Drilled a hole into a steel gas line and needed fixing fast. To make matters worse, it was in 1 y/o daughter's room and we did not want to have a bunch of sheet rock exposed while she slept in there for too long. I spoke to probably about 10 different plumbers and decided to stick with Duy after he was very responsive and willing to come the next day. Here is a list of things that I really appreciated about him:
-did not want to give me an early quote, wanted to first make sure exactly what he was dealing with by seeing it in person
-the inspection was free, felt no pressure to hire him for the job
-the estimate he gave me was higher than a couple other guys, and he encouraged me to maybe check back in with them to see if they'd be willing to do it for cheaper without any hard feelings.
-didn't mind me on the phone with PG&E for about 15 min. as he waited to hear if I was willing to hire him. Very patient.
-offered to patch up the sheet rock for us. We probably could have done it ourselves, but given we needed this done fast, it was very generous and helpful
-took shoes off when coming in, cleaned up after themselves, careful around the house. This was really really appreciated. Just gave you the impression that they're really good people and are mindful of the customer.

I would recommend Duy and Ricky in a heartbeat, if they're the ones coming to work for you, you're in good hands.

It was nearly 11pm on Thursday night after my partner's shower when we couldn't turn the shower off. I pulled apart the faucet hoping to find a way to turn off the water from within the fixture, but no go. It was then that we realized we needed a plumber. I hopped on Yelp to see who could come out first on Friday morning. A few people responded, but Duy didn't just respond with a time and quote. He said to send him a text and some more details, so I sent him a photo of my disassembled shower faucet and my request. He said that he would come out between 9-10am because I had a lunchtime meeting. I followed up with a quote request, and he came in at $100 less than the previous quote. Done!
Friday morning, he messaged me just before 8:45am to let me know he was on his way. He had a mask on when he came to the door and put booties on his shoes before he came in. Then, he asked some questions, listened to my explanation and concerns, and assured me that it should be a 30 minute job and that my fiddling with the failed cartridge would not be a problem.* Well, there was some significant grunting and banging as he strained to get the old one out, but he finally managed it. We were able to turn water back on, a necessity during this pandemic, and had a running shower that also turned off again by the time he was done.
*Now, I have to say that he did mention the shower's water pressure was not very good, and when I turned on the shower for the first time, I did notice that all the way to hot yields less water flow. However, I was still able to wash my thick hair and rinse it without a bunch of extra time, even though the handle wasn't on full hot. Still, the shower runs and in roughly 20-30 minutes.
I then asked him for his opinion on our two toilets: one doesn't flush without help (a bucket of water and sometimes plunging too), and the other sounds like it's running randomly even when no one has been in that bathroom recently. In both cases, he told me it was our hard water that was causing the problem. He said the same of the old cartridge for the shower and even pointed to my shower head to demonstrate. I had seen it myself the night before and was fully aware. After looking at the second toilet, what he said next was what sold me on him. He said that plumbers make most of their money on installing parts; also, he explained that it was good for him, but not good for me since I would be doing it again in a couple years. Ultimately, he stated that if I didn't invest in a water softener, then I would just continue to throw my money away every few years. I asked him what kind he recommended, and he told me how to get more out of my appliances until I replace them, one with salt would be easier to maintain and do a better job over time.
Additionally, he looked at my washer and explained the gurgling sound I kept hearing was because my drain pipe isn't standard, so it fills higher and more than it should. Finally, he looked at the caulking coming out of 20% of my kitchen sink and advised me not only on what kind of caulking to use but also explained step-by-step what I should do to do it myself if I didn't want to wait for him to come back another day. He didn't have to look at either toilet, advise me on explain my washer's noise, nor how to do my own kitchen sink repair, but he did, and at NO EXTRA CHARGE!?!? Folks, this is an honest man! Ask for Duy. You will be happy you did!

Did a great job of cleaning our lines. About a month later we discovered the cap Was not placed back on the line. They were great at coming back and taking care of the problem. I really appreciate that. I would highly recommend this business.

Despite COVID-19, I was able to schedule a same-day appointment to rooter the stopped up bathtub in my 1948 home. Ricky was respectful, professional and friendly. After trying repeatedly to unplug the drain with the rooter/auger, he went under the house to investigate and brought back a video on his phone so I could see the condition of the old galvanized pipe and several right angle turns. Ricky recommend cutting the old pipe out and replacing with plastic ABS fittings.
The next afternoon Ricky was back and completed the project. Bathtub works great.
I am glad I chose these guys and recommend them.

I had local Rooter and plumbing come to my home to inspect the main line. Multiple plumbers had snaked it without lasting success. Duy showed me that the line was filled with roots at the very distal portion. He scheduled a time to come back with different equipment and clear the roots. They did an excellent job in clearing a line and removing most of the roots. They showed up on time for the appointments. I'm very happy with their communication and the effort they put towards this job. Good work. I would highly recommend them.

A few days before Christmas my sister calls me up saying there is water leaking from the 2nd-floor ceiling on our 3-floor townhome we own. She had turned on the shower in the 3rd-floor bathroom and water was coming out the second-floor ceiling A/C vent. Of course, this was urgent and was happy to find a lot of good reviews for this company and the fast reply. I described the scenario to them over the phone and they would try to find the source of the leak. Well, unfortunately, the person that came over I have to assume was not a professional plumber. Instead of doing a complete inspection of the 3rd-floor shower to find where the water was entering the walls, they proceeded to turn my 2nd-floor ceiling into swiss cheese in their attempt to find the leak which they never found, even after running the shower again to show them it did indeed happen. They took the hardest path of investigation by trying to follow the pipes in the ceiling first, instead of the actual shower. $375 dollars and 5 hours later, no solution but 7 holes in the ceiling that were cut in random places. Called another plumbing company the next day, turns out there was the start of a gap in the caulking on the bathtub valve and when the shower was on, water was getting behind it. Some new caulking and a new shower head later, problem solved by an actual professional plumber who followed proper steps to find the source of the leak. Clearly the person they sent to my townhome was not a real professional plumber and although they may have really tried to find the source leak, they definitely did not go about it the right way. Lesson learned but I feel ripped off by this company because of their lack of plumbing skills, incompetence, and abilities. But if you ever want crazy drywall holes cut into your ceiling for that swiss cheese look, they do a pretty good job here.

Our kitchen drain got clogged and despite my own best efforts was not able to unclog it, of course this was Friday night. Ricky came by the next morning and had it quickly fixed with his pro tools. Very courteous and professional.
