I have been using Marathon HVAC for my annual maintenance, and also had them install a smart thermostat. Everyone who comes is punctual, cleans up after themselves, and is super friendly. And they don't try to upsell me on things, which is really amazing. I honestly can't remember who had recommended them to me when I was looking for someone, but I wish that I could so I could thank them. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a reliable HVAC company.

A very close contractor friend recommended Marathon. I got several bids from well known retailers and it was like the wild west. By far Ray from Marathon was the most 'thoughtful.' Some vendors said keep the ducting while others did not. One wanted to put the a/c unit on top of the garage which was a significant added expense and would be dumb due to vibration and potential leak issues as well as maintenance with people walking on my new roof.

Ray gave the most thorough bid as he recommended changing the size of the floor registers. Without this change the system would not provide the volume of heat and a/c which was necessary to work most efficiently. He bid a good basic system with the potential to pay more for a smaller, quieter and more efficient unit (16 seer which will be required in 2023). Other vendors lied and said I had to go with 16 seer because a 14 seer was not available!

I went with the upgrade as he was not pushy about it and it just made sense and has a low profile to be located on the size of my house. He also recommended a more powerful unit (5 ton vs 4 ton) so there would be no issue of getting desired temperatures and this also allows if I add on to my house.

His company is small and I felt a true bond with him as he truly cared about my satisfaction and the job being perfect. His crew worked hard and showed up on time and were very respectful. All of his business is due to word of mouth which is best advertising!

As most are experiencing, the heat is causing our AC to work overtime, which in turn causes some issues for us. I was driving by and noticed Marathon HVAC Service, Inc fixing our neighbors AC.

I stopped hoping that the tech would say that that had an opening for us in the next day or so (other companies were a week out for service). Not only did they have availability, Ray the owner who was actually doing the work, followed me to my house to look at our system.

He fixed us up on the spot. This is the type of service I used to expect and am very glad to see some still provide. A HUGE shoutout to Ray for exceptional support, advice and expertise.

I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an honest, reliable and knowledgeable HVAC expert!

Marathon was recommended by a contractor for a remodel. They replaced old ducting, relocated the furnace and coil, and installed new air vents. A big job and definitely not an easy one, but they were thorough. They are transparent and honest with what work needs to be done. Their quote was reasonable for the quality of work. Two years later my AC unit stopped cooling, they came out and repaired a plumbing issue that was caused by a contractor, and my AC was up and running again. They wore shoe covers and made sure the areas they worked on were clean before they left. I really appreciated that. I would highly recommend them for big or small jobs.

Ray and his team just took out my old furnace and ducts and replaced it with new ducts, a new furnace and added air conditioning. From the very beginning, I appreciated how Ray came up with a more efficient solution than other companies that had looked at the job. When the team came to do the work, they were on-time, masked, and always professional and courteous. My job took two days and Ray was on site both days. The team was very conscientious about leaving the site clean and tidy the first day and when they left. I highly recommend Ray and his team at Marathon.

Twice now I have had a scheduled appointment with this company and both times I have been screwed over!
First time, they scheduled me for 8am, and I had to rearrange my day, as it would take a few hours for them to do what was planned, but 5 minutes after 8, I received a call telling me that a few of the service guys called in sick, and Ray would call me back to reschedule.
Two months later, I called back to find out if everything was okay there. Come to find that they just forgot about me!
Another appointment was scheduled, and two weeks prior, I called in to confirm I was still scheduled, they said yes, Ray will be there 8am sharp!
The day of my second appointment arrives, and again I rearranged my day so Ray could do his job, but just to be on the safe side, I checked in the day before, and was told everything was still as planned. The morning of my second appointment, at 8:10 am after no one had shown, I called in and was told that I was no longer on the schedule, and was asked to wait a minute while they called Ray to see what was going on. They came back to tell me that Ray SAYS there was an emergency (THAT THE OFFICE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT), and they would have to reschedule for the third time!
If this is the way they run there business, don't see how there still operating, especially in these times!
