In 1998, a couple in Fairbanks asked Lifewater to create a sewage treatment system for their home, built on permafrost.

The onsite residential sewage treatment system could not have any buried tanks or a leach field because they would add heat to the ground, causing the permafrost to thaw.

The system needed to function at -60°F, be easy to install and maintain, affordable, and state-approved.

This challenge ignited the imagination of Lifewater's founder, Bob Tsigonis.

Being a man of faith, Bob clarifies that after a time of prayer, an elegantly simple design emerged, culminating in a system that met all the homeowners' requirements and brought them value and peace of mind.
