We were longtime customers but they got so expensive we decided to not renew the Total Care program. They sent out a tech to do the spring inspection. He asked if we wanted to renew the contract ($350) and when told no, it was too expensive, he "inspected" our 3 units an said all good. Actually one unit was not even working, breaker tripped, compressor out. Now replacing but using Gregg Air who are reasonable and efficient.
Last year Lightfoot quoted a new unit that was $1500 above a competitor. Quoted $8300 for new ductwork, but got it done for $3250.

They are all about the money and not the customer.

Super high bid and thankfully some lower priced options. HOWEVER I have not received any emailed bids. I have called 3x requesting them. I received the email for survey. Bummer

DO NOT use LightfooT Mechanical and definitely DO NOT get a membership with them, it is a complete waste of money. This company has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life.

Being a member is supposed to provide priority service as well as discount prices, this is a joke. We needed to have our pipes unclogged in the kitchen and it took over 2 weeks to even have someone come out to look. When they came out they didn't even look at the clogged pipes but instead told us that we needed to replace our garbage disposal and it would cost almost $700. My husband ordered and replaced the garbage disposal on his own, which like we thought was not the problem, the pipes were still clogged and water was still backing up in our kitchen and laundry room. We called someone out to fix the clog again and Josh showed up hours late with an attitude and without a mask on during a global pandemic. When I asked him to put on a mask before entering my house I was met with an eye roll and sarcasm. He then proceeded to let me know that our drain was clogged, which we have now know for over a month with no help from Lightfoot. He let me know that it would cost over $300 to fix this clog, keep in mind this is the "discounted price" for being a member. I wrote a check and placed it to the side to call and ask my husband if this was a reasonable price., I never handed him the check. My husband quickly told me no, absolutely not that this was a rip off and to not allow the service to be completed by Lightfoot. While I was on the phone with my husband the plumber took a picture of my check without my knowledge and cashed it. I did not know this at the time but discovered that he fraudulently cashed the check without my knowledge or performing any services the next morning when the money was removed from our account.

Since having a membership with Lightfoot we have not seen any benefits. We have had terrible customer service from many employees including Sylvia in the front office who likes to address customer complaints with rudeness and sarcasm. We had to have 3 visits and waited over a month of have our pipes unclogged.

The only positive I have encountered from this company is Jacob, one of the plumbers, who was kind, respectful, and very competent. He was sent back the 3rd time to fix the clogged pipe. He did this with a mask on, with kindness and respect, and also was able to have the pipes unclogged in less that 30 minutes.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT use Lightfoot Mechanical unless you want to deal with laziness, incompetence, disrespect, and terrible customer service.

HORRIBLE EXPLOITATIVE COMPANY
We have used Lightfoot one time prior to the storms last week. During the winter storm last week we had a pipe break like so many others and called Lightfoot. They told us they could not get out to us for a couple of weeks but if we signed up for their preferred maintenance program for $299.00 they could come out in a few days. They said they were prioritizing calls for customers on that program. So in other words they could have come out but were not going to unless I signed up. Many people like me have livestock that desperately needed water to the point of an emergency. We were lucky we had neighbors to get water from, but they didn't know that. Also, how many didn't have a source of water for their animals? They were more interested in making a dollar than helping people in dire need. We called every single company in our area and they were the only company to pull this crap. The company we used, Malone Plumbing, were fantastic and said they were prioritizing emergency situations first like those with livestock. They were professional, caring, fixed our pipes and were a fraction of the cost of Lightfoot with their service call and program costs. I have told everyone I know about what Lightfoot did and will continue to do so. Needless to say we will never use them again. Taking advantage of people in emergency situations is about as low as you can go. Please don't support a scumbag company like this.

Do not use this company, I had them come out because my one year old central heat was not working. Jarrod came over said the unit was showing some kind of error codes? He went back and looked more. I was told my modulator motor was bad and I needed a new one. $400 for the motor, $250 for two surge protectors. I decided to get a second opinion. Thank goodness I did, Amil from A-1 Hvac came right over. He said my motor was working great. He just had to reprogram the unit.
I am telling everyone I can so they don't get cheated like I almost did.

They confirmed appointment in the morning on the date they were scheduled for service, but never arrived and never called to let us know they would not be able to come.

Called this company because we had electrical issue on Saturday 02/13/21 and they gave us appointment between noon and five pm. At 5: 45 called since they had not called or texted as they said they would and was told they had no one to send out. Wanted to reschedule us for 9 days out!! Would not use this company!! Keeping appointments is number one priority!!

To send out an electrician and trouble shoot and repair my daughters closet light, the grand total was $270+ and that was with the $50 coupon they sent me in the mail. Took the guy 20 minutes. I will never use Lightfoot for another job EVER.

My water heater was 4 years old from Lowes. Cost $595 installed. He arrived hours late and charged that much to replace two elements and quoted me $1800 for a new water heater. I would not use them again.
