We came up to our house in Tahoe and as we turned on the main water line, we noticed a leak coming from our water heater. There was a crack in the valve that connects to the water line and water heater, next to the expansion tank. We called four plumbers in town, mind you it was a Saturday afternoon, and no one with the exception of Mackinaw plumbing picked up the phone. Also, the messages we left for the other three companies in the area that are open on Saturdays never got back to us. Teri was very responsive and was up at our house in no time. Teri was very professional and very upfront about the estimated cost, as it was an emergency and a weekend. He did a fantastic job and was in and out in no time. We will definitely be using him again for any plumbing needs and I would highly recommend Teri to anyone in North Tahoe. Thanks for saving our weekend!

Terry has been my go-to for plumbing since I moved to the area two years ago. The first time I called him, it was a snowy winter day and I couldn't get the hot water heater working when I came home. He came out within a couple hours and it turned out to be a quick fix. Since then I've used him to upgrade and modernize fixtures. A hot water recirculating pump that he installed failed a few months out of warranty and he replaced it charging no labor. I don't understand the negative reviews. Terry is a character and he has always done the agreed-upon work satisfactorily, in a reasonable time frame, and at a reasonable price.

Having dealt with both good & bad contractors in the past and after reading the yelp reviews both positive and negative. I decided to pass on contacting Mackinaw plumbing, I don't need the surprises or issues it seems associated with this company & having to deal with Tahoe plumbing contractors is not something we want to undertake again.

Hired him for rough plumbing job for remodel, said he pulled plumbing permit but did not. Day after I fired him he tried to then pull permit, which is not legal. Billed for work not performed (fraud), billed for hours not worked, my surveillance cameras proved it. Will be taking legal action. Stay away!

We had water running from a stuck check valve on a Saturday night, I called Mackinaw Plumbing and he helped me troubleshoot the problem over the phone. We were able to keep the house running with water and Mackinaw plumbing came over on Sunday and fixed the problem. I would call them again if I have a plumbing problem.

Exceptionally responsive, very professional, expert workmanship. Don't need to say much more, but this company is great. I don't know if they can always be so quick to respond, but I called at 9AM, they were here by 1PM, and gone by 3PM, work done. Installed a new kitchen faucet and two new shutoff valves. Terry is both competent and very friendly! But all business. Couldn't be happier. Will call again when I need plumbing work.

My mother is in a tiny cabin in Kings Beach and had a plumbing issue and I had to coordinate from the Bay Area. Terry came out and fixed it right away. Super kind and responsive and great with the elderly. So happy that Terry was able to get the job done so quickly.
