Since many northern sites and communities are not linked by roads, we often design treatment systems for fixed wing and/or helicopter transport.

Back in 1998, Lifewater was asked by a couple in Fairbanks to develop a sewage treatment system for their permafrost-based home.

The system had to work above ground, without buried tanks or leach fields, to prevent the permafrost from thawing.

The system needed to function at -60°F, be easy to install and maintain, affordable, and state-approved.

This challenge sparked the creativity of Lifewater's founder, Bob Tsigonis.

A man of faith, Bob says that after prayer, a simple yet effective design emerged, creating a system that met the homeowners' needs and provided them with peace of mind.
