I called Lucas Plumbing this morning around 845am, and told them my bathroom toilets and showers were backing up into the wash basin in the garage. The gentleman explained that it was probably the main line backed up. After explaining his pricing, I agreed to have the work done. He apologized and said it would be 2 -3 hours before someone could come out. About 45 - 50 minutes later, the door bell rings and a guy introduces himself as 'Chui,' from Lucas Plumbing. I told him the problem and he unscrewed the main cap to the main line in the front yard and once removed, sewage came gushing out! He went and got the 'snake' and proceeded to
clean out the line several times. All the toilets, sinks and shower drains work just fine now. Chui was very professional and explained exactly what he was doing while cleaning the drains and showing me all the roots that were clogging it up. Thanks Lucas Plumbing for the FAST SERVICE and very PROFESSIONAL employees!

Okay this is a totally and utterly belated review....sorry!!!

about a year ago my parents had a nightmare of a situation with the shitty Sears washer and dryer delivery people. The delivery dude broke their water connection pipe and then LIED and claimed that it was already broken and couldn't install it. I know, right???? don't get me started.

Sooo....my parents didn't know who to call and since they have no idea how to harness the power of the internet or even what the hell YELP is, I came to the rescue. Actually correction: LUCAS PLUMBING came to the rescue. I did a quick search on yelp and came up with couple of names. After calling LUCAS and texting a pic to the owner- i had someone out within the hour and also the following evening to fix the situation. The dudes that came out were total rock stars, extremely professional, uber competent, and super nice.

the best part besides finally finding a plumber that we can trust??? the PRICE. SOOOOOOOOOOO much cheaper than we thought for the quick response and quality work.

i'm sold.

I love service companies that do not make me feel like an idiot. Chris Lucas and another guy came to my condo to help with a ball valve problem with my water heater and we found the water main also needed to have the valve changed. However, that was going to be more work. There was no pressure to fix it and he even suggested different options since the construction of my condo unit is so messed up. To top it off I didn't even have to pay, I'll get a bill. Who does that? These guys are great, I will call no one else ever!

This was the first time that I decided to search in Yelp and determine to call a highly rated plumber locally to fix the back flowing laundry drain. Whenever doing laundry, I stood next to the washer every time I did a load to stop the water flowing backwards by pressing the washer dial. This was time consuming and frustrating. I called early in the morning and set up an appointment mid-day. The plumber showed up on time. I explained to him that I have had the same slow drain and back flow issue for a decade and most previous plumbers that I hired yearly always ran a snake in main drain and laundry drain which did not solve the drain issue completely and worked for few months. This time he recommended that he would run a hand held snake in the laundry room and kitchen, and then run a snake in the main drain. When he opened the cabinet in the kitchen, he recommended that plastic piping was not installed correctly and wanted to fix it by charging me for just for the piping parts. So I decided to have him replace the pipes. It has been 4 week and kitchen drain and washing machine is draining like i have new pipes. I also was little surprised that he did not write a work order with price after he completed the work. Right before he left, he said that his company will send me invoice in the mail which they did within a week. The price that he quoted me verbally was actually less than what I was billed. I would highly recommend Lucas for their expertise. I would also recommend setting up an appointment during their work hours because hourly cost will cost you double.

It is disturbing that a review written a week ago is filtered out to never, never land...makes me question the validity of Yelp...I am reposting my ealier review in hopes that it will remain in a more current position.

FORMERLY happy client--we used Lucas Plumbing for 14yrs with satisfaction and referred them to a dozen friends and neighbors during those years. I think they are good with minor problems like clogged drains etc. But they mishandled several things on our bigger projects, one of which seriously changed how we could do something else in the future, and another, if not corrected by our new plumber, could have resulted in a pipe connection failure. The last concern is because they wanted us to cut up our vanity in order to install the plumbing--an easier option for them--but would have resulted in us losing function and storage in the cabinet. I'm not sure why they and the general contractor were so stubborn about that one...

Anyway, Chris, the owner, is the nicest and easiest to work with, they do have some good guys who come out, but now I kind of feel like I gave them a little too much credit. Finding a good plumber is comforting because most of us feel vulnerable in that area. But now that we have moved on, I can say with confidence, there really are other good, honest, prompt and knowledgeable plumbers out there, and in our case, they found and corrected a significant problem left by Lucas (I guess no one is perfect) and they found a part to an aging plumbing fixture that Lucas said positively could not be found

This was the third time I dealt with them. The first two times they did the job. Hence I didn't rate them one star. This third time they called me at 3:15 and left at 4:20ish. I was charged for 2 hours....REALLY? Their GPS showed otherwise. Great I can chat, have coffee, etc, and just turn on my GPS later to bill and extra $90. I couldn't even get half off. Beware if you do call them make sure how long they will take.

Called and left a message on Sunday evening and got a call back first thing Monday morning. Chuy came out and gave me an honest estimate to snake the toilet line to the street and did a great job. So far so good...

My kitchen drain got clogged Sunday night. I usually do minor plumbing work myself, but it seems like the clog was a little past my 25 ft snake, or else was just a lot of soft sludge that recollapsed after I pulled it back. I saw several discount rooters advertised on yelp and google, but when I read the fine print the discount applied to 25 snaking only.... So I decided to call Lucas since they were local so I figured I had a better chance of them coming early, and they had good yelp reviews.
I left a message at midnight, (they have emergency service, but it was not an emergency) and got a call promptly the next morning. I talked to them at 745, and they said someone would be out between 8 and 9. Chewie showed up at 830 on the dot. I think he probably got the clog right away using the ""big guns"", but he was very thorough and went 80 ft to get everything nice and clean. Price was 100, which was nice(I was expecting around 150). He hung around for a little to make sure nothing backed up, and offered some answers to some questions I had about how my disposal was piped. Ill definitely be using these guys for jobs that are out of my league in the future.

I am glad that your office has determined that I have mistaken your company for another but that is not the case. Actually, the work was done by Chewy and I repeat, I was charged an extra mysterious hour and half once the invoice was billed to me. I then called to ask about the bill and the gentleman said he would never have quoted me any lower and the service should have took longer. I told him to ask Chewy and he replied that he was on disability. Lol. Either way, a year and a half later my tenant noticed a leak from the same area. I won't even get into what the new plumber said.
