Not the same Lucas Plumbing I used for years. Must have been sold or something - total scam and complete jerks now. Avoid avoid avoid. Horrible. Charged me $179 for a simple snake in Washing machine line and tried to sell me a $2000 service saying it was necessary. They were bullies about it and acted like they wouldn't do the simple job after I refused the expensive service. Oscar was main technician - not a nice employee. Absolute trash service now. Mr. Lucas, please don't let them keep using your name.

Stupid me. This is not your mother's Lucas Plumbing. I had a pipe burst so I called what had always been a reliable plumber. Little did I know they had been sold. Should have looked at Yelp first but I panicked. They ended up charging me $1000 for a simple $150 job. But when your yard is literally flooded you don't have time for a second opinion.
Not only that the replacement kept leaking. I had to call them out an additional four times before they fixed the leak. Avoid at all costs.

BEWARE! This company is no longer owned by Lucas Plumbing. Don't even think of using this company! They are crooks and they make up reasons to replace your plumbing systems. I called Lucas Plumbing (I used them for years and trusted them) but was connected to Ritz Plumbing without informing me. Of course, the first clue should have been when the receptionist said she needed my contact information when I knew Lucas Plumbing had it for years. Hmmm. Second clue was when they showed up in unmarked vans. Weird. Lucas had a fleet of marked vans. I asked about it and the guy/plumber told me the Lucas brothers were on vacation so they sold the business to Ritz. Huh? Really? What a shady answer that was. The reason I had them out was to check on a toilet that made a little bit of a funny noise. I decided to continue with Ritz because I wanted the toilet noise gone and how complicated could that be? Within minutes they determined it was because my main sewer line must be damaged which they would need to verify with a camera (similar to a colonoscopy instrument). $500 later they said it needed to be replaced ASAP...and how would I line to pay for it? Since it was going to be a $25K job, they could either get a check for the amount in full right now or I could apply to finance with them. Can you imagine how quickly I kicked them to the curb?

What used to be a good, honest, and reliable plumbing company has been bought out by another company, Ritz Plumbing. The deception is that they don't tell you that they are a new entity and are trading on the good will and reputation that Lucas Plumbing has built over the years. Prices are higher and they only have a single plumber come to your door (they would always show up as a team of two). I had no idea the business changed hands until I saw the invoice at the end of the repair as the call center and plumber never brought it to my attention.

Be aware!! They lie and try to rip me off. There was a leakage under the house, they've quoted $4700 for fixing all the leaking joints. ( they said it's leaking everywhere, later found out just one joint was leaking) Just to close the main shut off (where meter is) they wanted to charge me $150. When I told them I already paid $50 and not going to pay, they try to open up the main switch. What are jerks they are! They had to turn off the main because the main valve in the house were broken. They've quoted $750 to just to change the valve. Another plumber fixed everything for $200. Put new valve and fix the leakage underneath the house that lucas plumbing quoted $4700!!

Well I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with Lucas plumbing, particularly their affiliate RITZ plumbing, if I could give zero stars I would! We noticed a leak under our house and we called Lucas Plubming. They came within a few hours, however the plumber flat out lied to my wife and scared the living daylights out of her, making her think the house was going to collapse due to the foundation crumbling. Then they told me I had a bunch of pin hole leaks and needed a 20 ft section of copper pipe removed. They had time about 3 to 4 hours and by the way ONLY $1800!!!!! I thought that was OUTRAGEOUS so I had them shutoff the main. I noticed the day after that the invoice was from RITZ. Plumbing so I called Lucas plumbing back to confirm and let them know of this ridiculous price, the receptionist told me RITZ was an affiliated company and that a manager would call me back. No call. I had home warranty and they came out today and told me only single pin hole leak. So I went under to check, single pin hole leak. That Confirmed Ritz plumber lied through his teeth and went out of his way to scare my wife and give me an outrageous cost estimate. Absolutely shameful.

Beware of Ritz Plumbing, its owner Jet Speed Plumbing Inc. and the local company they bought, Lucas Plumbing. These are very predatory con artists who convince you that your home needs repairs it really does not. A $150 job was blown up to $16,000 after discounts thrown in as a favor. Their prices are enormous, their workmanship is sub-standard, incompetent and shoddy beyond words.
The Torrance City inspector found so many mistakes and code violations in a quick look that he decided to look no further and have them fix his first list of mistakes before he could come back to inspect again. We have fired them but now have to get the mess they created cleaned out which may well cost us more than $16,000 plus all the stress and hassle this is putting us through.
If the work had not been inspected and rejected we would have been trapped into more and more repairs in their hands.
Treat this as a warning, they are operating in various areas from the Oxnard to Corona, maybe under different names. If you have friends and family in these areas, please make them aware of the hit-and-run job these slick plumbers and their so-called established corporations do. They are looking for vulnerable people, making their plumbing problems look bigger than actual.
Make the time to file a complaint with the Contractors State Licensing Board if they have already hit you and you haven't complained yet.
Use reliable workers known to people you trust. We learnt a bitter lesson.

Priced have increase by 500% job they quoted $975 i had done for $170, avoid at all costs, last time they charged fair and did good work, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Honest, Cheap and great work. What else is there to ever need they are the entire package and more.

Fixed the leak in my dining room wall but left 3 large holes in my wall. I wouldn't have cared but i marked the area of the leak with an X. So he cut open 2 holes, couldn't reach the leak, then finally cut at the spot that i marked. I was beyond speechless. They do fix plumbing problems but that butcher job in my dining room soured my experience.
