We used Light's Plumbing when our dishwasher had dirty water in the bottom of the dishwasher. We had just moved in that week and it was Friday after hours, knew it would be expensive on weekend, but it was outrageous. He uses a flat rate system and charged us over $400 for about a half hour of work snaking the sink, one pass. I'm writing this review on yelp to make sure peopke ask ahead of time roughly how long they anticipate it will take to do the job and what the rate is. Jason, likes to answer the many reviews he has regarding the outrageous fees, by stating its after hours, ""pay by the job, not by the hour"", and that it takes years to train plumbers to do their job and the equipment is extremely expensive. The owner of this company has justified on reviews of his rates that it takes 10 years to be able to complete 10 minute snaking jobs and the equipment is extremely expensive. It also takes 10 years to become a doctor and $200,000 in schooling, much in student loans, and rarely get paid $450 for a half hour of work. I'm sure as a plumber this business owner is uninterested in the doctor's student loans, the same way your customers don't want to hear about how much training it takes to do 10 minutes of snaking so that is why you charge what you charge.
I am from a northeast suburb of a major city and I can I assure you your rates are over inflated for Central rural Virginia.
Read the reviews. It's really easy for friends and acquaintances to give a 5 star, one or two sentence review.

Jason and his crew very reasonable and respectful. My calls were always returned in a timely manner. Once they showed up to do the work scheduled. They kept me included in everything they saw and were doing. Jason even sat in the torrential downpour for at least 2 hours getting the job done. If that doesn't say commitment then I don't know what does.

The guys who came did a good job. However, I was absolutely shocked when they gave me a bill for $305.00 for a job that took them 10 min to do. It would have been nice had they told me before they started the job that I was going to be paying $100 for each 3.5 min of work they did.

Nice enough guys, but the bill for 6 minutes of using pliers to tighten a handle was $168. Don't think I'll be using them in the future.

HI suggest you use this plumbing company at your own risk and M y wife will charge $425 to s unstop a simple drain in a shower.want to unstop a simple shower blocked up. The only thing the guy did was remove the commode. I took all of 30 minutes. Now for the good part. The man and his helper charge $425. 00 my wife is 80 years old and I feel she was taking advantage of big time and also they advertise that they guarantee they work. And also a 10% senior citizen discount. When I ask about this the man said they didn't do either. Beware if you call these people.

by far the worst company I've ever done business with. I called them because our pipes weren't draining through the house, they came out and said they used a camera in our lines determining we have ""belly's"" due to lack of a fall as well as a clogged main drain. He claimed he cleaned and main drain and the bellying could cause issues in the future but they fixed the issue. The very next day the issues returned so I called again asking for them to come fix the issue. Immediately Jason got very rude blaming the bellying for the retuned issues, so I hung up and called the receptionist back asking to speak to someone else, unfortunately this company is ran by the crook Jason himself. At that point I called another company who came out and confirmed my main line was never cleaned so I had to pay again for for but the reason for the clog was t bellying it was that our septic needed to be pumped.
Jason also agreed not to cash my check until the next Monday so my paychecks had time to clear, he lied and cashed it immediately causing my account to overdraw. He again lied and said he didn't which my bank confirmed he did. I paid this man $499 for absolutely nothing and he continues to lie refusing to show me the video he claims he captured bc it's ""his property"" I left a review on his Facebook page and he deleted it, which is propably why he has a ""5 star review"" he's very sneaking and extremely non customer oriented

Whatever you do, DO NOT use this company!!!!

It's been a couple of weeks, but I'm writing this review after getting over the shock of what I was charged. We thought we had a ""leak"" in the line going to our house. Turns out, I had solved the issue of a toilet that was leaking in the tank (needed to ""jiggle"" the handle!). The guys confirmed that we were okay after all. They were there a total of 15 minutes. Here's the kicker: charged us $128 for their ""services."" What a ripoff! We'll NEVER EVER use this company AGAIN, even if they're the last one standing in Lynchburg!!!

Great professional and honest company. I called last night at 9pm. Everyone else I spoke to thought my septic needed to be pumped. When I explained to Jason what was happening he said he believed it was a clog in one of the pipes. He came out the next morning by 9:15 and he was right. There was a clog. He diagnosed the problem fast and had it fixed in probably 20 minutes. They were very professional and affordable! He saved me probably $400. Lights Plumbing definitely has my business from now on and my recommendation to anyone who is in need of a plumber!

We made the mistake of calling a different plumbing company first and Light Plumbing second, should've just had them come out first! The other company came out and did a crappy job and didn't even come close to fixing our problem. Called Light Plumbing and they came out first thing that morning, found the problem, fixed the problem, and were gone in such a reasonable time and reasonable price!! (Which might I add was less than what the other company charged to do hardly anything) Amazing work and so thankful that there are still good people out there who take great care of their customers! Thank you guys for all the great, HONEST hard work y'all do!

I am extremely pleased, I called with an emergency underground leak. Lights came out within the hour and got it fixed very quickly. I was impressed with the timeliness and the quality of the job. I was particularly amazed with how little damage was done to my yard digging up the pipe in very, very, wet conditions. The price was more than reasonable, even if it hadn't been a rush job. I will most certainly use this plumbing company for future needs.
