Lloyd relocated his family from their farm in Colorado to Culver City, California, in 1956. At the start of his plumbing career, he worked two jobs to support his family. At night, he worked loading Carnation milk trucks, and by day, he was a plumbing apprentice. In 1965, Lloyd obtained his contractor's license and moved to Thousand Oaks to establish Lloyd's Plumbing.
In 1980, Lloyd retired, and his son Ed took over the business. Ed was inspired to not only be the best but also to maintain professionalism. He introduced clean trucks, uniformed technicians, friendly customer service receptionists, and a “nothing we can't do, and do well” attitude for the company.
In 2013, after rising through the ranks since the 1990s, Ed's sons Ryan and Aaron took over the family business. They are committed to continuing the family legacy by delivering the best plumbing experiences with honesty, integrity, and family values!

I could not have wanted more vis a vis plumbing service. From the first office contact this company has been consistently professional and responsive. They have handled two emergencies in a very timely fashion and are friendly and professional such that I always feel comfortable when they are in the house. After it became apparent that my 38 year old house needed to have replacement of hot water pipes, I hired Lloyd's for their fair prices, (made even better by their policy of taking credit cards bearing rewards). This proved to be a very wise choice. Ted explained exactly what was going to be done and the approach that would best be taken; he and Tom worked efficiently and were very considerate of household need for water as the work progressed. In less than two days, these gentlemen completed the job without a hitch. They worked so smoothly I barely knew they were here.
Further, they show up on time and the clean up done at the end of the job, is without exception, perfect!

So a few days ago I asked for plumbing recommendations on the website NextDoor. Against my better judgement (I've had bad experiences with them before) I hired Lloyds since they had good reviews on the site. Everyone deserves a second chance, right?
They came a to fix a small dripping faucet in my pool line and replaced the entire faucet (Monday). I woke up at 5:00 this morning (Wednesday) to the sound of gushing water. The entire faucet failed and water was pouring by the gallon all over the yard and into the pool - EVERYWHERE.
I called their emergency number twice and had no call back (finally almost an hour and countless gallons later they called). I tried to turn off the water at the curb but couldn't budge the handle so I finally called the Fire Department to come and turn off my water. God bless them.
So, now, I am out the money for the repair and Lord know how many hundreds of dollars in water charges for all the wasted water, not to mention, I was having the drip fixed because I am really trying to conserve water!!!
I for one, will NEVER again use Lloyds Plumbing and warn everyone here to consider carefully whether or not you will do so as well.

I was referred to Lloyd's Plumbing by PinPoint Leak Detection after finding out that I had a lot moisture on a slab floor. We suspected that it might be coming from a leaking sewer line under the the slab. Aaron with Lloyd's came out and he found roots growing into the sewer pipe, just outside the house and the room with the wet slab. He replaced the sewer line and in the process he had removed a toilet in the adjoining room. As he put the toilet back on, he mentioned to me that he had to stack three wax rings on top of each other because the pipe was too low. I later found out that this procedure is illegal, not to code and that it will allow sewage to leak under the floor. So today I had another plumber check the toilet and he advised me that the sewer line is rusted out, CRACKED, AND HAS A HOLE in it, which can easily be seen, allowing the sewage to seep out under the slab floor. All of the sewer lines under the slab need to be dug up and replaced. I called Lloyd's to advise the owner of what happened. I felt that a good business owner would want to know about this, after all, this was the reason that they were called out in the first place. Aaron called back with the wrong attitude. He was very defensive, he talked down to me in condescending manner and was not apologetic at all. He kept saying that his plumber told me of the problem and what needed to be done. Why would any homeowner allow raw sewage to seep under their slab floor causing a bad odor? I can assure you that it was not explained to me by Lloyd's Plumbing. This is horrible what Lloyd's Plumbing has done at my residence. Now that I know what the problem is, it is being fixed immediately by someone else.

Very dissatisfied with their service. They came out here two times did absolutely nothing but identified ""the problem"" and then charged $260 for doing absolutely nothing. I'm out $260 and nothing is even fixed. The second guy that was out here wasn't even here for 15 minutes and they charged $130 for not accomplishing anything.

They had come once before and I was pleased with the professionalism and courtesy. And he performed a job.
I thought I was safe with another call BUT- This plumber was annoyed when I asked him to put on booties to go upstairs ( He put on dirty used ones.) He set his dirty aluminum ticket pad on my new white upholstered chair. He was unprepared when he came to the door so spent time walking back and forth to the van. He did not want to listen to what the problem was so after he spent 40 minutes of time, flushed my toilet 12 times and ran my shower 15 minutes found the same problem that I had told him I thought I had. I had expected to get a new toilet ring but at the rate he was going and his attitude, I did not want him in my house anymore! He charged me $130 for nothing. I felt like he was only concerned with padding a bill.
I called the Main office to complain while he was there and was told by the office manager that she would follow up and get back to me the next day. It has been over a week.

Everyone is your friend till problems come up. That's when you discover the real person. Once they were paid we discovered a blatant attempt to cover up. The owner would not even hear us but became abusive immediately . It is shocking to hear someone say ""You got cheated. What are you going to do about it? "" Sadly, we got no satisfaction from Contractors Board. The owner told us he had no respect for word of mouth. Let's just hope it all comes around.

I am actually quite taken back by the level of service I received from Ryan at Lloyd's plumbing. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and spent the time explaining different scenarios that would help out our unique situation. We have quite a project so his patience was very helpful. I will surely be calling Ryan and the team again.

As a landscape designer with over 15 years of experience, I have seen a lot of slow, expensive, unreliable and otherwise unprofessional contractors. Lloyd's earned a gold star for contractors in my book. The company has been in the family for generations, and it shows: they are knowledgeable, personable, quick, thorough and their prices are fair. An excellent value.

Called Lloyd's after talking with my neighbor who had a major water disaster in his home and fired his first plumber and called Lloyd's. We have used two different plumbers with poor results and called Lloyd's. Ted arrived right on time (they called and gave us a heads up he was on the way) and did not give me a 3-5 hour window like most other plumbers. Ted fixed three issues with our upstairs bathroom and gave us a good estimate on a repair needed in another bathroom. He had al the catalogs and prices for the repair the will be needed. They were upfront and honest about what they charged and Ted was efficient and skilled. Lloyd's is now our plumber of choice. The staff is friendly and helpful on the phone, too.

I am a Property Manager and work from home. I deal with plumbing issues routinely for work but I never stop to think what if it happens to me at my home. Well this morning it did. After dropping off my daughter at school, I come home to hear a hissing noise in my garage. I look towards the water heater and sure enough, I have a leak coming from the copper piping and water is everywhere. UGH! I am supposed to be at my computer taking care of my properties not my home.
I have lived in the area for over 30 years and have always seen Lloyd's trucks cruising around and have even seen them at my neighbors. There must be a reason I still do this day see their trucks. Now I know why. When I called them this morning I spoke to a lady, sorry I didn't catch her name, she was wonderful. Understood my problem and asked the appropriate questions, placed me on hold for a second and came back to tell me we have someone on the way. WOW!!
Ted was at my door in 20 minutes and had not just the one but both failing copper pipes replaced in very little time. Although we will need remediation that Lloyd's doesn't perform, Ted had my emergency situation stabilized and referred a remediation company for us to call.
Thank you Ted and the rest of the team at Lloyd's! You were a life saver for me this morning.
I would highly recommend them.!!
Thanks again,
Darcy T.
