so QUIET, it's amazing!!!Everything is working and im a happy customer.
I will post an updated review in a few months to help advise you yelpers. Would recommend to a friend or family member no problem!

Ray and Marathon are the best around. We've had issues with our AC system for years and went through a lot of shady, low quality and bad work from lots of local HVAC companies. Ray came in and fixed everything at a reasonable cost. He really took his time and explained in detail all the work. They were quick and efficient! they were here and done within half a day to install a new AC unit, retrofit the attic condenser unit for newer refrigerant type, fix the botched job from the previous HVAC companies, checked for leaks and test runs. We are so glad we went with Ray because now that we just got our first hot day of the year we are cool as a cucumber. He is now our goto guy for HVAC issues. Go with Marathon!

Just got our NEW American Standard Platinum 16 seer 5 ton HVAC! Owner, RAY MARTNEZ, was very professional and went above and beyond to give us what we needed. Now we are ready for the Thanksgiving heat wave AND winter on its way.
The Marathon men, Julio, Juego, Gabriel and Charton (not positive of spelling) were ALL fantastic. We interviewed and got bids from 5 different HVAC companies and Marathon was the winner!
