Stay far away from this company!! Our downstairs A/C unit was having trouble and wasn't blowing cool air. They sent someone out and he said that there wasn't any freon in the unit and it'd be $850+ to fill it up. I understand Freon is expensive but we ended up sending them away and calling someone else. Turns out our Freon was completely fine and it was the capacitor that needs to be replaced. If you want to get scammed and pay over priced prices then give them a call.

I would not recommend. They don't seem to pay attention when you speak to them, so schedules keep changing. Very expensive. I ended up getting the work done for less than a quarter of what they were charging.

I hired Mac 5 as I was new to the area and needed some help with moving our water softener. They said I needed a new one and gave me a quote for what the technician called the best one on the market. The quote was over $1900 for the softener and over $600 for installation. They conveniently do not put the part numbers on the quote so there is no way of knowing what you are getting. I agreed and found out later that the softener was purchased from a local supply house for around $500 and it took them 2 hrs to install. The softener regeneration failed a few months later so I had it replaced by another company and Mac 5 refuses to warranty it. When I brought up the fact that the mark up on their product was nearly 4x the manager told me that was standard for them. Now I am stuck with a faulty, mediocre water softener that cost me over 2k to install. These guys are way too over priced for me.

Our toilet got clogged and I made a mistake to call this team because of the 5 stars review here. It's a big mistake! After few hours, they showed up and told me that my main line got clogged and also the toilet got broken , that they need to fix or change the flange in order to get it stopped leaking water again. The quote to do both works : unclogged the main line and fix the toilet frangle is almost $1400 ( $580 to unclogging the main line). I asked them if they could only unclog the main line and I will ask my handy man come later to fix the toilet and they said NO, they only do both work together. They knew I really need the bathroom work again because it was an airbnb and my guests were unhappy. I sent them away and of course they charged me $89 for doing nothing. My handyman came later to unclog the main line and tell me my toilet didn't have any issues, just the clog made it leaking, once it was unclogged , no more leak! Don't ever use this service if you don't want to get ripped off. He charged me $275 for everything!!

Would have given a zero if possible. Quoted me double for hvac, for lower seer than I bought for over 50% less. I wouldn't let them work on anything I own. I have their quote. They quoted me an outrageous number for a new system, and then after I laughed at them they came down to slightly over double what I ended up getting the job done for.

Called Mac5 for a hot water leak in our slab. Came right over within an hour. Quoted us two repair scenarios. We ended up going with the whole home replumb. Over 10K to do the job. Installer named Jack came a week later and started the job. His van looked like a dumpster. Would you trust someone to work on your house that doesnt even take care of his office and tools? Was there for a few hours the first day, skipped the next day and came back for few hours the following day. This guy hacked and butchered my home up. All kinds of jagged holes, uneven pIumbing fixture placement and just no pride in his work. When he left at the end of the day, Jack said the water is now on and you can use it. After he left, We turned the faucet on in the kitchen and water was leaking everywhere. Went into two of the bathrooms and we had water leaking in there. I am Livid at this point. I called the office and told them I didnt want Jack back at our home. The ladies in the office were very nice and helpful. They told me a supervisor will be out on the following Monday. He showed up. He listed to our concerns and seemed to validate them. What was strange is that he kept trying to send Jack back. This was after I said I didnt want him back at my house. They sent Sergio over. He fixed the mess that Jack made and got us going. Sergio did a great job. And then comes Steven. He is the owner. He definately needs some etiquette training. They wanted to charge us $50.00 per hole they made to repair the drywall. Of course this is at discounted rate because they normally charge $69.00 per hole. My bathroom had 19 holes in it. $800.00 to repair just the bathroom. Let alone the other 17 holes in the house. $1800.00 to fix all the drywall. Sounds like a racket.This is after we have already spent over 10K on the plumbing repipe. Steven would not discount the drywall repairs any further. I asked him to do so because of all the problems we had. He would not budge. So i decided to fix it myself. Fast forward a couple weeks. We have free credit monitoring with our credit union. They alerted us that there is a second position lean on our property from Mac5 services. I was blown away in shock. Not only did we pay 1/2 of the job cost up front, when Sergio completed the job we paid the remaining balance before he even left. Called Mac5's office and they said we didnt do that. The city did it. That was a lie. Called the city and they said someone from Mac5 physically came down and filled out the lean paperwork. I cant begin to describe the dissatisfaction I have with this company. Not only did the butcher and hack my home up, they also put a lean on it. We gave them 5 buisness days to remove the lean or we would call our attorney. They did remove it. Please stay away from this company for plumbing. What a horrible experience. I will never use this company again. I am telling everyone I know about them. Stay away at all costs.

Excellent Service and quick turn around on appointments. The plumber spent a good amount of time looking at some potential issues in our home and gave some great recommendations. The service charge was minimal for the time spent and we have a path forward on what needs to be done. This is a company I will definitely do business with in the future. Thank you for your professionalism, expertise, and advice. I appreciate good customer service especially from a company that is fully licensed and insured. TRUST is HUGE when you are going into peoples homes to conduct business. This company is well worth the time and money! Thank you.

We called Mac 5 when we suspected a water leak. They were very prompt with their response. The person who came told us that he suspected several leaks and recommended a total repipe. With a """"discount"""" the total came to 7200.00. The technicians did a thorough job and we thought we were done. A week later we noticed that we had water leaking into the garage. We called them again. The serviceman quoted us 4200 to pull up the laundry room floor as he suspected that the leak was under the floor in the laundry room. They charged us 200.00 to run the camera down the drain. We decided to get a second opinion and low and behold there was no leak in the floor but just a bad hose coming from the washer. If we would have gone with Mac 5 we would have had our floor torn up and the problem would not even have been solved. It seems to me that they should have checked the simplest thing first instead of going with the most expensive option.This makes me wonder if the repiping was even necessary.

I called and schedule an appointment for service on my a/c on 09/09/2022 early in the morning and spoke with a pleasant lady who then gave me a window time of 12-5 and we talked about a $50.00 promotion from the internet and was told there was a $79.00 fee just to show up and that fee would be waived if I agree to go ahead and let them perform the service suggested all was good until at 4:45 when I called again to see if I was still on schedule for that day and was told again by the pleasant young lady that i was still on schedule and would receive a call 30 to 45 min prior to the technician leaving his last job nothing was ever mentioned about there being a after hour emergency service fee for after hours so I continue waiting and again called to see if we where still on schedule and again was told yes and nothing else. At about 7:49 pm I got a miss call alert on my phone so i called back and it just rang and rang until I got a voice message saying the person was on another call so I called the office again and was told the technician was in route so I continue to wait and finally I received a call from the technician saying he was on the way, so after sometime after he shows up I meet him outside explain the problem and tell him i believe it's the capacitor so he goes into informing me that there's a $129.00 service fee for after hours emergency and I asked why since I had a 12-5 window and they were late and I was quoted a $79.00 service charge and about the $50.00 coupon and the $79.00 fee would be waived if I agree to complete the service to fix the a/c. So after agreeing to complete the job and 10 minutes to replace the capacitor he beings writing up the bill on his tablet and remembers to apply the $50.00 discount and hands me a bill for $317.00 without a break down of the service performed just stating that the capacitor and technician work performed. Now I'm not a genius but I'm also not the stupidest person as well and know a capacitor doesn't over $100.00 bucks so anyways I pay the bill keep the old on and looked it up and found several from $7.11 up to the highest costing $28.00 and Amazon had it for $14.00 which if I would of known I would of ordered it myself and installed as I mentioned at the beginning that I believed it was the capacitor. So after talking with the young lady the next day and asking for a member of management to call and ask to give me a better understanding of the bill, so as of today 09/16/2022 no call or anything from them. Beware of this company and get a better understanding of their window times if I had known of the after hours emergency charge ahead of time or it had been explained during my conversations with the office or technician I would of reschedule for a regular time... Never again there's no trust in these companies...
