On Thursday, November 12, 2015, an inspector with the California Energy Upgrade program detected two gas leaks at our home: One in the furnace unit in the attic and another in the clothes dryer gas line inside our garage. I immediately called Ros Macias at Macias Plumbing & Rooter. Ros was busy, but he promised to arrive within the hour. Less than an hour later, Ros arrived and went straight to work, and he quickly repaired both gas lines. While he was at our house, Ros also repaired a shower fixture that had been leaking badly!

The next morning I smelled natural gas outside our garage. I called Ros at 7:00AM, and he responded to our home in less than half an hour. That is true emergency service! Ros confirmed that his prior work was not leaking, but he discovered that a buried gas pipe was badly corroded and leaking gas. Ros dug up the soil around the gas pipe and worked hard to locate a section of solid pipe to install a 90-degree elbow and a length of brand new pipe. Ros eventually called a second Macias plumber to assist him, but he was able to complete the repair despite the extremely poor condition of the existing gas pipe.

We are grateful to Ros Macias of Macias Plumbing & Rooter. Ros is knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. He will explain the problem and all available solutions and prices. He will not over-charge. Ros expertly repaired our leaking gas lines, and by doing that he improved the safety of our home. Had the leaks not been discovered and repaired, we would have been unknowingly living in a very dangerous environment. We now have peace of mind knowing that Ros Macias is our family plumber. Responded promptly on a holiday. Polite, professional, explained what was going on the entire process. Ros crawled under my 1925 historic home easily. He was thorough in evaluating the situation. Every time I call he cannot come out (except for the first time), even though the hours says he does late night (3x), and then he doesn't return phone calls for other services that are not emergency (2x) and doesn't stand by what he said at the first visit. Very disappointed and frustrated when he lives so nearby and will not help a family out with little ones and backed up all over the house!!!

What a guy! My husband called on a Sunday morning because our water heater wasn't working. I searched for a local plumber through my number one resource, Yelp of course. I scheduled 3 estimates. I needed all the plumbing done in what would be our new home. The house was in bad shape so it was completely remodeled.

Ros came across as a down to earth guy, who you can trust. My biggest issue with the contractors is that they all seemed a little shady. I felt like Ros was a neighbor helping out on the whole project. He was both extremely knowledgeable, and his price was fair compared to the other estimates. We chose Ros to be our plumber.

We hired Ros to do a lot! He installed our gorgeous Farmhouse Kitchen Sink, one bath tub including fixtures, one shower including fixtures, two bathroom vanities including fixtures, two toilets and the water heater.

He worked extremely well with other contractors, with our time line and stayed within budget. He made suggestions along the way of needed or optional updates, his experience really kicked in over the course of the project. He knows plumbing extremely well but his knowledge of remodeling and other trades is what put the icing on the cake. All his helpers were always pleasant.

We worked with many contractors on this project but Ros is the only one everyone asks about and remembers. He's a great guy.
