Mallard is awesome! They are my go to plumber for anything I need. I just bought a house in Moraga and had a list from the home inspector of things that I should do right away and some things that I should do eventually. I handed the list to Mallard and they took care of it all quickly. Water heater, seismic gas valve, gas line to my pool heater, toilet repair, kitchen faucet replacement... they do it all.

Mallard has been doing work for us for 20+ years. We just had them clean our ejection pump and fix 2 dripping faucets. Roberto and a helper showed up on time, put on their shoe covers, completed the work quickly and without making a mess, and were friendly and helpful. $350 well spent.

I have used Manuel in the past for a lot of my plumbing and he did a great job then and was very responsive and professional. I had an appt. for Monday to see about a cleanout installation. Not only didn't he not show, and I waited around for 2 hours, but he didn't have the courtesy to call me and respond even after I called him. I don't know what has happened to him in all these years but I certainly won't be calling him or using him ever again.

I had a leaky bathroom sink faucet. Called them up and they came the next morning, very promptly @ 8:30am as we had agreed. Roberto was very resourceful, very polite and used his knowledge and expertise to get to the root of the problem. He fixed it promptly! We had another plumber try to fix it and all they did was knick my faucet and told me they couldn't remove the fixture in order to source the problem. Roberto knew not to use a tool on the the faucet (only hand unscrewing) and to work from under the sink to loosen the corroded screw. Solid work. Nice guy!

I needed all my cast iron replaced in my crawl space after we noticed significant leaking. Mallard came the next day, assessed the issues and gave me a quote the next day. They even did a temporary repair so we could continue to use our kitchen and one bathroom. They finished all the work in two days and were quiet, clean and very professional. Highly recommend.

Manuel, Roberto, and everyone at Mallard has done great work at our house over the years. First major projects were a bathroom remodel and then a full lower level ADU, all new plumbing (rough and finish) for a new shower, bathroom, kitchen, laundry, including changing our hot water heater to an on-demand tankless heater. Passed all inspections with no issues. They also did my sewer replacement and are currently working on our kitchen remodel. Finally, they recently helped a family friend to fix a gas leak, same day service in an emergency. For quality customer service and quality work, choose Mallard! -Joe

I had done my research. Not only in Yelp but in Nextdoor and Berkeley Parents Network. All indications were positive. So was the process of setting an initial appointment for Manuel to come to our home to review our plumbing project. He took notes, gathered all facts and then disappeared. Several hone messages and emails to the customer support email and to Manuel directly continue to go unanswered 2+ weeks later. Apparently they have enough business to completely ghost potential new customers or not devote the 30 seconds required to decline a project. I am sad and hesitant to post this review but I simply need other customers to know that you are not dealing with a courteous, responsive company in Mallard Plumbing.
