I thought it odd that the few times these guys were called to a leak at one of my rentals that the fix was a whole new water heater and repiping of said water heater. Nevertheless, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to coincidence. After all, they are the experts.
But then I had a pipe leak in a separate rental caused by the snovid freeze. The tenant had called a plumber who quoted $1500 to repair. Of course I called Mainstream to get a second quote. You can believe how my stomach churned when they quoted a 20 thousand dollar whole home repiping as the fix. I can just imagine how much I overpaid for my other fixes.
My guess is that their workers are on commission and get a percentage of the jobs they sell. Just a guess.
Bottom line, find a company thats more honest. Mainstream will oversell the fix.
You might just need a new toilet plunger, but they will try to talk you in to 3 new toilets, a bidet, and a rerouted sprinkler system. Kaching!!

My opinion is if you desire honest work and appreciate your money being used on the actual job required to complete the task call elsewhere.
A 15.00 external part didnt require internal extensions, sadering, uncleaned up mess and "possible" holes in the wall plus a big bill.
Grateful i wasn't ignorant to the work at hand and declined.

We used them to replace a water heater that went out. It seemed like they did a good job until about a month later when we opened the door to the room and realized there was a leak that had resulted in mold on the walls. We called them and they came out and "fixed" it, which we later learned they did not. Here we are a year later, the leak is still going strong, and the water heater has gone out. We are working with another plumber to fix all of the issues they have created, but definitely recommend not going with them if you value your home.

The mainstream team is very nice but unfortunately incompetent in plumbing. They installed a tankless water heater for me and you will be able to see from the pictures that the work done was very shoddy. Specifically when they installed the vent they simply pushed the old one out and exposed the hole to rain. So of course when it rained it drenched my attic. They had to build a platform to mount the water heater and when they built it they could have easily moved the old drain pan. But instead, as you see in the pic they simply built the 2x4 leg into the drain pan. I had to cut the leg and rebuild it myself. Then probably the worse part is that the way they plumbed the drain it was not sealed. Your can see they simply split the drain hose and pushed it onto the drain outlet. No clamp, nothing to secure it. And with most water heaters it's a slow drain so it slowly leaked onto our ceiling right under the attack into a closet that was not used regularly. So black and green mold grew and it was not until we went into the closet several months later that we noticed. I of course ripped out the mold immediately and had it repaired and had the plumbing to the water heater fixed. I have reached out to mainstream to pay for the repairs and they won't respond. Sadly no one should use them if they want quality work.

I needed a natural gas line extended to a gas log fireplace in my backyard. After many days of calling other plumbers and getting no response, I asked a friend for a referral and he said to call Mainstream. I dialed their number twice and never got a connection. In moments I received a call from Mainstream saying that they missed my call and wanted to know how they could help me. Can you believe it?? I explained what I needed and an appointment was set up to come look at the site and do an estimate. They gave me a fair price and we booked the appointment. They were extremely neat, professional, and fast. I was lucky, too, because they left a couple of tools at my house and when they came back I was able to ask a question about the installation. They listened to my concern and fixed it immediately. I will gladly recommend them to anyone needing a plumber - residential or commercial.

I called 8 different plumbers to assess a leak in my laundry room. 2 gave me appointment options 2-3 days out. The rest have yet to call me back. Mainstream called me back within an hour and had a technician here in 2-3 hours. Ben (the technician) was friendly and knowledgeable, providing us detailed explanations of his findings and repair options. 110% satisfied.

We first used Mainstream about a year ago, at the recommendation of friends from church, and we were not disappointed. Three other plumbers (yes 3) had incorrectly diagnosed a problem with our Kitchen sink stopping up. Ben came in and correctly diagnosed it, saving us thousands of dollars. This week we had a leak in one of our bathrooms, and Ben came again, and quickly diagnosed, and fixed our problem. This is a company whose owner, and employees are filled with integrity, make their customers' needs a priority, are more than fair with their charges, and quite simply, a class act. It's such a blessing to find a company like this.

I had the guys put in a Pelican whole house filtration system. It took me a while to get them out to do the work as they seemed to be always on emergency jobs. When they came they were great did the work fine and quoted me to plumb in my fridge. After they had left, one tank in the system started to leak and was isolated. I still had water so no emergency. It has been almost 2 months and I still do not have the tank replaced.
They came in December and plumbed in the fridge leaving a hole in the drywall. They promised they would send out someone to make good. I appreciate it was the holiday period but I still have a hole in the wall one months later. I have just had a call to say they don't make good that's my problem. I have adjusted my rating accordingly.
I guess you just can't believe what some people say. If I had known that they don't do the whole job I would have gone and had them rip my wall up. Be warned.
RP Austin.

Incredible service from first call at 7:30am until the techs left my house. My water heater crapped out and leaked a good amount of water late in the evening, I called at 7:30 and they were able to provide me a price almost $1,000 lower than other quotes and same day install(3hrs from my first call), and done in approx. 1.5hrs. Couldn't be happier and referring them to anyone that needs plumbing service.

Contacted Mainstream after another plumbing company failed to follow through. Ben came over, told me what I needed and I went to go get it a few days later. Scheduled an install date for our shower set. Ben was a little late to start, ran into some complicating factors, and had some emergencies in between, but the install looks great. He had to do a few extra things because of an accident he made, which made the task go longer, yet we are pleased with our experiences. Ben was easy to speak with and he got right to work each time he came back. The only issue I would say would need work would be communication.
