I'm a stickler for excellence (my father was a contractor).
I needed my shower unplugged, my kitchen tricked out with a new faucet, a reverse osmosis filter system, rust coming out of my tub and basement sink and installation of net (SF approved) toilet.
Adam was my technician. If I needed them again, I wouldn't waste time, and just ask for Adam. He worked FAST. Was intuitive on my needs. Didn't waste time (clock). I felt like I got a total fix with the best selection, work and cost savings.
I have used other plumbing companies...Fast Response was one. But, Magic is my company now. I bet there are other companies that are good, but I'm familiar with contracting, and service, and Magic is where I have landed.

Absolutely a great service, competitive price and professionalisms.
It is very hard to find an honest, affordable, licensed plumber in the city.
After reading Magic Plumbing I decided to give it a try and Our Plumber Miguel was absolutely great. My stove needed to have a gas shot down valve right behind the stove For the installation of my new stove. I called late on a Saturday and they were at my home in less than 24hrs.
They cleaned under the stove and cleaned after work.

Would I use Magic Plumbing again, ABSOLUTELY NOT!. They were supposed to be onsite between 12 and 3 pm but showed up at 4 pm, left at 4pm for another job, came back at 5pm, left at 6pm for another job, came back at 7:30 pm and are still working onsite at 8 pm. Obviously there are doing two jobs at once on different sides of Golden Gate park.

To explain, I made an appointment on Saturday for Sunday since Magic Plumbing said they were running behind on Saturday. I asked for a morning appointment and they said I would be notified in the morning as to my appointment time. At 10:30 I received a phone call that the technician would be onsite between noon and 3 pm. I called at 3 pm and they said the technician was running behind, that they could not reach him and that there was no ETA for his arrival. I escalated to the dispatch manager who told me both technicians were working on one problem in the Richmond district. He said they had to run out to their shop by Candlestick but that both would stop by my place in the Sunset to look at the issue of the leak in the kitchen ceiling. One technician came back as promised at 5 pm, worked for about an hour and then said he needed to run to his truck in the Richmond district to get a tool for a rusted bolt. After 1 hour and 15 minutes I called the technician and he said they had run into additional issues on the Richmond district job. Magic Plumbing was obviously doing both jobs simultaneously using both technicians on two separate jobs on either side of Golden Gate Park. After 1.5 hours both technicians came back to the Sunset district. It is now 8 pm and both technicians are still working on an issue that was supposed to be addressed between 12 and 3 pm.

Similar to a previous review, Magic Plumbing was ""responsible and courteous... Maybe not the cheapest, but it was a reasonable price."" Miguel did save me a couple of hundred dollars though. Initially, the job was to repair a leaky ""out-dated"" faucet, which had to be replaced. He also had to go out and purchase a replacement part for an unexpected rusted, failing pipe. Including the repair work and having to go-out-and-return, he completed the job within an hour and a half. ""...would definitely use them again.""

Magic Plumbing is the best! We had a plumbing crisis on a Sunday morning- I called Magic, spoke with a very friendly and knowledgeable person named Becky. She told me that a specialist, Bernardino, would be dispatched been 2-4 pm. He texted me 20 minutes before he arrived, had all the tools and equipment he would need in his fully stocked truck, figured out the problem, solved it! Pipes cleared, everything fixed, disaster averted. Truly awesome service.
I highly recommend Magic Plumbing!

Nothing 'magic' about them.
My water heater went out on a Sunday.
They came by, checked it out, and ordered the part needed, but it wouldn't be in until Thursday, 4 days later.
We set up an installation appointment for Friday.
On Friday, when the appointment for them to install the part came around, they called to say the part hadn't come in and wouldn't be in until the following Tuesday (NINE days after they first diagnosed the problem). Why would I believe they could even get the part in by then?
I will have not had a working water heater for nine days, and now I don't know if they'll even return my $60 deposit.
Magic Plumbing said they were told the part was in, but their policy is not to pick up the part until they're on the way to the job.
Maybe they should be sure they have the part IN THEIR HANDS before making an appointment to install the part.
I called another firm that has the part and they will install it tomorrow morning.
I never should have called Magic Plumbing. If they were indeed 'magic,' they could have pulled the part out of their hat.

Bernardino is my hero! A foul smell and a significant amount of fur when I tried to unblock my tubs drain suggested something had managed to die there.
Bernardino persisted until he cleared the blockage and left the bathroom clean and smelling fresh again. Suggested remedial work to prevent the problem happening again. Not the cheapest around, but they came out within 2 hours of calling.

After days of trying to unclog my sink, I finally gave in and called Magic Plumbing. Bernardino was able to come out the very same day. He was very courteous and explained what was going on. Highly recommend him to anyone else in need of plumbing services!
