They have overcharged for service for my elderly parents for a while and until now I had no idea. My mother signed a service contract and they charged her $90 over the agreed price, now my mother is alone and in a wheelchair and they said she needed a new furnace and could cause a catastrophic event. Not true, got someone else out there and it was serviced with no problem .

I, like another reviewer, also had a plumbing emergency arise. Toilets wouldn't flush/drain and the bathtubs and showers weren't draining. I rented an auger at Home Depot to try and clear the clog myself, but after a couple hours of unknowingly snaking the wrong clean-out pipe, I called it quits. Now, I did try and use several other plumbing service companies in the area but they were all booked up until the next day and that wasn't an option. Called Lightfoot, they had a plumber available around noon. They showed up promptly, and quickly identified the correct clean-out pipe that would access the clog. If I had that information beforehand, this fix would've cost me the $45 to rent the auger myself. The plumber then approached me with body language that said he really didn't want to have to tell me the price of what this service was going to cost. He didn't tell me; he showed me the total on a company iPad. $430. To clear the line. Apparently my body language was telling as well, because all of a sudden he has a $50 coupon he can add. So $380 to snake a line, which he finished in about 15 minutes.
The work was performed well and professionally and all plumbing in the house is back to 100%, hence the 3 stars. But I can't help but feel like I was taken advantage of for a situation that they knew was dire for my family and I. I called and spoke with two other plumbers I know through work that aren't local and explained the work performed, both of them told me that anything over $200 would have been pretty ridiculous. If you're stuck and absolutely have to use Lightfoot, politely ask for a quote before scheduling any service calls.

Long story short! They way overcharged for a compressor relay at $337! They were $1500 higher than the other two bids I got to replace complete system. Their price was the same, cash or credit. I paid cash and saved myself a few bucks. Very disappointed with these guys! Thought that being new to the area I would try to build a relationship with them so I could depend on them for other work. Not now!

Called Lightfoot out for their $93 drain clean. Wound up charging me $342. Watch out for their so called "$93" drain clean.

I scheduled an appointment with Lightfoot Mechanical to come out and give me an estimate installing replacement hardwired smoke alarms. The appointment window they gave me was today, 9/18/2019 from 12 noon until 5 pm. It is now 6:04 and they have not shown up. I place 2 calls before 5:30 and the office said the technician was on his way and would call me. The technician just called at 6:05 pm after I have waited more than 6 hours and asked if he could reschedule for tomorrow. This is definitely not good business practice and very poor customer service.
I plan to also notify my everyone on my neighborhood group so they do not waste their time with this company.

The plumber that was dispatched was very nice personally, but the $40 service fee just to tell me that the repair was going to cost me $1700 was VERY high for reconnecting a rubber hose. I know who i won't ever call again for simple plumbing repairs.

We had an emergency plumbing problem. They responded the same day and remedied our issue. However, the cost of their work was VERY high. We were stuck between a rock and a hard spot. Additionally, the plumber mistakenly turned off electrical breaker to an A/C unit instead of a gas water heater that he did work on and then failed to turn A/C breaker back on. So, not only a plumbing problem & overcharging, but now our A/C stopped working??!!
We will never use them again.

I cannot believe this company has any calls whatsoever. In fact, I would love to give no stars, but I guess everyone gets a participation award, so here's there thank you for being a total disaster award. First, we had Casey come out to try to fix the bathtub faucet, only to find he was too inept to do this. So he left after after telling us to order a faucet on amazon because his company charges too much - wow, let's go ahead and tell us they overcharge the public. So that's day one taken off of work. We got said faucet from amazon and scheduled for the following Friday with a window of 1-4 pm. Guess what? They never called. Finally we called them and was told it would be a while they were working on an emergency repair. Then around 7:30 were told they weren't coming- day two taken off work. Rick came on Saturday. You would have thought this was his first time to put in a faucet -- slow as a snail in on mood depressants. Finally he charged us and left, saying he would be in contact because he doesn't keep a basic plumbing substance called sealer in his van. He also could not get his legos right and was going to bring a gold piece to make the faucet correct. Hum... here I sit one week to the day later unable to look at my ugly unsealed incomplete faucet. Not an enjoyable bath for me.

After contacting Rinnai to report that my tankless propane hot water heater was not working, and was dripping water from the heat exchanger they gave me the contact info for Lightfoot mechanical. I called and spoke to Mitzy this morning (She was very nice and helpful) and she set up an appointment for this afternoon with a tech. She told me the price for the visit and diagnostic was $40 and I agreed to pay with a credit card. When the plumber called late this afternoon he told me the cost was now $40 for the trip to my house and @$180.00 for a diagnostic fee, which was literally looking at the unit and verifying that it is leaking water, indicating the heat exchanger is bad. Rinnai already verified the heat exchanger was under warranty still, but that the labor was not covered. I'm all good with that, but the increase in cost, the excessive price of $180.00 was simply unrealistic. THEN the plumber (Robert, who was polite enough) called me back and said he had spoken with his supervisor and he told me that he would have to order the heat exchanger and when it came in he would need to come back out to install it and that it would take all day and the cost would be $2000.00. I am sure there would be an additional fee for travel. Now we are at $2,220.00+ total. I cancelled the plumbers appointment because I felt there was something wrong, and I was right. I called Rinnai again and they were stunned, I mean STUNNED, at the cost I was quoted and promised to have the local Rinnai Rep. contact Lightfoot Mechanical to sort this out. Keep in mind, a complete brand new Unit costs $1371 from Amazon, including shipping. I'm writing this review for anyone who might be looking for honest recommendations, I'm here to tell anyone interested to be careful of this business. By The Way, Rinnai voluntarily offered to send a new replacement heat exchanger to my local plumber tonight (with only my assurance of the problem) to be delivered FedEx tomorrow to my local town plumber. I normally do not post anything unless there is an outrageous problem, and this encounter definitely counts as that.

Following moving into a new house I called Lightfoot Mechanical out for an initial inspection. Their tech was new to them and did not carry all the inspection items on his check list even though I later found he had ticked all boxes. They quoted $2,500 to replace a gas water heater for a system I could buy with same warranty and manufacturer for $400. When I queried the cost with their head office, I got a very rude response.
Steer clear of these people. They are very questionable.
