Our sidewalks were flagged by the city and the problem was a broken sewer main. Ugh! We diligently went through multiple bids. Magic plumbing's bid process was the best. The bidder Frank brought his own camera to inspect our line and was very articulate and forthright. Unlike the other bidder, he mentioned that our downspout drain was not up to code and should be replaced at the same time---that could have been an ugly surprise later. The foreman on our job was Steve, with 25 years experience in sewer replacement. The company thoughtfully sent an email with his resume to introduce us to him before the job, a very nice touch. Steve was wonderful. He could explain everything---with building code number references. He was very quiet with his advice for his crew Devin and Lucky, who listened carefully to everything he said and obviously respected him a lot. We hoped to preserve an Arbutus tree we planted, and they went out of their way to save it. Our sewer line connection is 9 feet down in loose sand. It was a very tricky excavation and nothing went wrong, even though the gas line was in the way. We are very confident and appreciative of all of their attention to detail. The company's concrete contractor was a bit slow to respond to our job, so Pablo went to great effort to set up our job with another concrete contractor to get things done on time. If you need your sewer line replaced, I can definitely recommend this company. No negatives to report at all.

I had Paul do a job for me back in the mid-80s when he was first starting out... He did a great job then so I called him again for a major mainline replacement of our four unit building. He quoted a fair price and did the work promptly, on time, very neatly, and even though Underground utilities required them to route the main line differently, they did not change the original bid.

I have used Magic Plumbing many times in the past. The services I used included minor plumbing issues, replacing toilets to those that conserve more water, and most recently, to replace a water heater. It was extremely easy to set up an appointment and they were able to come out the same day I phoned, which was a Saturday. The technician came out and was able to determine that the water heater needed to be replaced. He was able to get it to temporarily work for a day until he could return the next day, on Sunday, to replace it. There was a bit of a hiccup when he replaced it, because it was a bit too wide for the space, but he was able to return the next day and replace it with one that fit correctly. In the end, everything turned out well and the water heater has been working fine. I would not hesitate to recommend Magic Plumbing for any plumbing issues.

Amazing service! As seems to always happen, my plumbing emergencies happen the day before a three day weekend... in this case Memorial Day Weekened, when my hot water tank died completely. Expert advice, guidance and education on the tankless water heaters quickly followed by rapid installation and then cleanup work. Women be aware. I did not feel safe with this person in my place. He was unprofessional. I almost got my weapon out to get him out of my place. This place needs to train their male employees on how to treat women. Tell your employees that it is not acceptable to touch your clients. Never again. I should have reported him to the police.

Magic Plumbing is thorough, came and assessed the damage done by a leaky water heater and came up with an i tervention to prevent catastrophic damage from future leaks. Pricing was competitive. Dino was a seasoned plumber and extremely helpful and cordial, a true professional.

James was prompt and pleasant. He first gave me a quote, then cleaned out a garbage disposal filled with foul smelling junk and discovered a large pit (avocado?) and many small pits (olive) and other material that never should have been put in the disposal. He explained what he was doing, made sure everything worked and helped me avoid the added expense of replacing the garbage disposal. He cleaned up after the work was done.
If all Magic Plumber staff are as efficient and friendly as he was, I will definitely use Magic Plumber again. My highest recommendation.

$427 for 1 hour of work to replace sink u-trap pipe!!

Communication was great with app to track location of the plumber instead of waiting and wondering where they are.
I'm happy with the work was done.

The $427 bill is outrageous for 1 hour of work and less than $10 in parts (new u trap pipe).

My friend helped me out by meeting the plumber, otherwise there's no way I would have agreed to paying that much!!
